Unagi nigiri, tako nigiri, inari nigiri

First tried this place last year and it was a good experience. Tried again on a Tuesday and another time on a Monday. Sushi Tuesday I got the spicy assorted sashimi, pacific sunrise, sunomono, caterpillar roll, spider roll, unagi, tako, inari nigiri, and miso soup. A different day on a Monday I got the spicy assorted sashimi again, wakame, hamachi carpaccio, hamachi, kani, tamago nigiri, rainbow roll, and dragon roll. I preferred the food and service on Tuesday than the Monday visit. There were a lot of people on the Tuesday visit but service was really great. The lady who helped me was really efficient and keeping checking on you. I was the only one on Monday visit but the lady who helped me seldom checked on you. I feel like food was not so fresh on Monday visit. What I liked: spicy assorted sashimi and liked it mixed with sunomono compared to mixing it with wakame, spider roll, unagi nigiri, rainbow roll, dragon roll Okay: pacific sunrise, I liked this but will get the sauce on the side next time, the sauce has an odd taste for me, caterpillar roll, inari nigiri, kani nigiri Not so much: hamachi carpaccio, hamachi nigiri, fish not so fresh, tako nigiri, tamago nigiri [[HIGHLIGHT]]Place is spacious and clean.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Will come back to try more. Thank you.

Time/Day: 12pm, Friday Afternoon Dinner price charged all day on Friday. They were super attentive and friendly. The fish was fresh and the menu has creative flavors especially the pacific sunrise. It wasn't traditional Japanese sushi but it was delicious! There is no limit to what you can order each round, but the rolls are decent size. Favorites: Pacific Sunrise, Hamachi Carpaccio, and Unagi

First thing I must mention is that Azukar was my first experience with fresh-made sushi. This trip is what impacted my opinions regarding sushi. [[HIGHLIGHT]]Right as you walk in, you are greeted by a quaint, quiet, and calm atmosphere.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Keep in mind, this might differ depending on the day you come in and how busy it is. You are greeted by the sweetest lady, who leads you to your seat and takes your orders. My personal experience with the sushi selection is top notch. They range from nigiri to rolls to tempura, and many others. The quality of the food is great, and feels and tastes fresh. The all you can eat is the best bang for your buck, as you are able to try as many pieces as you wish. My personal recommendation is to get salmon nigiri, followed by the albacore tuna, as well as the lion king roll. And to end the night off, get yourself a green tea ice cream. These four were my most memorable dishes there. As you head out, please show the chef your appreciation and say thank you. He is the goat. Overall, I would definitely recommend Azukar for anyone, especially as a first-time experience with real sushi.

Unbeatable price for good quality sushi. The waitress was very friendly and down to earth, and extremely honest with the no leftover rule. The waitress was friendly and eager to serve us sushi. Water was refilled in a timely fashion. The only twist to this cafe is, unlike a buffet style, it is an "order as you go". We went in as the first customer and ate quite a bit.

Best easy go to place in Sacramento for all you can eat sushi! Great service and yummy creative dishes.

Casual spot with great sushi in the south Natomas area! I had the Arizona and Sacramento rolls--both fresh and flavorful, and the Sacramento was one of the best deep-fried rolls I've tried. Edamame and potstickers I order for appetizers, edamame was in a sweet/spicy sauce. [[HIGHLIGHT]]There was a strong seafood smell when I first walked in, but the food more than made up for it.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Worth checking out!

Food: $23 FOR ALL YOU CAN EAT SUSHI FOR LUNCH!! Nowadays sushi all you can eat cost more than that so it's a really good deal! I came on a weekday for lunch, so it was served fast and fresh! I really like how theres many choices of sushi and sides we can get! Service/Ambiance: The waitress was welcoming and check up on us if we had more to order or needed more water. I will say that when we ordered a lot, she gave us a warning "No wasting food or you have to pay extra". But I didn't take it as bad way bc we did order a lot and ended up having to eat SOO MUCHH. At least I'm stuffed. Overall: If I'm ever looking for sushi buffet in Sacramento I'll come here!!

[[HIGHLIGHT]]Ambiance: 12 square tables that seat up to 4 guests spread out; family-friendly with high chairs; quiet but a little dated decor; clean and simple[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] Service: AYCE dishes are made to order; quick turnaround of orders (less than 5 minutes wait); servers are attentive and friendly; family-owned and family-oriented place Food: large portions and flavorful; nigiri (2 pieces per order); rolls (5 pieces per order - just enough to tease your taste buds but not fill you up). Lots of choices! Unlimited order. Sushi rolls seemed larger than rolls from other restaurants. They also have Mango and Green Tea ice cream for dessert. I do wish sashimi weren't cubed.

