After comparing the packaging of crab meat I purchased last night to this site I've decided to…read moreplace my review here, as the two seem to match. not sure if this is where the product comes from but they are related. I felt like making my husband a pot of crab soup, I chose Capt. Neill's over a competitor from Sam's Club because of price difference. Bad choice. the amount of shells I got in my soup made the dish unbearable to eat. every spoonful had shells. I'm angry, hurt and embarrassed. I purchased two containers and will be returning one. way too much shells.

So I have purchased the Capt Neill's Jumbo Lump Crab Meat from Costco a few times now and it is…read moregood stuff. Maybe not the best I ever had, as living in the DC area I have access to extremely fresh blue crabs. But it is darn good, and considering what Costco charges, I can get it for considerably less money than other local sources. I have used it in pasta dishes and of course in crab cakes. Never disappointed. I like the fact that it is domestic - there have been a lot of health warnings associated with crab meat from Central and South America. And what a disgrace that a Baltimore institution like Philips, who falsely proclaims that they are Maryland's Crab ambassadors - now actually sources their crab meat from Vietnam and the Philippines. Uh . . . no. Thank goodness that there are still companies like Capt Neill's who care about quality and offer their customers genuine domestic premium blue crab meat.

Moreover, it seems like a real family business, with extremely nice staff. Warren was super helpful for us (a group from the Pocosin school) and made sure everyone was happy. I'll be back next time I'm in Columbia, especially if I can get another cupcake!

I arrived in the early afternoon, planning to get a pulled pork sandwich, but I was told that they were out of many items, and that was one of them. I'm not sure that they have the full menu each day or just smoke the meats a few days a week. I went with the Chicken Que, expecting tender, slow-cooked chicken that was shredded. I got what appeared to be a grilled boneless cutlet cut into 1-inch chunks, covered in some bbq sauce. Some people might like it, but I could just manage a few bites. I looked for an image of what my sandwich was to look like, but couldn't find anything like what I was served. The fries were also disappointing, as I like crisp fries, and these were not crisp. I didn't realize when I ordered them that they were fresh-cut fries. Not everywhere is good at making those crispy. I did enjoy the little cup of cole slaw. I'm usually not a fan of coleslaw, but that was good. I was brought mac n cheese too, and once the stuff on top was removed, that was pretty good too. I'm glad others like the food, but it wasn't for me. I should have gone with a burger or pizza.
