Been with this gym for six months now. Had a decent relationship with my trainer, Bryant, until…read morestay at home orders. First, I told him I would continue paying him until I could get back in the gym. This is because I appreciate the toll it takes to own and run a business during a time such as this. He has a family and partners and I sympathize with that. For multiple reasons, I did not feel the same respect from him. My girlfriend and I made mention of the fact that her son has asthma, which puts him at a much higher risk of DEATH if he catches COVID-19. Bryant's response was short and un-remorseful. I asked him several times to help with at-home workouts, trying to get some sort of semblance of my money's worth. He did very little to help and ignored me multiple times. No checking up on me, no "hey how are your home workouts going?" "Is there anything I can do to help?" "Let me know if you need anything." Nothing. When my girlfriend, who was subbing yoga teaching as partial payment for her competition prep, told him that she was unable to teach yoga because of the stay at home orders and, again, her son has asthma and he is at higher risk, his response was "K". Absolutely no commitment to my experience as a paying customer other than "you can show up to the gym [illegally, risking your health and the health of those around you] and train." And then, when I asked for a refund for services that I WILL NOT BE RECEIVING, his response was basically "no." (Text screenshot attached). Notice we had a deal that I would help them with their social media as well. What I do for a living and charge $125 an hour to do. More than double what Bryant's time is worth. Because, I enjoy helping when I can. I advise anyone who is in the market for gyms and trainers to be very careful when making your selection as this is a small glimpse into the reality and their values and principles as business owners.

Just left him screaming for 15 minutes!!!!!! They couldn't find me because the information about where I would be working out was on his sticker, which was LOCKED IN THR BATHROOM WITH HIM!!!!! By the time I got to him, he had no idea why he was locked in a bathroom all by himself. He was SHAKING and hysterically crying, snot everywhere, and so confused and scared! I am absolutely appalled that they could do this to a 3 year old child. He had absolutely no idea what was going on. What if there had been a fire? Would they just leave my child locked in that bathroom? What if he had fallen down? Would they just leave him by himself bleeding until they found me?! I have no confidence that Apex Center can take care of children after what I just saw. I will be reporting this to the state. Absolutely negligent! I would never recommend the Kid Care here. Absolutely appalling. He has not stopped crying and has snot in his hair, and in his eyebrows from being left in that bathroom scared and alone. He was shaking and screaming with snot falling to the floor --- that's how I found my baby! No workers near the door, no one checking on my 3 year old! I am appalled and my child was traumatized. Childcare should not be offered here if this is what they do to 3 year olds. Reporting to the state.

EXTREMELY UNETHICAL BUSINESS PRACTICES!…read more I joined the gym in early 2024 and cancelled my membership in June of 2024. Apparently due to some sort of miscommunication, something went awry with my cancellation and it was either not received, not processed, or both. A YEAR AND A HALF AFTER THE FACT - in October 2025, I receive communication from a debt collector saying that I owe almost $1300 in back charges. This gym NEVER, NOT ONCE sent me any communication informing me that there was an issue with my account. I was not provided any notice whatsoever that there was a problem - no bill, no phone call, no text, no mail. Instead they just kept accruing charges FOR A YEAR AND A HALF without my knowledge and hit me with a $1300 collections bill. I was never given an opportunity to correct this beforehand, before it got out of hand. This is NOT the way a reputable business conducts themselves.

I'm really torn on this review. I enjoyed the convenience of the gym and it was rarely crowded…read more Quality and maintenance of equipment is just ok. Lots of taping over cushion cracks instead of replacing etc. And fitness equipment is definitely aging. My biggest frustration and cause for me to cancel my membership was over the most ridiculous business practice. I set up my payments with auto pay from a credit card. About a year into my membership the credit card expired and I forgot to update my card. ONE DAY after the due date I get a harassing collection call. A simple text message or email asking me to update my card would do just fine. Then I see a $25 "processing fee" on my credit card after I updated it. AC (the owner) replied that he's not charging me, but it's the billing company he outsources to and they charge when an account goes to collections. Sorry bud, but you picked them and they represent your name and reputation. Needing to update a credit card within a few days of due date isn't something that should "go to collections" in the first place. The fact they're willing to let a member leave over something so trivial and typical is beyond me. Recurring revenue on monthly auto pay is the life-blood of many businesses. There are plenty of payment solutions in the market that would make life easier on your customers.

