I purchased two orders of avocado rolls. The rice was not cooked properly and too hard, the wasabi was dried out and a little too hard, half of the avocado pieces were brown. It was mostly a big ball of hard rice with a small piece of overripe avocado in the middle, I ate one order because I was famished and then asked myself "Why am I eating this terrible food?" I went up to the counter to tell them about the food, and after the clerk spoke with the owner, I was told the order was fulfilled and nothing would be done to address my complaint. Horrible customer service. Horrible food. Now I'm looking for someplace else to eat after I left behind my second order uneaten and regretting that I actually ate the couple pieces that I did. Fuji Teriyaki is located a block away from Lincoln Road Mall which makes it a convenient location if you are walking around the area. This is a small take out style restaurant that has great prices, especially for the location. The options available range from sushi to vegetarian, chicken, and beef options. We ordered the Mega and Lady Finger rolls which were both pretty good. I enjoyed the cali roll a little more so next time I think I will order that. The lady that works at the register was super nice and helpful. She was cleaning every table when we walked in since it was towards the beginning of the virus outbreak but before social distancing. Been ordering here for what id say awhile now the first time I ate at this restaurant the sushi nigiri combo was good and it was a ok portion for the price that it is and also the hibachi beef but as time has gone on the rice has become hard the fish tastes dry the sushi sizes has gotten smaller and the hibachi beef the meat amount has decreased. I noticed how timely the orders were coming out and the plate sizes were more than I could image for the price (much of the menu was under $10). I ordered a small teriyaki chicken plate, and IT WAS THE BEST GAMBLE I took on a tourist spot in South Beach. I only had limited time and it came out in 5 minutes with a hefty size plate (included rice and a side of sautéed veggies) for $5.99 and for a couple dollars more you can add shrimp and beef.
