    Sushi chirashi and combo lunch

Very nice sushi for pricing. Not fancy but it provides the sushi i wanted and portions were about right.

I'm so glad I found this restaurant as I will go out of my way to come here if I get the craving. The best sushi that's a bang for your buck in Katy, I love coming here and the waitress is extremely polite and will remember you if you come regularly. I always order the Salmon combo and love it every time.

I came here awhile ago with my friends and their kids and my kid. I completely forgot to take a review then but from what I remember, the service was immaculate. The server ladies (multiple of them) were very diligent with our ordering, to refilling our waters and also was just a delight. My kid was not feeling well and he made a mess everywhere. The ladies helped him and cleaned him up and the mess he made without any fuss or negative connotations. They were complete sweethearts. Now let's get down to the food! The miso was well balanced and delicious. My son drank that up. Since it was breakfast for me, I ordered light and had a Philly roll, tiger eye, some salmon sushi and they were all prepared fresh and delicious. My husband enjoyed his food as well and so did my guests that came. It was our first time here and the atmosphere and warmth of the servers and bartender was super nice and awesome. We will definitely come back.

Food is consistently good and I love that they have good sashimi options. Service is always friendly.

Quality is 5 stars super fresh and well made. Great place for slow relaxing dinner in great ambiance with very kind servers. Everything is made fresh and when they fill up it might take a bit longer than you may be used to. Our dinner went about 2 hours. Be ready to spend up about $75/pp for 2 adults and 2 kids. Think omakase.

Pink Lady Roll - tempura shrimp - snow crab - avocado topped with eel sauce and tempura

Diverse menu complimented with personalized service. Owner, Faye, knows her regulars by their name and even their order. My wife loves the amazing options Faye offers with her Poke bowls. I love her signature rolls and have almost tried them all. If you haven't come here yet, please go say hello to Faye and tell her Mike sent you! ENJOY!

My second time eating here, the rolls were delicious, service was great, and the environment was peaceful and quiet

Clean and very friendly staff. Food selection is great on variety. Waiting to taste the food!

The food was decent but large portion. However it was bland lacking flavor. Great service

Very Fresh Very Fast and good service, All the classics and just what you would expect. While nothing stands out as amazing there was also nothing to complain about. Its in the center of a strip center but that you would not expect it to be in especially for the quality. Also they have good lunch combo options.

I absolutely love this small restaurant. It's tucked away near Katy Mills Mall. The owner is welcoming and a delight. I'm a firm believer in supporting small, independently owned businesses. This restaurant is one we typically frequent because of the hospitable vibe and wonderfully prepared food. Tables and seating are always clean. Our daughter enjoys a nice bowl of spicy miso tonkatsu ramen and the flavor is definitely on point. Nibbles like the gyoza, harumaki and the green bean sushi are fantastic. Food is always freshly made and seasoned nicely. The miso soup is delightful on a cold day. You can't go wrong with the fried rice, udon or hibachi noodles. We've also tried a few of the bento box dinners, chicken Katsu, vegetable tempura as well as the sashimi. If your a fan of Sapporo, they've got tallboys! This is an excellent place to dine in. Or even grab some take out. You won't be disappointed in the food.

My boyfriend and I wanted to…read moretry a different ramen spot from our usual ones, so we decided to check out Kizuki in Katy. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, and the servers are friendly and helpful. We stopped by for an early dinner on a Saturday evening, so the restaurant wasn't yet busy when we got there but started to fill up as we ate. There are so many different ramen options and toppings to choose from. You can choose to get the low sodium option for all the ramen if you prefer, and they also have free unsalted ramen broth refill. They also have other dishes besides ramen, and you can also customize any existing dishes with other toppings as you'd like. I got the Garlic Tonkotsu Shoyu ramen with spinach and corn, and my boyfriend got the Spicy Ramen. Both broths were so rich and flavorful. They were both slightly salty, so we also got the clear broth refill which made them just right. The ramen had a perfect chew, and the toppings were flavorful and delicious. I usually don't like bamboo toppings in ramen because of the ammonia smell, but I tried some bamboo from the Spicy Ramen that my boyfriend got, and it had no strong bamboo smells at all. I was so impressed. I also ordered the Japanese curry with chicken kaarage to-go, and they were also really tasty. I will definitely be back to Kizuki for more in the future.