Got the teriyaki chicken with rice and this was a bit below decent. The chicken is dry and overall, does not have a lot of flavor. I did not finish it, but may try to to not waste food. The gyoza was decent, but the cucumbers were amazing. They're pickled and if I had it alone, this would be 4-5 stars.

This review is overdue. I visited Azukar Sushi on Wednesday, 9/27/23, during lunchtime. I was very excited to try this AYCE sushi restaurant. In my visit, I ordered the following: *Miso Soup *California Roll *Spicy Tuna Roll *Rainbow Roll *Sunflower Roll *Sake (Salmon) Nigiri *Ebi (Shrimp) Nigiri *Unagi (Eel) Nigiri All of the sushi rolls were super good and fresh. I even enjoyed the miso soup a lot. The service was quick, nice, and attentive. I left the restaurant feeling extremely full and satisfied. Overall, Azukar Sushi is a fantastic AYCE sushi restaurant. I recommend coming here.

This is THE BEST all you can eat sushi in Sacramento hands down. The menu variety is *chef's kiss, the cuts on the nigiri are out of this world for AYCE, and the service is top notch and incredibly fast. We've tried literally every all you can eat sushi spot in Sacramento and I'm not kidding you, this place holds the throne. Just look at this picture! That was round one of nigiri [[HIGHLIGHT]]Anyhow, the only downside is that this place is in the sketchiest strip mall ever.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]] [[HIGHLIGHT]]I promise you though it's worth it, just brave the danger.[[ENDHIGHLIGHT]]

At $23 for lunch, I wasn't expecting as much as if I paid 30 or 40. The service was great, the fish was fresh, selection was limited.

For $20, this had thick noodles, miso broth base, red chili oil, spicy soboro ground pork, pork belly chashu, bean sprouts, bok choy, seasoned egg, sesame and green onion...and a vanilla Hokkaido milk ice cream cone (Orange brand?). Extra noodles and/or rice included. Also, they were doing a Summer Beer Promo deal from July 1st through September 30th where with purchase of any full-sized ramen or regular sized rice bowl, you can get half (50%) off an Asahi Super Dry draft beer which comes out to $4! "This trendy Japanese-inspired creation blends creamy Hokkaido milk ice cream with rich tantan ramen for a unique sweet-and-savory experience. As the ice cream melts, it gives the broth a rich, milky finish that balances the heat and adds buttery depth." I really liked it! The milky sweet soft serve (imported from Hokkaido) was good quality, made the spicy chili miso broth creamy and was a nice balance. You could also probably just take a bite of the ice cream with each spoonful of ramen instead, but I plopped the entire cone in the soup to melt it. When I ran out of noodles, I dumped the bowl of rice directly into the ice cream broth. The only thing of course was that the cone (cake cup) was soft but that's understandable as a frozen item. The ice cream ramen lives up to the hype and I wholly recommend! P.S. If you're only interested in the Hokkaido Ice Cream by itself, it is $3.

It's clean and modern inside, with a nice open feel despite having a pretty large capacity for the size! We got the spicy garlic edamame to start, which was nice and flavorful with the edamame not being overcooked or mushy - this was a really generous portion and perfect for sharing. One of my friends shared the mystery box ($60) and an order of the ocean trout and scallop nigiri which come 2 pieces to the order. All of the fish was fresh, generously portioned, and beautifully presented. My favorites are probably the ocean trout, the scallop, and the salmon. The mystery box with the edamame as n appetizer and 2 nigiri was definitely enough food, but since everything was so fresh and tasty we also got a superstar roll ($22) to share between the 3 of us -bthis was also super tasty and nice to have as it was a bit more flavorful than the sashimi alone in the mystery box (though we really enjoyed the pickled wasabi provided with the box). I brought family in from the Bay Area to Chef Frank's, and it did not disappoint. The ambiance strikes that perfect balance--chill and casual, yet still elevated enough for a special occasion. We kicked things off with a mix of plain and spicy edamame, followed by two orders of my husband's favorite shrimp tempura and three orders of my go-to rainbow roll. Everything came out fresh and beautifully presented. A particularly special moment--my 88-year-old father made the trip to Sacramento after seven years (his first visit since my mom passed) and he truly enjoyed the beef/salmon bento box. That alone made the night meaningful. We also ordered additional specialty rolls with unagi and shrimp tempura for the non-celiac guests, and for our main event, the table indulged in three large sashimi platters. The fish was impeccably fresh, artfully arranged over ice--this is where they consistently shine. To top it all off, the birthday girls (my sister and my nephew's girlfriend) were treated to complimentary desserts--cheesecake and panna cotta--which was such a thoughtful touch. The ladies paired the evening with glasses of Cabernet, another personal favorite. Overall, it was a memorable night filled with great food, attentive service, and special family moments. Check out the photos--we had an amazing time! Pro tip: Whether you're dining with a small group or a large party, make reservations to ensure smooth seating.

