My husband and I decided to try something new when it comes to sushi. We have our favorite in town and another AYCE that is an hour away. This is your place had good reviews so we decided to give it a try. I can't say I was impressed because I have had better sushi. It was not bad however it was not great. It felt like the kitchen was taken forever to make the rules, despite having a lot of staff. Staff were nice and professional. We had the spicy garlic edamame. I did not like that. It had the chili flakes on top of it. Usually, it is more of a good flavor rather than just chili flakes. Our favorite was the mango tango. we also tried in and out tuna, which was OK. We also had the spicy salmon and the salmon lovers. Overall, I would give them four out of five may or may not return. We also had four rolls to go, the only different one was the fast Eddie. We had told our server pretty much the same one we had ordered which we meant the in and out however she was distracted and said fast Eddie and he said yes but that was double the price of the other one. I stopped by for a pickup order for some rolls. They have good rolls for decent prices. They are busy most of the time which is why I would rather place a pickup order instead of dining in. Staff was friendly when picking up my order but I did have to wait additional time as it was not ready on time. One of their regular customers was parked in between 2 parking spaces in front of their door and after I my order, I said to him, that's really rude to park like that, and he said, Let's take it outside and call me a black b word guided my face.The encounter went on for at least ten minutes , not one staff member said anything to that man as he towered over me cursing and using racial epithets. But they allowed his girlfriend or wife to go behind the counter, to get bowls and cups and whatever else.And she very clearly did not work there here down to her back around people's food , not even in a ponytail. What we ordered: I got the Cucumber salad, spicy edamame and the Sushi/Sashimi Combo (6 pieces of each). My friends both ordered the Combos. One got Teriyaki beef, Mixed tempura with 3 shrimp and various veggies. It came with Miso soup and rice and sushi(4) and sashimi. My other friend ordered the Box A Combo. Came in for lunch since I had jury duty down the street. Server was friendly. Ordered an lunch "pick two." I got tempura shrimp and chicken teriyaki. The chicken was meh, room temperature and too much sauce for my taste. The tempura was really well done in terms of the batter, frying, and flavor. I Love Sushi went from my favorite sushi place to a place I won't go to again. The quality has dropped substantially. Portion sizes are approximately 1/3 smaller than before. Slices of fish are now very thin on sushi. My salmon had pin bones. The sushi smelled fishy, not a sign of freshness. My ginger was dried up and appeared old. The California roll had no visible avocado. The shrimp tempura was tiny. I could go on. While quality has gone down, prices are premium. This is by far one of me and my sister's favorite go-to place to get some quality sushi. Even take out orders are superb. We go there about 15 mins after opening and it was pretty empty at first and more people started to trickle in towards the end of our meal. Between my sister, my bf, and I shared 1 sashimi appetizer, 4 rolls, and 2 large hot sakes. All delicious (honestly could have added another roll or two but thats just because we were hungry). For the most part we get the same typical 3 rolls: Salmon Lover, King Kong, and Golden Member BUT we tried to do some things different this time. What we got: - Spicy Tuna Sashimi : Literally always fresh tasting and flavorful for such a simple slice of tuna - Salmon Lover Roll (my fav): If you love salmon on your sushi...you can't go wrong with this - King Kong Roll: The lemon is a nice citrus addition - Green Dragon Roll: Basic but packed with all the right flavors - T. F. D. Roll (limited edition): Honestly, this was really good and the Halibut had an amazing texture to it. I've been a regular customer for years, and somewhat generally the food is well above average. But in tonight's order, which was to-go, I noticed that the sushi pieces were smaller than usual. Worse, the amount of wasabi provided for a pretty large order was, well, "smidgens" would have been an improvement. Not sure whether they have adopted a strategy of forcing you to pay for sufficient amounts of wasabi (which is, for me, a critical part of the experience), or if they have a new, significantly clueless sushi chef. I got the garlic albacore roll (i love albacore) and asked the waiter to surprise me with her favorite roll. She chose the sunset roll with her special sauce on the side (not sure what it was but i'm not picky) So good. The service was quick and everyone was kind (I went on a Saturday at 6:30ish pm) The