I was so hungry I forgot to get a photo of the initial presentation, but the noodles were perfect and the broth was tasty. Other than that, it was pretty lackluster: the soft-boiled egg was hard and one of the grossest eggs I've had, and the chashu was cold. We also ordered some chicken karaage, but that never showed, and our waiter was too busy to stop by so I could tell him. I'm not familiar with the ramen scene in Houston, but Kizuki was a huge letdown, especially with their roots to Japan. ご馳走様でした

The selection is a bit more limited for lunch, but the price is lower than dinner as well. Being AYCE, I wouldn't expect the highest quality, type, and cut of fish, but what they had was pretty solid, tasted fresh, and was delicious. A minor complaint would be they had no sashimi option, even for the tamago which I personally believe is eaten best without rice, but that's just minor stuff considering the good value here. As much as I try to find a reason not to give this place an outstanding rating, if I compare it to the AYCE category of restaurants, it did everything right. They do have a regular a la carte menu, with a selection that looks like a treat in itself. As for me, I highly enjoyed their jalapeno bomb to start. I highly doubt they used snow crab, tasted like imitation crab, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and got another order at the end. I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. I wish I had the stomach space to try out new stuff, but maybe next time. Wish someone would post a photo of the salmon skin salad, because I'm a bit curious about that!

It would be worth trying if we were hungry and had a huge appetite. Hubby and I shared the tempura udon, the hamachi collar bento box, and he got some sashimi while I got the tamago and blue crab nigiri. The portions were big and generous and also reasonably priced. I like the udon a lot even though the broth was a bit sweet for me. The tempura was delicious and perfectly fried. The hamachi collar was a large portion but a bit dry. We're used to having hamachi collar that is more buttery than what we had at twenty five. The sushi was ok too. Wasn't the best we've had but we expected that so we weren't let down by the sushi. Overall the staff was very nice and attentive despite being busy. The restaurant was clean as well. I do enjoy the large parking lot they share with surrounding businesses.

Everyone we interacted with was friendly, attentive, and knowledgeable. They made us feel welcome from the moment we arrived and were happy to offer recommendations throughout the meal. Great service can elevate a dining experience, and this team absolutely delivered. Now for the sushi, and wow! You can tell there's real craftsmanship behind every roll that comes out of the kitchen. Each roll was beautifully presented, packed with fresh ingredients, and thoughtfully balanced in flavor. Too often sushi restaurants focus on appearance or oversized specialty rolls, but here the flavors were just as impressive as the presentation. Every bite felt intentional, with textures and ingredients working together perfectly. One unexpected highlight of the evening was trying rice beer for the first time. I'll admit I wasn't sure what to expect, but it ended up being one of my favorite discoveries of the night. It was crisp, refreshing, and paired exceptionally well with the sushi. I can definitely see why it's so popular, and it won't be my last time ordering it. Between the elegant atmosphere, exceptional service, expertly crafted sushi, and discovering a new favorite beverage, this was an outstanding dining experience from start to finish. Restaurants like this remind you that dining out isn't just about the food, it's about the entire experience. I will tell you, however, that by the end of the meal, I was not just surprised by how absolutely wonderful this restaurant was, but I was highly impressed by how wonderful the sushi was how absolutely on point the service was and frankly as you walk in, you will be impressed by the ambience. Let's just talk about the sushi for a minute. The portions are extremely generous and all of it is wonderfully fresh and a great pleasure. I believe I had more than half of the sushi menu on an " all you can eat" Offer, which is, given the quality of sushi, the best deal that I have had in the city of Houston. The waitress was absolutely wonderful, extremely service oriented, and just a pleasure to deal with making recommendations and giving insights since she is a sushi eater herself. I would not recommend the old-fashion bourbon as I suspect everything is done by specific formula and I varied their formula. Next time I go, I will follow their formula and see whether it's a different result. But what a pleasant service experience. The ambience is lovely. it's very large and because I suspect it is relatively knew it was by no means fall although frankly, we went at an odd hour about 4 PM on a Sunday afternoon and so that might explain the lack of patrons. I will say, however, it is so large that there may have been as many as 50 people there but because it is so large, it is difficult to gauge based on much more restricted spaces that I have been in while eating sushi. This is truly not a place to be missed. There is not any exotic sushi, but anything that is on the menu is really quite good, the service is absolutely wonderful and the cost is incredibly good. I would highly recommend it.

The staff/service side was…read moreactually really good -- our waiter was attentive, polite, and genuinely apologetic throughout the night, so I do want to give credit where it's due because he handled everything professionally. That said, there were a few frustrating things. First, they advertise themselves as a hibachi place, but they really don't have the sauces or flavor options you'd normally expect from a true hibachi restaurant for the rice, noodles, or chicken. It felt more limited than expected. Another issue was the bar selection. I tried ordering a Belvedere martini, and they didn't have Belvedere or really any top-shelf vodka/liquor options available. The highest-end vodka they had was Absolut. Normally that might not matter to some people, but I personally get really bad hangovers from lower-quality liquor, so I specifically try to order cleaner/top-shelf brands when I go out. Lastly, if you're coming with a large party (we had over 10 people), be prepared for delays with payment. They weren't able to split checks quickly, and it ended up taking around 30 minutes to sort everything out while we were already in a time crunch. Overall, the service staff did their best and were kind, but management/operations and menu offerings definitely need improvement.

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.
