My weekly spot. With many sushi places in the area, Fujiya always has been my choice. Albacore Delight is my go to.

Fujiya is my go to spot in Camarillo for reasonably priced Japanese food. I usually only order off the regular menu so can't say much about the AYCE since I'm not a big eater and I prefer more variety over quantity. Although I do enjoy sushi and sashimi, I find that my favorites from Fujiya are mostly the cooked food, such as the green mussels, salmon Kama, yellowtail Kama, and the agedashi tofu. There is just so much flavor in these dishes that it really overshadows the raw items such. One exception would be the poki salad, there's something about the sauce/dressing that I really like and once I started eating it I didn't stop until it was all gone. Their sashimi salad is also very yummy and you get quite a bit for the price. Service is always great, from the lady that is always there, to the younger servers, I've never had any issues and always felt welcomed. read more

Since it's the only all you can eat sushi spot in the area, I continue to return when I'm with some friends and we're craving a large amount of sushi. However, if you're looking for anything but to stuff yourself full of sushi, I would not recommend. The sushi is very mediocre and not very good if you're looking for some tasty non-AYCE sushi. Good quality with everything I had. I do see the issue with too much rice on the sishi and hand rolls. I understand what they mean by the sushi rice being a little dry.... But hands down worth the price offered, and I feel like you receive far more than what you pay for. We had an extremely disappointing experience at this AYCE restaurant. We go to get sushi fairly often and was in town to grab a quick dinner. Only made it through one round of AYCE. Sushi of fish to rice ratio was terrible. There was so much rice with small amount of fish. The rice was extremely dry. When confronting the waitress and owner about it, she was upset with us. Her reaction was not a pleasant and tried to put it on us that this is how the proportions are everywhere. We tried to communicate with her and showed her what the sushi looked like, however, she didn't want to reason, gave us an attitude, and insisted in us ordering a 2nd round. Very upsetting experience. Would not recommend going to this restaurant. They don't care about their customers here. If we can put a 0 Star don't recommend, we would. read more

We've been coming to Fujiya for all you can eat sushi for years. They have a great diverse menu and we love the quality of the fish. Great place to come for special occasions, with friends, etc. The service has always been great and personable, though there can be a small wait on holidays (we went on Valentine's Day one year but expected the wait). The price of all you can eat has steadily risen, now it's around $36 per person, but still the only one in Camarillo. We end up spending around $90 for two people all you can eat plus drinks and tip. The location is small and cute, you can see the sushi makers behind the bar. The bathroom could use an update. read more

I've been meaning to come to Fujiya for their AYCE deal and I am so glad I finally did. As I walked in, I was greeted by the chef and offered a table after ringing the bell at the front. That is a thing to note: there is a service button at every table, and I imagine you might feel neglected if you are dining in during a busy day and forget the button exists. But ring it, and you will be taken care of right away. The AYCE dinner is $36, and they offer a few drinks with refills for a low price; I had the hot green tea. The service was lightning-quick, and the food was pretty good. The AYCE deal includes some appetizers as well, which added a nice variety to my meal. My favorite appetizer out of the ones that I tried were the green mussels. The seating was comfortable, and I was regaled throughout my entire meal by a playlist of 2010s and more recent pop songs. The staff once again waved goodbye and thanked me as I left. This was a great experience, I am glad Camarillo still has Fujiya's AYCE sushi. read more