food was so fresh and tasty. I spent about $35 for two rolls and a water and it was totally worth it. Went for dinner at 6:30pm on a weekday and it was completely packed inside! They offered us two seats at the bar but my friend had called earlier that day for a reservation so they had a table saved for us. We sat down and the server came around for drinks and then came for our order. We used Yelp for suggestions and got the golf pro Hand roll but then we couldn't figure out what else to get. The server helped us out with options and she gave us several options to pick from. I definitely need to go back to try more items. She was super nice and brought us miso soup since it was our first time there! Starting this off with, my complaint is towards the takeout, and waitresses, the food was amazing as always, and seeing as i sat around waiting for a long time, the table service seem to go a lot better. i used to go to I love Sushi a lot more when I was younger, it had been a while since I was last there. But last night i ordered takeout and will never make that mistake again. It takes ALOT for me to complain, as I worked in the restaurant industry for 10+ years. I came in ordered takeout expecting to have a wait, the place was busy so I understand that, but it ended up being 45 mins and I actually watched a couple Come in after i ordered my food, be seated and receive their food (one being the exact role i ordered) right away while i still would be waiting and waiting. Then on top of that the waitress would bring food out and checked with 2 other women to see their name order but never spoke to me, only the host would talk to me. the host went on break and came back and was like "your food is still not ready?" and i said idk and pointed to the food that a waitress had just set behind the front desk. The waitress walked past me and set my bag of food behind the front desk and walked away!!! and the host was on break! didnt even think to ask what my name was or what i was waiting for!' I've never seen that happen anywhere ever. and also if you're gonna sit at wait 45 mins on a Wednesday night for your sushi and be treated like you don't exist by half the staff you probably shouldnt have the head sushi chef behind the counter making food and drinking beer and taking Saki shots at the same time ‍ read more

The place is filthy now , if you sit near bathrooms you can smell the mold and filth on base boards, it's gross it smells like a dirty mop and urine ; the food was not tasty, seared tuna was dried out and presentation was not the same, overall the rolls were sloppy and just a big disappointment; it was hard to eat rice with the dirty floors near bathroom going into the kitchen, I wouldn't touch the fish., We will look for another place that takes pride in cleanliness and fresh food .. This is my second time going to this place, and I don't think I will go back. The food was good, but my two star rating is because we went there at 12:00 pm (lunch hours) we ordered the "lunch special" and the price marked on the menu was $18.99. When we got the check, our lunch special price was $21.99, when we told our server that there was a mistake and the price was incorrect she say "no, we are charging you the "dinner special" because today is a holiday. I don't agree with this because first of all, for us, it was not a holiday, we were working and went there during our lunch hour. And secondly, if there's a different price, your menu should show it or at least the server should have said something when taking the order. I also didn't like the fact that i was charged $2.00 for two teaspoons of Sriracha, again, your staff should say something about the hidden charges. read more

Totally overrated!! And I think they've let their name go to their head!! I was a regular customer here until I was turned away during their regular business hours not once, not twice but three times for stupid reasons! The first 2 times was because they had "run out of rice"!! What kind of well known sushi place runs out of rice! And the third and last time was when my mom and I rushed from across town to get there in time, but after walking in, the staff was just sitting around and told us that they had to close and hour sooner because they had no business!! So I found another sushi place here in town that is just out of this world and we especially love taking advantage of their mad happy hour any day of the week!! Another thing that always annoyed and confused me about this place, is their choice of music! I mean what in the world does country music or trance music have anything to do with Japanese food!! And when we begged them once to please turn down the loud club music that was being played, we were told that the music helps them work better!! So for them, it's really about themselves and not the paying customers. Needless to say, they've lost my business and will never go back.
