This has and always will be my go-to sushi spot in town. Most recently, we ordered carryout off of their lunch menu. I ordered the shrimp teriyaki, and my food adventure companion ordered the chicken katsu. Both were very good and came with a California roll, seaweed salad, a couple of dumplings, and a salad. It was a great meal for 12 bucks. Of course we didn't stop there, we also ordered their sushi roll lunch combo, which consisted of three rolls, and a salad. You can never go wrong with their shrimp tempura, but honestly, the spicy salmon always seems to get me every time too. Their special roll menu is a bit pricy but also worth every penny. Had a delicious dinner here. We were greeted immediately and given a comfortable booth. The wait service is very attentive. I LOVE the fresh hot tea they Brew at the table. Sushi is so fresh and the chef makes them all to order. Loved the Halloween Rolls. Nice change to have jalepenos on sushi roll. We had the Love Boat also. Lots of food! They were each a delicious way to start the meal. The salmon roll and Philly roll were delicious as well. Nope, if you venture over to Baltimore St, you'll notice this little gem in a stripe mall. The sushi, amazing (can't compare to Morimoto!)... the service, a little slow at time, but for the most part, for a family-owned restaurant, it delivers. The sushi is pretty good but the service is rather lackluster. No one greeted me when I entered the restaurant to sit me at a table, and there wasn't a sign that said "seat yourself"... can you say awkward? I ordered the "Go Go Lobster" which was a lobster tempura roll with mango, asparagus, spicy salmon wrapped in a soy paper wrap. It was drizzled in a reduced sweet soy sauce. It was pretty tasty and fun to eat, but I couldn't taste the lobster or mango flavor. Overall, it was a decent meal and I could see myself going again, but I would much rather eat at Blue Koi down the street which has much sleeker decor, excellent service, and better food at the same price. read more

Normally I am a big fan of Full Moon. I have been here many times but recently the sushi hasn't been the greatest. The rolls seem like they are poorly made and fall apart easily. The hibachi is still delicious. A friend and I plus my kids came here for dinner since I received a gift card for Christmas. It was packed, the busiest I ever seen. We waiting for 30 to 45 minutes and with kids that's nerve racking :p When we finally sat down at our table the staff was very friendly. Drinks were served quickly and meals were ordered. By the time the food arrived the restaurant was starting to thin out. I got a spicy Maki combo(salmon, tuna, & California rolls) to share and a specialty roll for myself. I have been coming to Full Moon for a few years now, and I have never been disappointed. The staff is always friendly, and they remember you if you've been there a few times. The food is always great and they have an excellent selection. This time around I went with a friend and her kids on a Friday evening and it was busy when we arrived. Every table in the place was filled, so we waited around 20 minutes to be seated. I didn't have a problem with that because it was the first time I've ever had to wait and it's worth it. This place has a great selection of sushi and sushi rolls, including a lot of specialties. I went with a spicy tuna roll and a Spicy Girl roll, which was shrimp tempura topped with spicy tuna, roe and eel sauce. They were both excellent as usual. I also recommend the Lobster Cha-Cha, No Name, and the Britney roll. They are all delicious. I gave them 3 stars only because I still prefer some other area sushi restaurants even though the food here is always good. read more

Apparently Full Moon just recently started working with DoorDash, and I for one am extremely grateful. I've lived most of my life in MD and in Columbia, MD, and was used to having any type of authentic food available. Moving to Hanover was a bit of an adjustment, to say the least. I love good, well balanced, fresh and flavorful Thai curries. I've seen some places that offer a few Thai dishes, but their curries weren't great. Today I tried Full Moon's green curry and it was so, so good. In my opinion, the only way it could have been better would be to have a few more chunks of eggplant! Veggies were fresh, sauce was abundant and perfectly balanced, I didn't specify a specific level of spice, I wanted them to make it how they make it to get a feel for the place. And, they gave me a container of brown rice, that was perfectly cooked, soft and yet grainy at the same time! The only inauthentic touch was the amount of chicken they gave you for an additional dollar... there was quite a bit!! The amount of chicken in that one dish would serve an entire Thai family! I'm not complaining, I tend to eat higher protein, lower carb, but it was surprising. I was ecstatic! My first review in Hanover, I tend not to review unless it's exceptional. This was! My family and I have been eating here for years now and we will continue to do so because the food is phenomenal. From the sushi, to the teriyaki, to the fried rice you cannot go wrong. They even changed owners not too long ago, but the quality of food has remained amazing. I would recommend this place to families too because the environment is not too formal. My experiences at the Full Moon restaurant have been absolutely outstanding which prompts me to write this review. The quality of the food and the level of service are both consistent and at a very high level. They have a great variety on their menu which never makes me feel like I am stuck with the same selection options. My favorite is the Lobster Cha Cha with lightly fried lobster, asparagus, mango and crab. I have also tried several of their Hibachi and Teriyaki dishes which are also excellent in taste and in presentation. I would highly recommend trying this place, you will not be disappointed.
