My wife chose the sea scallops, and they were absolutely delicious: tender, flavorful, and perfectly paired with the mushrooms. I had the salmon, lightly cooked with just the right crispness on the outside while remaining tender and delicious inside. This was our first visit, but definitely not our last -- we'll be coming back. The dining room is a bit small, but the quality of the food more than makes up for it. read more

Full Circle cafe is that and more. Their menu of both beverages and food is varied and thoughtful, while their pizzas are unique and deliciously prepared. The assortment of local and locally inspired art on the walls reinforces the proximity to the beach, while the bars playful figurines let you know it's okay to smile and an otherwise serious dining institution. Went here for a girls dinner and were blown away with how great the food was. We got the Arancini as an appetizer it was sooo good we had to order another one. I got the duck and my sister got the special grouper and we couldn't pick a favorite we loved them both so much. The vibes were immaculate. Our server Janie was so sweet and attentive. There are few restaurants in Morehead that have the level of quaint and cozy ambiance *and* delicious food that Full Circle has. It's one of our favorite restaurants in the area, and the competition has heated up in recent years. They serve a great mix of approachable yet upscale dishes. American, some Thai mixed in (dumplings, pho, pad thai), and killer wood fired pizzas. My wife and I tried the beet version of their caprese salad, which had a beautiful presentation. It was almost like a layer cake but with beets and mozzarella, surrounded by arugula, mandarin oranges, etc. We also had the dumplings, which were solid, and a cup of the vidalia onion soup. The star of the show was the pizza, though. Since we were at the bar, we got to see the wood fired oven, and the pizza came to us piping hot. Ordering a pizza without marinara can be risky, but the duxelle base on the mushroom pizza was absolutely fantastic. Since that pizza doesn't have meat by default, we added bacon, and it was so dang good. This is probably the best date night spot in the area. Cozy interior, friendly staff, cool decor. C'mon -- $4.00 for pre-dinner bread? And $2.00 if we want olive oil?? Splitting a pizza is yet another extra charge. Then there's an automatic 24% tip if you're a party of 5 or more. I don't know about you, but if a waiter/waitress is good, the most I usually tip is 20-22%. The food and the wait staff are good, but I just can't afford to go there anymore. read more

My husband and I were interested and excited to try this place. :) We stopped in after a long day of sight-seeing, so we were underdressed (but, it wasn't an issue :). Also, I would recommend making reservations, which we didn't realize. However, the host was so gracious to get a table ready for us on the back patio (which there are only two of ;). Now, for the food... OH MY GOSH! We had the edamame, and I loved that we could choose which type of salt we wanted on them (of course no salt is an option too). We also enjoyed the oysters. Our daughter had a lovely penne pasta with house made marinara sauce and grilled chicken. They don't have a kids menu, but they were happy to whip something up for her. (They also have amazing looking pizza, which is usually a go-to option for kids. ;) For dinner, my husband had the rosemary rubbed lamb- he ate every bite and said he was "mad at how good it is". Yesterday evening was an exception to that and I typically would let it go except for the unnecessary attitude from Amber, and her wait staff. My friends and I ordered the scallop appetizers. The scallops were steaming hot but the pasta & sauce bed they were on were cold. My brick oven pizza dough was raw and gummy. When asked to speak with a manager, Kaylee, our server gave us an attitude. Amber came over to our table to speak with us with also the same attitude. Our attempt to let allow them awareness so perhaps it can be addressed in the future was completely disregarded. There was no criticism on our part but if a business doesn't know, then how can they fix it? I had posted a review on their Facebook page and they have blocked me!!! Be aware that some of the portions are small--sometimes it's not clear if it's a main course or an appetizer--so ask if you're in doubt. I had the lamb chops on a bed of mash potatoes which was a daily special and it was delicious but there were only two small lollipops and it turned out it was an appetizer.