First off, Tokyo Table is kinda hidden within a neighborhood that if you didn't know about it, you can easily pass it without knowing. There's a Mexican restaurant next door, and some other businesses nearby but otherwise it's blending into the neighborhood. Upon arriving, every table was filled both their indoor, outdoor and even bar top seating, taken! Then there was a handful of people plus others in line to put their name down on the waitlist. This only means one thing: the place is good. After waiting 40 mins we were seated. Jenny was our server, she was nice and attentive. Food came out within a reasonable time. The must try appetizer I would recommend is the peso tuna. The panko battered jalapeños were such a treat. For rolls, the Broadway was perfect (see pic). For drinks I ordered the Matcha-Tini. I appreciated the bitterness of this drink, the matcha was very present that it overpowered any alcohol presence, which made it very easy to drink LOL. Would I visit Tokyo Table again? Absolutely.

We really enjoyed our experience here for a Friday lunch!…read more The restaurant is spacious, contemporary, & bright with a wall of windows that have effective shades. There are tables with chairs & bench seating. All the seating is cushioned. Art is on the wall, as well as a TV that had sports on. Mellow pop music plays in the background. We were greeted & seated as soon as we arrived. We received nice hospitality throughout our meal. Our friendly server was attentive, invited questions, checked in on us, cleared plates quickly, kept our water filled, & chatted with us. Lunch is within the timeframe for happy hour pricing for some items. Our eats-- BBQ Albacore--presented as slices versus chunks, flavorful with a nice sauce Salmon Teriyaki Bento--a lot of tasty food, every component was yummy, the salmon was a nice, thick piece that was cooked well Hot Snow White Roll--the mister really enjoyed this & said it was so close to being a perfect roll for him, but the fried jalapeños felt like they sat around & weren't freshly crisp Volcano Roll--a massive roll that was hearty & spicy, a little over sauced on some pieces, you have to finesse eating this one & negotiate it's big pieces, (personally wouldn't get again) Double Toro Roll--SO deliciously unctuous, ranks highly in my top rolls because I loves me some fatty fish, the freshness of the greens & pickled wasabi added brightness A couple of things really stood out. The dishware was beautiful & made the meal feel more special. The workers kept the place clean, tidying & organizing when they had opportunity. I would HAPPILY come back here to eat!

They…read moreoffer a great happy hour and no matter what time we've visited the experience has been consistent, friendly, and the food has been delicious. There is a designated parking lot across the street, so it's easy to grab a spot and walk over. Just be careful because the parking spots in the lot aren't well marked and it's easiest to just park neatly next to other cars. We like to sit at the bar if there's just two of us, and will grab a table when we have friends. If you want to make sure you have a table, you can make a reservation ahead of time, but we usually don't need to wait too long. Our favorites are the brussel sprouts, karaage chicken, and their nigiri. We also really enjoy the sukiyaki, it's really flavorful and perfect for cooler or rainy weather. We still need to come by for brunch, but we've heard good things. The team here is always friendly, and we've been in enough that some of them recognize us now.

I will preface this by saying I should come back and judge based off their main menu offerings,…read morehowever they offer a separate brunch menu and that is what I had for my visit at fuji sac. We orderd the loco moco and breakfast fried rice with scrambled eggs. The eggs were deliciously scrambled. The fried rice was ok. The big concern was my burger patty was really burnt. The consistency and flavor of the gravy was interesting. We were the first visitors of the day so I'd say while it eventually filled up, not sure the reason behind burned food. Also, with a full bar, bloody marys were not available. Really unfortunate for brunches. However, I understand this is mainly a sushi joint? So maybe I will need to come back for sushi sometime.
