I didn't read the reviews until AFTER I'd already ordered my food, which is a good thing, as most were over a year ago and I was really hopeful things had gotten better. I ordered a large hot and sour soup and a Mu Shu Chicken to go. I watch them pretty much make my order-not just grab from remade dishes. The verdict? The hot and sour soup tasted a little less spicy than I am used to, but that's not a big deal. I also think it was vegetarian, whereas I'm used to it having some pork, but these are not negatives. The Mu Shu Chicken tasted exactly as I've eaten it many times. It was not greasy (nor should it have been). I was worried I should have asked for more hoisin, but I didn't need it. I do always wish there were like triple the pancakes, but I don't mind eating it without for later meals. I spent just under $14 and I got two meals of the soup, three-four of the Mu Shu Chicken and they even added a carton of steamed rice, so that was good for a different meal altogether. I'd say that was a bargain. I also did not have any reaction, so I think its safe to say they are MSG free (I couldn't find that info though labeled on their menu). My son and I are in the process of visiting every Chinese restaurant in Chittenden County. We always order the same thing. I order a chicken and broccoli combo with pork fried rice and an egg roll. My son orders a sesame chicken combo with pork fried rice and teriyaki sticks. Price: On the lower end at $18.05. Portion: 4.8 lbs between the two meals is quite generous and above average. Pros: The pork fried rice was tasty. The sesame chicken had good texture & flavor. Cons: We noticed the cook wasn't wearing a mask. They charge extra for packets of soy & sweet/sour sauce. I'd rather they charge an extra $.25/meal and include sauce packets. This is the only Chinese takeout we've visited that charges extra for sauce. Impression: Overall positive experience giving this restaurant a three-star rating. read more

I ordered the roast pork fried rice and boneless pork ribs. The food was excellent and the fried rice was exactly what I asked for: light oil, spicy and extra pork. Note on the ribs: it's char siu sliced in thin strips and is delicious. I'm Chinese and this is the second best Chinese restaurant I've found in the Burlington area (#1 being the Dim Sum House). So I have just moved here from Virginia Beach, VA. There must be 100+ Chinese food restaurants there, and I have tried dozens of them over the years. Most are pretty consistent there. Not much Differs. This is my first shot at any Chinese food in the Essex Area, and I give them a solid 4+ start out of 5! Beef and Broccoli, wonderful. Prices?? We got some general tao chicken and tofu - the sauce tasted like straight ketchup and the tofu was undercooked. The szechuan beef was alright, but there was no spice at all. overall, not great. also, the wait was a really long time(although I understand many restaurants are spread thin right now, so that's more of an afterthought). read more

Full House is exactly what it seems, a Chinese fast-food restaurant in a strip mall. Prices are low, portions are large, quality is consistently good. Is it authentic, healthy, and amazing quality? No. Is it cheap, fast, and pretty good? Absolutely. Whenever I place an order it's ready in about 10 minutes, so far they've never made a mistake, and some of the dishes are as good as I've gotten anywhere. My parents' flight was delayed, so while my brother and husband were in Boston picking them up, I was tasked with getting their dog back home and having something ready for dinner. I cheated and ordered takeout from Full House. It's 10 minutes from their house and has handy online ordering. Better yet, you pick your items, give your name and contact info, no credit card required until you pick up the food. That's a nice touch in today's world of online fraud. Items I ordered were the house special soup, which is wonton soup with lots of veggies and meat. It was not overly salty, something I appreciate. Next were the dumplings, steamed is our preference. I love that they have a choice of pork or chicken. Personally, I prefer chicken, and having that choice is pleasing. They are flavorful and the dipping sauce was standard but still good. The Triple Jade is really tasty. It's a mix of green vegetables in a spicy garlic sauce. This is my favorite dish there so far. Nice spice level without being too hot. The Singapore Noodles are good, though nothing different to other restaurants. They're still tasty though. Chicken Fried Rice is also good, and less salty than other restaurants, so again that was appreciated. The staff are friendly and very helpful at making sure you leave with any sauces you need. I really enjoyed the ease of ordering, prices, and prompt completion of the order, so we'll definitely be back. read more

Everything was very bland. The chicken wasn't spicy, at all. It was more like a bland sweet sauce. The pork fried rice and the spring roll were also very bland. The biggest disappointment was the crab rangoons. Not only were they bland, they were skimpy on the filling. Definitely not worth the $8.99 I paid for them. I use to get take out often. I was always good, not great, but good. The last few times the food was bland, too much sugar, and not at all enjoyable. Egg rolls and chicken teriyaki were overcooked. I love this no-frills Chinese carry-out. The young couple who own and operate it are really nice, helpful, hard-working, and very friendly. Everything is prepared right before your eyes by highly skilled chefs that are a pleasure to observe as they prepare the orders with a snappy artistic flare. They USE to have really good food, but it changed owners/managers recently and now the food is ok at best. The fried rice is dreadful. It's a dark chocolate brown, dry, funky taste and even the abundance of fillers like peas, pork, onions, etc. can't save it. The chicken I had was ok, but far from great. I've tried this place twice since the new people took it over and both times it wasn't good. I miss the people that use to run it! Sad since this was my "go to" place for Chinese take out. The food here is pretty tasty and a decent value. I like that you can order online and they are fast in getting the food ready for pickup. A mini platter that I got once was a little disappointing for the price but they are a nice way to get a variety of items to share. The combo plates are good as well. Usually the food is fresh and tasty but a few times I could tell that some items (chicken fingers and rice) may have been sitting around since they were dried out. My wife is Chinese and generally unimpressed by any of the Chinese restaurants in the Burlington area. That said, this place has pretty solid beef with broccoli and hot and sour soup. The spanish style dumplings and Singapore style noodles are quite tasty. It's cheap, fast, and the people are nice. It's not the kickass hole in the walls with chicken feet, duck tongues (don't bother), and tripe we got used to out west, but pretty much everything tasted good and some of it's fairly authentic. Of the Essex area Chinese joints, it would definitely top my list. read more
