Fukumi is one of our favorite ramen spots in the Sacramento area , and I was excited to see one opening up in Natomas. Their ramen has such rich, flavorful broth, and one of the things that really stands out is the pork. The slices are nice and thick, tender, and much more substantial than what you get at a lot of other ramen places. Their karaage is also excellent. It's crispy, juicy, and definitely worth adding to your order. One tip: I really recommend asking for the thick noodles if your bowl doesn't already come with them. They have a great texture and hold up really well with the rich broth. This was my first time trying Fukumi Ramen (Japanese Noodle House) in Natomas and it was good. I've been to their Roseville location and a few of their other restaurants and the ramen experiences were similar. We came on a Sunday evening and there was no wait for a table. They have small tables so it's best to come with a smaller party. We ordered the Fukumi Ramen and Tonkotsu Soy Ramen. The Fukumi Ramen came with tonkotsu broth with black garlic oil. The broth itself tasted good but not explosive in flavor. I think it could use more flavor. I liked that it came with three pieces of pork chaushu, as well as a seasoned egg. The noodles were thin and soft in texture. Overall, it was a good ramen bowl, but the broth could be a little richer. The service was pretty good and the ramen came out in reasonable time. Tried Fukumi Ramen in Natomas for the first time and went with the tonkotsu ramen. Really glad I did. The broth was the star for me, it was creamy, rich, and full of flavor. It had that nice savory taste that makes you want to keep drinking the broth even when you are full. The noodles had a good bite and went really well with the soup and toppings. I also liked the vibe of the place. It was clean, comfortable, and relaxed, and the staff were friendly. Nothing overly fancy, just a nice spot to sit down and enjoy a good bowl of ramen. Recently came in for the Limited Time Ice Cream Ramen and to get a stamp on my Fukumi Restaurant Group Dine-around Passport (good at any ITS SUSHI, Pier 50, Fukumi Ramen, and Young's Teriyaki location) through September 2026. Fukumi can be found in Natomas, Roseville, Citrus Heights, and Folsom. For $20, this had thick noodles, miso broth base, red chili oil, spicy soboro ground pork, pork belly chashu, bean sprouts, bok choy, seasoned egg, sesame and green onion...and a vanilla Hokkaido milk ice cream cone (Orange brand?). Extra noodles and/or rice included. Also, they were doing a Summer Beer Promo deal from July 1st through September 30th where with purchase of any full-sized ramen or regular sized rice bowl, you can get half (50%) off an Asahi Super Dry draft beer which comes out to $4! "This trendy Japanese-inspired creation blends creamy Hokkaido milk ice cream with rich tantan ramen for a unique sweet-and-savory experience. As the ice cream melts, it gives the broth a rich, milky finish that balances the heat and adds buttery depth." I really liked it! The milky sweet soft serve (imported from Hokkaido) was good quality, made the spicy chili miso broth creamy and was a nice balance. You could also probably just take a bite of the ice cream with each spoonful of ramen instead, but I plopped the entire cone in the soup to melt it. When I ran out of noodles, I dumped the bowl of rice directly into the ice cream broth. The only thing of course was that the cone (cake cup) was soft but that's understandable as a frozen item. We were immediately seated to our table. The restaurant had only a few customers on a Friday afternoon around 12pm so we weren't sure why it took the waitress so long to come take our order. I like this location, never too busy and the staff is really friendly. It's in an unassuming location off Del paso blvd. Clean and has the same vibe as their other location clad in black walls and furniture. I ordered the Spicy Mayo Chicken rice. And yes, the flavor is here! I found the broth of the tonkatsu ramen to be very flavorful. It has a nice saltiness to it that really elevates the meal. By far my favorite part of the ramen experience was the pork that it came with. I typically am happy with the portion that it comes with originally, but the next time I come I'd highly consider ordering an extra piece. The pork has a sweetness to it that really balances out the saltiness well. My only small gripe with Fukumi ramen is the ramen noodles themselves. This is purely a personal preference, but I found the noodles here to be a bit thinner than I would like. I personally love a bit of chew to my ramen and these were very delicate. There is a thick noodle option as well, so maybe I'll have to see what that is all about. On the side I tried their chicken karaage which was done excellently. My first visit to this location was when they were offering their half-price Midori Ramen special for St. Patrick's Day. On my second visit, I tried the Gyudon Rice Bowl. Midori Ramen is one of my favorites, and this location definitely lived up to my expectations. I went here for Sunday lunch and we were able to walk in as a party of 5 around opening. Note it is small so there can be a wait if you go later in the day. I tried the karaage, agedashi tofu, and the Fukumi ramen. I would not really recommend the appetizers as they're a bit pricy for the amount you get - like $11 for karaage is a bit steep when it's just okay quality. Same for the agedashi tofu - it's only 4 pieces, and decent quality. The Fukumi ramen is good. It has a decent amount of flavor that quickly drowns out as you eat the ramen. The noodles could be a bit firmer, but I appreciate that you can get extra noodles and rice for free to fill you up, so the extra noodles filled to the bottom of the bowl which is a lot. With extra noodles, it's about 1.5x portion of a typical ramen bowl. I guess this is an example of quantity over quality. There is a generous amount of chashu - some of the bowls are 1 piece but for a bit more, this Fukumi ramen order comes with 3 pieces. Service is excellent - they fill waters quickly and check up on us regularly and fulfill our requests quickly. Overall, 5 stars for service but 3 stars on the food. read more

