The place is trying to do too many cuisines and not doing any of them that well. The sushi safe as I'm still here, but the quality of the fish from my pallet is not sushi grade. Perhaps it once was the sushi grade, but the fish was dry and rubbery, perhaps from sitting in the refrigerator too long. The rice was extremely damp. If anything, they should drop their prices in order to create more volume and have fresher product. The ambience is not in Japanese, which is a red flag. Perhaps some customers might find the decor kitschy or eclectic but when you're putting raw food in your body this is not the feeling you want. read more

This is not a Sushi Bar. It is misleading and an embarrassment to Sushi bars. The kind and pleasant owners are doing themselves a huge disservice by trying to be everything to everyone. They are advertised as a Thai restaurant. We tried some and it was fine. The owner is a baker and is very proud of his Italian homemade desserts. Very pricy desserts! It as far as the sushi goes... we had to send it back. We are good people so we insisted to pay for it but could not get past a bite. It was refrigerator burned fish... all of it. The spicy tuna was browning which means too much oxygen from age and again improper storage. Anyways I don't want to beat them up because they are a mom and pop and the Thai is the start of their show. Give them a try and let me remind you to take a pass on the sushi that they prepare in a closed kitchen. Peace! read more

Fuji sushi is a relatively new sushi spot within the already exhausting Thai restaurant in Camarillo. I've been seeing that it's one of the only delivery sushi restaurants in the area so I was wanting to give it a try. There are many pros here: 1. They have a large, extensive menu. Easily something for everyone. I found it hard to narrow down what to get. 2. Biggest pro, they deliver (hence most of the reviews). 3. The service was friendly to start & finish, they deliver quickly, were friendly, my order was taken correctly, and overall the presentation despite being "to-go" still looked pretty darn good. You can tell this is a business that appreciates your service & will go the extra mile to make you happy. Now for the cons: I can honestly say the sushi was overall sub par. The people leaving 5 stars saying it's some of the best sushi ever kind of scare me, I know I'm a sushi snob but I couldn't even call it anything better then 3 star sushi. The only Roll that tasted pretty good was a cooked lobster roll. Otherwise my scallop roll & Halloween roll were a little on the stale side. Here they use a strange variety of crab for the interior of their rolls, has anyone noticed this?. It's nothing like I've ever tasted before, stringy & dry it was a hard flavor to overcome. Also myself not liking the scallop roll was my fault, spicy scallop rolls usually come with a creamy spicy filling or Sirracha sauce on top but whatever spicy sauce they used here was wayyyy too spicy for me, had to throw that roll out. Also the price is equal to my favorite sushi spots of about $30+. For "ok" sushi it wasn't worth it, yes it was nice to have it delivered but truthfully I would have rather taken sushi to go and had to drive 10 mins then pay the same price for this sushi. Overall everyone here is great & they've mastered sushi delivery. Unfortunately I will not use them again as the sushi was not to my taste. read more

This is located inside the Thai Peru restaurant as a tiny sushi bar in the back. We got three rolls to go with lots of ginger. The ginger was a little sour, but overall pretty good. the three rolls had eel, spicy tuna, and tempura among other items. While the rolls were all not bad, none were really great. While I ate the rolls and was satisfied, I didn't feel like any were worth going back for. Honestly, while this place may be good for people who want sushi delivered to their house, I really don't recommend it if you can go out for sushi. Of couse, since there are so many great reviews here, it's possible I just went on a bad day. read more

This little sushi stop was inside the Thai Peru shop. It's honestly not a separate restaurant, but it's a area inside it. A little confusing. The actual takeout sushi was decently priced, and the presentation was great and useful. The sauce was put into separate cups so the sushi wasn't soggy when I got to it. Greatly appreciated it! The sushi itself was decent, with big pieces. They used real pieces of scallops which was cool! It's your good "average" sushi. I'll be back. read more