The manager denied my request to pause so I cancelled it. Two weeks later they still charged me my monthly payment and annual membership fee (didn't know this existed). Absolutely insane management style exhibited by this place. They tout they are a local family owned gym but the owner lives in Austin. Other staff was friendly. Gym equipment is very old and subpar and it was always packed but that's what you get from a cheap gym. Can't wait for better gyms to open in this area.

It may not have everything you want, but it's got anything you need. 24 hour access is pretty standard now, but it can be rare at these smaller gyms, so they've got that going for them too. There are tanning beds, a stretching area, tons of cardio equipment, traditional machines, and a smaller free weight area. This place can get pretty busy at times, but I'm generally in during off hours and rarely have to wait for equipment. All things considered, this place feels like the small business it is and you get the sense that your money means something here. If that's important to you like it is to me, you'll find that you definitely get your money's worth at this gym.

I've been a member of the Allen location for over 3 months now, and I definitely feel the difference and see the changes in my body. Now, I'm truly ready to challenge myself and work towards a new body. Pilates has improved my sleep, mental health, and overall energy. I'm nearly 60, and your results have everything to do with what you put into it. It's a balance between pilates/ healthy eating/ mindset. Today, I signed up for the unlimited plan, and I'm ready to make this part of my lifestyle. Signing up for the unlimited plan means you can go to another location ... however, this part is a little tricky. For example, when you Google Club Pilates, several locations show up, right. They are owned by different people, this means you are restricted to the studios they own. Although I've enjoyed most of my classes at the Allen location, today I decided to shake up my routine and visit the East McKinney location. Fantastic location!! Amazing personable warm invite from the front desk manager, talented pilates instructor (Kaylan), and the same beautiful environment. I will definitely be going back. Don't let pilates intimidate you. If you've thought about doing it, try it. No matter your health issues or age, there's a class for you. There are classes as simple as stretching, balance, and restoring. Then there are classes that will challenge you -- each level is different -- and you will work your way up. You'll never be in a class that's above your fitness level, your safety is a priority, and CP wants you to evolve in a healthy way. So ... if you decide to get a membership, you have a lot to look forward to!!! One, the Club Pilates app is amazing, and it's easy to use -- pick a date and book your favorite classes in real-time. The lines of communication are wide open and always professional. You can call or text anytime during business hours. If you need to book, cancel, rebook, or ask a question, you always get a friendly voice that will help you. Two, the instructors are trained experts in pilates. They love their jobs, and this comes through in how friendly and helpful they are. I have not attended a class where I felt lost or treated like a number. Each instructor is different in their approach, style, music, and how they make it fun. No doubt, you will be addicted to certain classes and instructors. Three, CP makes every effort to create a sense of community by connecting its members with themed days, tiny events, post stories on their Facebook page, etc. An extra added benefit if this means something to you. Take advantage of their intro class!!! It's free. You can click the form on this page, call directly, or sign up through their website. This is your chance to take a peek, feel the vibe, see the environment, try the reformer, and ask questions. Fair warning: Afterwards, there is a quick sales pitch. They won't answer questions about a new membership over the phone. Dont feel put off by this. The front desk area is super busy, and this can cause misunderstandings. You deserve the one-on-one attention, so book an intro class. You're going to love it! If you do decide to sign up, and you feel like I've inspired you to go, PLEASE tell them Melinda S. sent you. Another cool perk is that there is a referral fee. I sure would appreciate it if you'd mention my name. Meanwhile, feel free to DM me if you'd like to chat about it. M.
