Sadly this place is getting worse over time it seems. The first time or two it was pretty good and every other time it's been super disappointing. Tonight I finally decided I won't be going back. The hibachi hardly comes with any veggies other than cabbage, not sure if that's them being cheap and cutting costs but that's a little ridiculous. The chicken was super dry and flavorless. Im a very indecisive person when it comes to food choices and they never give me attitude or act like they didnt want to help me. And the food is soooooo amazing. I visited Hibachi Express yesterday Sunday, September 25th 2023. I did my due diligence in seeking a good Asian Restaurant and came across Hibachi Express. This restaurant receives 4 and 5 stars consistently. When I arrived, there were 3 cars in the drive thru. Good sign. I went in to order a House Fried Rice (fried rice with shrimp, chicken and steak). The employee at the counter asked me how I wanted my steak cooked. I chose medium thinking this was the first time an Asian restaurant asked me that. Well, the House Fried Rice started out promising. It smelled good in my car while on the way home. This is where it gets worse. The taste of the food was bland. Really bland. No flavoring. No different than any Asian Restaurant I tried in Hiram, GA. The steak were small cubes of over cooked meat. There were lots of chicken and shrimp as well but none of it had any taste at all. They do give you Yum Yum sauce which does not enhance anything. This is the first time we have tried this restaurant. The hibachi chicken was very dry with absolutely no sauce (yum yum sauce on the side). The vegetables were hard. I didn't have lunch today and decided to give them a try. I order the chicken special, added veggies, and two veggie egg rolls. Everything tasted good. The chicken wasn't dry and white meat. There was a good amount of veggies. The egg rolls was great. They were crispy and airy. It had a hint of rosemary which was new but refreshing in the egg roll. When I saw the container I was thinking I'm still going to be hungry because it didn't look like a lot. Once I got home it was enough for two meals. The container of yum yum sauce was more than enough to have left over. I wish they added some soy sauce or duck sauce in the bag or at least asked if I wanted some. Just a quick tip. If you are using a card and spend under $5, there's a 50 cent fee added. Over $5 you are good. They didn't say anything while at the drive thur. She just asked was I paying with a card or cash without saying there's a fee. If they did I could've went across the street to the atm. read more

Went here on Thursday 6/13/19 for the first time (drive thru). Ordered the Sesame Chicken was very disappointed the chicken was old and rubbery and sauce was overly sweet, we also ordered the Shrimp Fried Rice and was pleasantly pleased with the taste and happy that the shrimp were deveined but the vegetables mainly the green peas seem to have a strange texture maybe just undercooked with this all being said, we will give this restaurant a second try (dine-in) in the future. read more