Today (7/7) at 1:00 PM went to Fukimi Ramen with a friend, and this was my first visit. I was immediately pleased to see this restaurant provides table service. We were kindly greeted and seated. The aroma in this place is simply tantiizing! I have never been to a ramen restaurant and was so excited because at this point I could tell it was going to be amazing. Our female server was so incredibly kind and very helpful on food choices as my lunch date had questions and this was my first visit. He ordered a vegetarian ramen dish and I ordered a rice bowl and a side of dumplings. Our drinks arrived quickly and the food shortly thereafter. Wow! Absolutely delicious!! The spicy pork and rice bowl was incredibly good, and I ate every single dumpling. Our server came back several times to check on us and provided excellent customer service. During our meal, my napkin on my lap blew down to the floor and a male server spotted what happened and immediately handed me a fresh napkin without me having to ask. My friends and I came here for lunch on a Sunday. There was a wait. It was our first time so we did not know the procedure. We walked in and there was no host in the front. No one greeted us. We stood there for a couple of minutes then I noticed there was a tiny sign saying to put your name on the waitlist. It would be helpful if the sign is bigger. This is one of my favorite Ramen spots to stop by when I am in the Natomas area or on the way to the airport Sacramento. . They have really amazing pork broth with really nice Ramen. The pork broth was really rich and I love their noodles which was on the thin ramen noodles they also have a thick one that you can choose and also request but the one that comes with it is actually the thin ramen noodle. I love the barbecue pork inside which was chargrilled to Perfection and it was very tender and melts in your mouth. Also it comes with a really nice soft boiled egg too. . One of the really unique Ramen that I tried from here is their green pesto basil mixed with pork broth Ramen. If you love pesto and you love a rich pork broth this is the one to get for sure. I also added some bok choy and corn inside because I love it with my Ramen. . The Ambiance here is your typical Ramen House which is a really cozy spot with friendly family environment or just eating alone. The music in here is not too loud and it's great for catching up. The service is friendly and attentive and always checking up on your needs. . We came here with my visiting parents. It seems this chain is quite popular. I see it is probably due to their 72 hour broth. We waited about 30 minutes since they only have 10 tables. This was the former Dickey's bbq spot that was pretty crappy. Our waiter gave great service. 3 of us got the Fukumi ramen and 2 got the miso ramen. They all come with extra noodles (albeit already included in the higher pricing for ramen than average). The broth I must say, was one of the richest tasting ramen broth I ever tasted!!! Amazing! The noodles had a great al dente chew. The egg was perfect and soft. Only complaint is the size of the bowl was smaller than most other ramen places. I would definitely come here than Koshi. Our go to is Ryujin in downtown. But even with the small size of the bowls the quality is great. Got the chance to try the newly Fukumi Ramen on their opening day in Natomas. They have their other locations in Roseville as well as Citrus Heights. It's a fairly small restaurant with seating very close to each other tables. My family and I ordered ramen bowls for each of us, a Curry Rice Bowl, and Chicken Karaage & Takoyaki for appetizers. They have 13 different ramens to choose from, 7 choices with their Tonkatsu, 3 with their Tori-Paitan, and 2 with their Abura Soba. I was very interested in their Kara-Miso ramen which looks like their spiciest flavor indicated by 2 fire signs while others just have 1. If you like spicy soups then that one is definitely for you. The broth was rich and creamy and for me it was perfect. Everything we ate was packed with flavor. I always recommend anyone who orders chicken karaage to squeeze lemon on top of the chicken for the best flavor. Each full-sized ramen bowl comes with free extra noodles and rice which is very generous and will get you full, also keep in mind that the extra noodles will be added into the bowl and there is no option to get it on the side (from what we were told). We had a late night flight out of Sac tonight so we wanted to eat somewhere closer to the airport. We've been to the location in Folsom before and Ramen sounded good so we wanted to give this one a try. The biggest gripe about when we first walked in was that the area feels very small, but luckily we didn't have to wait very long and the staff was very welcoming. We got seated and got our food within just a few minutes of ordering- I had the tonkatsu miso ramen (extra pork and egg of course), and my wife had the garlic chicken and we shared some gyoza. Her chicken was super good and juicy, sweet and a little bit of salty, overall a great small dish. The gyoza honestly was a bit underwhelming- the texture was ok but something seemed a little off with the filling, wasn't terrible but wasn't great. Lastly for my ramen, the broth was great, noodles were great, the pork had a light char but just melted in your mouth it was so good, and lastly the eggs were perfectly marinated and jammy- not over hard boiled. We came here on a cold raining day perfect for ramen. There was about a 15min wait sine it was a perfect day for hot steaming bowl of noodles. The front of the resturant had a cool looking board that changes the writing on the board probably every 5 min. That's was pretty cool to keep watching. The food came out pretty quick considering how packed it was. The ramen dish we order was delicious with the right amount of flavor. The warm broth tasted really good. There was a right around a amount of noodles and the noodles was a great picture. It was kinda chewy but not too soft. Would love to come back for ramen here. read more

I'm so happy we have this ramen place close to home. Went here with brother and sister on a cold day and we got chicken kara age for appetizer and that was so good. For myself and first time trying this place, got the Fukumi Ramen. We all got extra order of noodles which is free when you dine in. We always find not enough noodles for the rich broth. Yes, the broth was so rich. Enjoyed the bowl of goodness though. The service was very efficient and appreciated. The space is small. It was the old Dickey's BBQ. It was clean. Will try the lighter broth of chicken I assume. We will see and give an update. Thank you. read more