I've been here 3 times now and it feels like the service and quality of the food is getting progressively worse. Last time we came it was pretty much empty and nowhere near closing time, with full staff, yet they took so long to even get our order and bringing them took even longer. They have a "all you cab eat" sushi deal for $36, which is what we always came for. But this time they were really lagging it, we waited 30 minutes for our sushi after they took forever to even get our orders. Also the sushi? It was really poor tasting this time and they couldn't even name was rolls they gave us. Literally one of the rolls tasted really bad and smoky, strangely? We went with 4 regulars who love this place. We were a party of 7 and our server was super helpful when it came to splitting the check. Everyone in the group did all you can eat so it was simple for them to break it down. The pros: would I go back? Absolutely, and that's probably the most important part. The fish was fresh and all you can eat pricing is an insane deal if you go when you're hungry. The servers were friendly, the music was good and not too loud. Everyone loved their food. I really appreciate the ordering sheet lets you order in rounds. The cons: the bathroom was rough. The servers disappeared for long stretches of time. We ran out of water and soda multiple times. Seems as though Fujiya is under new ownership. Thank goodness! Previous long time owners started utilizing delay tactics which caused us to stop patronizing this place. Only returned due to the recent reviews. Glad we did! Food seems to be about the same but the service is 100% better. Our server was attentive and checked on us often. I placed a to go order for the volcano roll and a regular phil roll. I called around 3PM and the sushi was ready about 15 minutes later. Both rolls were amazing. The sauce (I believe eel sauce) that came with the volcano roll had the right amount of sweetness to it. The salmon itself was not dry and I felt like I was given a fair amount. I really don't like giving bad reviews especially to small mom and pop shops but this is my experience(s) and I'm hoping it'll create changes for the better. Now I enjoy sushi of all kind... I am happy with cheap rolls and AYCE places all the way to fancy omakase experiences, so I don't often discriminate. The first time I came to Fujiya I was already a little weary. They do have very cheap prices, but it seems as if you get what you pay for. The things that concerned me was the quality of fish as well as the cleanliness of the environment. The air felt stale, there were fruit flies, and the sushi on the display didn't have a very vibrant color. The bathrooms were even worse. Still we had a few rolls, the service was very friendly, and we went home full. The second time we went we tried their AYCE lunch option, and while the quality was the same as the first visit, sub-par sushi, this time we got food poisoning and were sick for a few days. This is when I knew I should've trusted my instincts the first time and won't make that mistake again in the future. We won't be back, especially since there are other options in town, but I really hope the sanitary concerns are addressed because the staff and owners seemed very hardworking and kind. read more

Doesn't look like much from the outside, but when you walk in it looks like a outside Oriental Garden. The sushi is actually really good. The waiter was very nice. Nobody was eating in tonight when we were there so the service was quick. I did notice like 4 pick up orders for food to go tho. The sushi came prepared nicely. Only complaint I have is the place needs a good cleaning. And also sprayed for spiders. A spray of 409 on the walls would be a quick fix. Feels like too much filth, which is sad, because the food is great. I saw a dead spider in the bathroom and a little spider in the corner on the floor. Cheap, fill you up AYCE sushi joint. The price was decent, parking is vast. Just do not park under a light pole, unless you want your car covered in bird poop. The fish are decent and portioned. However, way too much rice, at least double the amount compared to other sushi places. Seriously, you will get diabetes. The bad, the rice is not seasoned, and feels like a day or two old. A good sushi is the rice, not the fish. Seriously, if they work up on the rice and serve less, they would get a 4 stars. read more

Family owned and our new favorite sushi spot!! Great price for all you can eat- only $34.95 per person! We came here the day of hurricane Hillary and when we walked in we were surprised how many people were there that day. After our experience we weren't surprised at all! This place has been there since 2007 and we know why it's lasted even through the pandemic! Great quality sushi, excellent service and delicious rolls. We had the spicy garlic edamame (yum!), cucumber salad, yellowtail and albacore sushi, ultimate rainbow roll, ultimate albacore roll, albacore delight roll. Everything was absolutely delicious and the service was excellent too! RJ was very attentive and friendly. Cassie was also very personable and a pleasure talking with. I ate at this restaurant on Monday. I was on business and I chose to restaurant because the rice to fish ratio was small. just a little rice and lots of fish. That is not what I got. Maybe because I ordered the all you can eat and they saw how much i was eating. I sat there and watched other orders of sushi being taken to other tables and the fish overwhelmed the rice, not like mine. Food was good but I was not happy with the portions of fish.
