Great spot to take visitors or a group of foodies! The best thing is the sit down buffet style. You still get a dine in experience but plenty of options to try and choose from. No need to try and convince others on the fried rice or apps you want because they all come in small portions so you can each get what you want. So many rolls to choose from even if you stick to the lunch menu. DONT SKIP THE SALMON AND BEEF TERIYAKI or shrimp dumplings.

Came here on a Wednesday for lunch and was seated immediately. It was $44 for 2 of us which is pretty good for all you can eat. We ordered a variety of nigiri, 2 rolls, miso soup, and a few kinds of tempura. I also loved the sushi pizza. I'd recommend the nigiri since it's less filling than a whole roll. Everything was delicious! Pretty good fish quality for all u can eat. We finished with some matcha ice cream. Service was great and food didn't take too long to come out. Def a good spot if u want affordable all you can eat

Was wanting some sushi and also wanted to try a place I haven't been to. Enter @sushi9katytx. This place is an AYCE spot, which makes it even better. This place has a great ambiance and quick service. we ordered everything from Miso Soup, Crab Puffs, Teriyaki Salmon, Ice Cream, and multiple Sushi Rolls. overall, this is a great spot, with a great selection of items.

Be careful they give you the correct menu or at least identify it.

Called the restaurant ahead of time, they informed me the Lunch AYCE(All you can eat) was $24.99. After arriving @1pm and being sat they handed me the menu and it appeared different so I asked is this the all you can eat menu? She said yes and I was excited because they had a bunch of different items which appeared to be way more than what they used to offer. The wait time was horrible, 34 minutes after ordering I was still waiting for my first order of sashimi. My lunch arrived very slow but was good, not great but good. When the check arrived it was $36.99, i informed them that I had called and they had informed me the AYCE menu was $24.99. She informed me that I had order sashimi which is only a dinner item. I told her this is the menu they gave me. I asked for the manager and she informed me she was the manager. I explained the situation again, she offered to give me a 10% discount. I let her know that was bad business to charge $12 more when they had clearly given me the wrong menu. While she left she attended to a different table and informed them that dinner started at 3pm? As she passed I asked her about her informing the other table that dinner started at 3pm? She said she had not when I just heard her two tables away. So not only are they practicing bad business practices she's an out and out liar. Spend your money elsewhere.

Sushi 9 is an absolute gem to not skip! Our favorite waiter Jaden always goes above and beyond, making every visit feel so VIPl. And the food? No words...just amazing! Every bite is fresh, flavorful, and perfect. Hands down the best sushi AYCE spot in Katy.

The food at Sushi 9 is great. Granted, this is coming from someone who has never eaten very high end sushi. However, the effort put into the dishes at sushi 9 is great. The sushi rolls or pieces never look messy or sloppy, they look like they were actually made carefully. The servers are very attentive and kind, nothing bad to say and they are quick to service you. The environment is a little more quiet than I'm used to at sushi restaurants, but that is a good thing as it's enjoyable to dine in a place like this with friends and be able to hear each other. It's a far drive, but always enjoyable when I come visit. I have nothing bad to say.

Great food and great ambiance! Was able to catch up with former coworkers around linner time and we had a blast! Staff was friendly and service was quick! 10/10 perfect for any special event you may have and perfectly soothed that sushi craving.

Bucking brono and sushi 9 roll

I ordered the sushi 9 roll and the bucking brono, and everything was fresh and delicious. They have a special going on right now on their specialty sushi where it is buy one get one free. I ended up paying $23 for both, which is pretty reasonable compared to other sushi spots I've tried in Katy. I highly recommend it!!

    Unlimited Sashimi yes pleaseee!!

For the price and quality 5 awesome stars! I have never had a bad experience here!! I always do the "all you can eat" as its worth it if you like sushi and sashimi. Servers are consistent with checking up on you to receive food orders. Parking is spacious so I never have to struggle to find parking. Food is great!! I come here for the sashimi cause I looove sashimi. For under $30 with all you can eat is a killer deal. Also there is desert at the end, you can pick your ice cream flavor and thats good too! Basically if you are hungry and want quality sushi for the price this place is reliable.

I convinced my friend to try a new place for sushi, other than our usual spot in Katy. Stopped in around 5PM on a Friday night, and they were just starting to get a bit of a dinner crowd. The concept is nice and easy. Pay $29.99/per person ($17.99 weekday lunch, $22.99 weekend lunch) and order whatever, and as much as you want, of any menu items. I loved the Flying Egg Salad (I ate two!). In addition to assorted maki/hand rolls, we ordered some tempura, edamame, miso soup, and the very tasty Shrimp Stir-Fry Udon Noodles. The service was friendly. And the product items quickly while clearing empty plates. Definitely a nice spot. This isn't high-end like Sushi Ra, but it's a great alternative to Kura Sushi or Sushi Sakura -- with many more options. We didn't have room for ice cream though! My friend and I said the next time we come back we should bring a few more people because it would be fun to share some other dishes.