Absolute worst experience with the rudest customer service! After waiting over an hour for a delivery order over $70 (THAT I WAS CHARGED FOR!), I called the restaurant to inquire about where and when I can expect my food. I was rudely snapped at by the man on the phone claiming they are not accepting deliveries. I asked why they wouldn't reach out to notify that the good was never coming and why I had been charged for the very large order, he again snapped saying listen listen not our fault, yelp will repay you. I have gotten sushi and other items from their kitchen delivered over 20 times, the last one being about 5 days ago. After the way this person treated me I will not eat here again. I'm not into trying new things at all. Usually only eat American foods but this place is actually good. I will give 5 stars to show how good the food actually was. I've ordered several times from delivery , pick up and sometimes dine in if I'm in the area and I do see some negative reviews but at the end of the day, it's a restaurant, no one can be lightning fast. The food was very delicious.... except I ended up going to the ER :( I had a weird type of food poisoning called scromboid poisoning which happens from when you eat raw fish that was not kept in the right temperatures. My face swelled, had a really bad headache, face became bright red, hives and rashes everywhere on my body like an allergic reaction. I'm fine now though. Just disappointed. Thought I found a place where my husband and I can enjoy sushi because it tasted so good. Beware of what you order from this place. If you experience the same symptoms that I had 30 minutes after eating from here, take some benadryl and possibly go to the ER read more

I never write terrible reviews unless it really was a terrible experience and my roommates and I have come here for the all you can eat sushi multiple times and the food and the service just gets worse every time. The server(s) hubby/wife are so rude like they wouldn't care if came back or even if I'm writing this review right now. As being members of the service industry we totally understand being busy but even in a rush the server(a) -aka( the owners) are some of the rudest people we have ever met. Which is unfortunate for them because making regulars is what keeps a small "mom and pop" shop like this open. I've ordered from here about 8 times now. Sushi has always been on point. I usually go for the shrimp roll, the salmon roll, or the classic claifornia. It's always fresh and pretty delicious. I recently began to order their non sushi entre, I got the teriyaki dish, which consists of cut up chicken a scoop of rice and some broccoli. It's pretty good but seems a little on the light side for the chicken. I got a side of noodles, which was not the type of noodles I thought it would be... but that's on me for assuming it was different. Overall still a good spot to grub especially for those deliveries, only thing that does suck is they upped their minimum order to $25 before taxes, when I first ordered a few months ago minimum was 20 bux! read more

My family and I ordered Fuji Sushi by delivery. The food arrived quicker than we expected which was a pleasant surprise. The sushi was fresh and well prepared. We were also very pleased by the artistic presentation of the food. Not only did it taste incredible but the presentation was beautiful. We ordered a variety of rolls and a cucumber salad. I felt that the food was actually underpriced based on the quality and quantity of what we recieved. We will definitely be repeat customers. The volcano roll was excellent and my kids absolutely loved the California rolls. The only thing I regret about my order is that we didn't order more. I called and asked where my food was they said it was out for delivery, then it showed up 1 hour later. The food was good. So I didn't complain. But the 2nd time I ordered it was 2 hours late... Caution!!! I called Fuji Sushi around 10:45 one night, because I got off of work at 10:00 and there aren't many "healthy" options open late in Camarillo. The Chirashi Bowl was delicious, and had good portions. I thought I had found a new open late gem. I ordered a Chirashi bowl again last week, and within a few hours my face and neck were covered in a rash. The next day, my muscles were spasming. On the third day, my finger tips went numb and my rash was still there. In my +30 years, I have never had an allergic reaction to food of any kind. This was definitely from a toxin in the fish, or the way the fish was stored or handled. I have nothing against them, but sadly I will never be eating there again. read more

Had an extensive menu selection to choose from and was super convenient to order through the Yelp app. The sushi was delivered quickly and came with plenty of wasabi, ginger, and sauce. The attention to detail, like having to accommodate my family's food allergies, was great.
