This experience crossed a line. My girlfriend and I were genuinely excited to try Holy Burger because they advertise a full plant based menu and even offer gluten free buns. That combination is hard to find, so we were genuinely excited. Before ordering, I specifically asked if a gluten free bun could be used with a plant based sandwich. I was told yes. During ordering, I also clearly stated multiple times that we are vegan and everything needed to be plant based. Every vegan knows when you are in a place that serves both, you confirm multiple times. Despite that, I was served real meat. Both my chicken sandwich and my burger were not plant based. After taking a bite (I haven't eaten meat in 16 years), I noticed something was off and asked for clarification. I was initially told it was both gluten free and plant based. When I pointed out that my chicken patty and my girlfriend's chicken patty looked completely different, the answer changed. Only then did the employee realize the mistake and say it was gluten free, not plant based, as if those are interchangeable. They are not. If I had accepted the initial answer, I would have continued eating meat. Like halal, this is ethical. It is not a preference. If you are going to market to vegans and people with dietary restrictions, you need to understand the difference and get it right. What made it worse was the response. There was no real apology, just a casual "that's what you ordered," which wasn't true. I had clearly communicated my order multiple times. I declined the remake because at that point I didn't trust the food. I was told a refund was issued, but I have not seen that reflected yet. We spent about $60 for two people, which makes this so much more upsetting. This is not just a simple mistake. For vegans, this is ethical. Being served meat after clearly ordering plant based is not a minor error, it is a complete breakdown in trust. It left me physically sick, and honestly still does thinking about it. When you serve both meat and plant based options, there should be clear safeguards and employee training in place to make sure this never happens. That did not happen here. Since being recently diagnosed with a gluten intolerance, I've been on the lookout for places with good gluten-free options. This spot has quickly become my go-to when I'm craving "fast food" style meals. So far, I've tried the gluten-free chicken tenders, cheeseburger on a gluten-free bun, seasoned fries, and even their gluten-free cookie. The chicken tenders are especially delicious; once home, I like to drizzle honey and dip them in barbecue sauce, which takes them to the next level. The seasoned fries are always perfectly crispy and flavorful. I'm not a fan of their gluten-free bun or gf cookie but I think I just have to get used to eating things without gluten in it now. The staff has consistently been friendly and helpful. While the seating area inside is small (making it more of a takeout spot), there are a few tables if you'd like to dine in. There's also a small bathroom available and a convenient ordering screen in the lobby for quick service. Overall, this is a solid place for gluten-free comfort food; whether you're in the mood for burgers, sandwiches, or chicken tenders. I was drawn to this place after seeing how many vegan and vegetarian options they have. I tried the regular plant-based burger and the plant-based holy dog. They were both pretty good. I've had better plant-based hot dogs but it wasn't bad. The burger was really good, but I wish the cheese was melted on it. The prices were the only downside. $13 for a kinda small burger. The fries were really good as well (not included with the burger) but I couldn't taste any seasoning despite being called seasoned fries. I'll be back to try the vegan chicken tenders! read more

Holy Cow absolutely lived up to the hype. The burger was juicy, cooked perfectly, and loaded with flavor without being over the top. The fries were crispy and stayed hot the whole meal, and the portions were more than generous. The staff was friendly and kept things moving quickly even though the place was busy. I was actually kind of disappointed in the burger. It just wasn't very balanced and had a not so good kind of greasy feeling to it. Plus I got the double patty and it honestly was such a small amount of meat in leaves you feeling kind of empty. I feel like Taystee's burgers right down the street are far superior. That being said I absolutely loved the spicy chicken sliders and sweet potato tots! They were impeccable. The service was really nice as well! My stomach is full however there are some cons. Let's start with my mom's review. She noted that the onion rings were quite crispy and delicious however the plant based hotdogs did not meet her needs. There is ample parking in the parking lot with 1/2 reserved parking for handicap accessible. The interior is very small and I must say the dining area was quite dirty. This took away from my star rating. The staff was calm however they seemed slightly disinterested in the order. Overall the plant-based burger was quite delicious I enjoyed it however the plant-based chicken option the chicken to bread ratio was quite small it looks like they took a vegan chicken tender placed it on the slider and called it a chicken slider I think they need to make the chicken slider meat the ratio of the bread. Overall the food was quite delicious my mother said she'll be returning for the onion rings and I'll possibly be returning for the plant-based burgers. read more

If they can get an order right, it will probably be good. However, they made mine wrong twice. And I ended up with an upset stomach. I don't like taking antacids after I eat. Onions upset my stomach. So I don't usually eat them. I ordered a burger, no cheese, only lettuce, ketchup, mayo and mustard. First burger had cheese, tomato, onions, special sauce and more. The man said he'd take off the cheese. What?! It's melted in the burger I asked that he make another as I ordered it. He said okay, and I waited. When he returned I checked the second burger. It looked safe, so I took it and went on my way. About 5 miles, and halfway through the burger, I realized there were onion bits on it. They were mixed in with the shredded lettuce. So I tried to scrape them off and finish it. Shortly afterwards I had to take a few antacids. If your order isn't as they have it on the menu, really check your food. read more

My wife and I placed a small carryout order and were very happy with the food and the service. Their online portal (make sure you select the Michigan location) is very easy to use and the food was ready at the estimated time. It is very small place, they have a couple tables, but seem to do a pretty good carry out business. My wife ordered the Holy Tenders, a four piece, and had the honey mustard sauce with it. The tenders were a lot bigger than I thought they would be. She only ate three of them. That left one for me to have the next day, warmed up in the air fryer, it was delicious. She also ordered the onion rings, I thought they were one of the best onion rings I've had in a long time. I ordered the Holy Burger and the Seasoned Fries. Both were very good. My only change would be that I would get the Holy Sauce, which is on the burger on the side. But that did not detract from how delicious it was. They had a bigger menu than I would've guessed. They have a gluten-free section for those who need it. They also have hotdogs and sandwiches. I can't wait to work my way through their menu. read more

I was there with my family, and they truly loved the food. I've always been a big fan of Holy Cow; I've been enjoying their meals since they first opened in New York. It's incredible how they followed me from right next to my madrasa in New York to now being so close to my home in Michigan. It's heartwarming to think that this is the one restaurant franchise I can always count on to bring me joy with their food. Okay, hands down my favorite place!!! I've had it over 10 times. My favorite is the mix and match sliders and seasoned fries. My daughter loves their tenders. I don't know how they make their sauce but WOW so delicious. The service is great. Always checks to see if we need anything or if the food is good. Such a great vibe. Highly recommend. read more