It's been quite since I visited Sushi 9, and I was surprised by the many changes they've made. The space has been refreshed, looking cozier and more elegant. Despite being busy, the food is served very quickly, and the staff are enthusiastic and always smiling at customers. The sushi and sashimi are prepared fresh and beautifully presented.

    Seaweed Salad
    Lewis H.

The miso soup was pretty bad, the seaweed salad was soupy and overly sweet, the wasabi was fake, the ginger was old and unrefrigerated, the tempura was premade so it was soggy and stale. Most importantly though, the rice was overseasoned (too much vinegar and sugar). Its a shame, because the fish was actually good quality. This place could be great, but they need a new chef. Good service, nice atmosphere, bad food.

What is the lunch hours & price for AYCE during weekdays?

Lunch is before 3PM and price should be 17.99 per person

    All you can eat?

Yes, but don't go during peak hours. Service is much better during an early weekday lunch.

Do you get charged is you don't finish your order?

    Yes

For the ACYC are all the rolls with seaweed? Or can it come with soy paper?

Why would you want sushi rolls without nori?? The sashimi comes without wrapping.

How much do they charge for kids?

They charged us $10 for my 9 yr old and $6 for my 6 yr old.. They do not have any real kid friendly foods. They have a tiny plate with 3 nuggets at a time and a small plate of french fries. My kids will also eat teriyaki but theirs wasn't very good… Read more

What time would be the lunch specials?

    From opening until 1 or 2 I believe .

Does anyone have pics of the AYCE sushi menu along with price? I can't distinguish some of the blurry pics between dinner and lunch menu.

If you go to photos> menu>, Kim T lists the dinner menu. There's 2 pages. The price for dinner is $24.99 per person. I think lunch is like $14.99

It doesn't bother me that it's semi-dimmed and small. The food made up for it even though my back was to the main entrance door. Good parking spaces. There was a waitlist but we didn't wait for over 30 minutes. Best bang for your buck AYCE sushi at $29.99/person and their menu is THICK. Even for someone who is used to sushi, it was overwhelming at first. The tablet made it easier to order without feeling so needy to the already-so-busy servers. Cheaper at lunch time but menu has less options, mainly no sashimi and only ice-cream as desserts. My favorites are chicken karaage, kanpachi sashimi, yellowtail sashimi, salmon sashimi, Cajun albacore sashimi, spider roll, Starbucks roll, baked green mussels, and their mochi (I got strawberry and mango). I got a lot more but those are my favorite and highly recommend for you to try. Final destination sushi rolls are majority of the people's favorite, including my server's. Eel sashimi is on a grill, which was surprising and good. Wasabi was lacking the spice and I'm not a fan of pink ginger but it's an AYCE so not complaining. What I do suggest you to do is to stay away from hot cheesecake and ice cream tempura. Unfortunately, they most likely use the same batter batch with their meats/seafood and they fry it with their seafood/meat oil so all you taste is mainly seafood, which is quite disgusting when you want your desserts to be desserts. I love seafood but that was gross. I still ate the insides. Overall, a solid restaurant for AYCE sushi. I like that the majority of their sushi rolls are half and they don't kill you with so much rice. Plus, you have an option to not get AYCE if you're not too hungry.

Our table was stable, but because of the angle from the windows, the light kind of blinded one of our friends in the face. I would recommend stronger blinds for the front. The selection is a bit more limited for lunch, but the price is lower than dinner as well. Being AYCE, I wouldn't expect the highest quality, type, and cut of fish, but what they had was pretty solid, tasted fresh, and was delicious. A minor complaint would be they had no sashimi option, even for the tamago which I personally believe is eaten best without rice, but that's just minor stuff considering the good value here. As much as I try to find a reason not to give this place an outstanding rating, if I compare it to the AYCE category of restaurants, it did everything right. They do have a regular a la carte menu, with a selection that looks like a treat in itself. As for me, I highly enjoyed their jalapeno bomb to start. I highly doubt they used snow crab, tasted like imitation crab, but I enjoyed it nevertheless and got another order at the end. I tried a few nigiri while I was here, with eel being my favorite (and thank goodness for no bones, which was lucky because it's eel). Their tacos were an unexpected standout and is worth a bite or two. Using sheets of nori and frying it to it holds up like a shell is pretty genius and more places need to do this. I had a good time with their Burning Alaska signature maki, which has salmon as the main star. The smokiness from torching was a killer! Their curry reminded me of S&B, which might very well be the mix they used. I was a bit disappointed to not see fish katsu as an option considered it's a sushi place, but I can see the katsu curry selection being a good option as a comfort dish. I wish I had the stomach space to try out new stuff, but maybe next time. Wish someone would post a photo of the salmon skin salad, because I'm a bit curious about that!
