I started at Hoop's Boot Camp and Fitness in June 2024 at 230 pounds. I started off weighing 400…read morepounds and once I got down to 230 pounds I felt like I was able to start working out. I wanted to build muscle and have a toned and strong body. Immediately, when I started, Jason, the owner and his wife, Darla and their trainer, Amy were extremely supportive and accommodating to the fact that I was out of shape and needed modifications for almost every exercise. I started coming multiple days a week and after a couple of months, I was able to start coming six days a week. The workouts are 30 minutes each, which is great because it doesn't take up too much time in my day and they are great workouts that have made me feel and look stronger and healthier as well as feeling good about my body. I have lost 90 pounds since I started at their gym and I have gained a ton of muscle and look fantastic now all thanks to Hoops Boot Camp and Fitness! I went from a plus size 5X to a size small. They're wonderful owners and are great trainers. They are encouraging, supportive, positive motivating, and accommodating. I have never felt like they pushed me beyond what I was comfortable with yet their workouts are still challenging so that you can get results. They are a family owned and run business. The class sizes are small, no more than 14 people per class and you rotate stations and every day is a different workout and challenge that focuses on lower body strength, upper body strength and core strength along with agility training and cardio. The people that attend the gym are all very supportive and nice. It is a judgmental free zone. I have felt comfortable in this gym since day one and I have never felt that sort of comfort in any other gym that I have been at. I highly encourage you to give them a try. I was given a four week free trial and after that another four weeks at a discounted rate of only $100. Their pricing is really great for a small gym. I only pay $130 a month for unlimited classes. They offer morning, afternoon, and evening workouts. Most of the classes only have around 6 to 8 people so you really get individualized and personalized attention which is really nice. They show you how to properly lift weights and will help you if you are not lifting weights properly so that you don't injure yourself. The gym is small, but it has everything that you need for a full body workout . They have a ropes station. They have weights of all different strengths. They have a TRX station, a med ball station, a kettle ball station, and step up boxes of various size, yoga balls and rollers, rowing machines, and much more equipment to be able to make each work out different but effective. I highly recommend this gym if you are looking for a supportive, nonjudgmental and accommodating gym, with a small group experience, personalized support, and want to gain strength and a healthy body.

From start to finish, she was so easy to communicate with, incredibly flexible with our date and time, and genuinely kind throughout the entire process. Julie went above and beyond by offering privacy for our event and helping provide lighting decorations, tables, and chairs, hot/cold water dispenser, which was convenient and made everything come together perfectly. The space was perfect for about 65 people and felt both comfortable and welcoming.Im sure it could even accommodate more if needed. Parking was super easy to find, and the studio is conveniently located near a Main Street with tons of great restaurants and activities, which was a huge bonus for our guests. The studio itself was clean, well kept, and even had snacks and water available for purchase. 5/5--highly recommend working with Julie! If I lived closer, I would honestly love to be a regular workout buddy with her too. Such a great space and an even better owner! We will most likely be regulars for renting the space. You will also, feel the same if you are looking for an awesome spot for your event! Mariecel G

My son and I found SOS, hoping to buy a new pump, but instead, the kind ladies there offered to let us use the charging points in their own car. Without hesitation, they went of their way to make sure we could get our boards pumped up. They were so kind, generous with their time, and just genuinely good people. It's rare to come across strangers who are so willing to help. Thanks to them, we got to enjoy our day on the water after all. We are so grateful!

Lifetime Folsom is not a gym... it's a full-blown civilization…read more Met a friend here for a workout, and since she's not a member, we had to do the whole guest pass process first. You know... the "tap here, sign here, acknowledge that squats may humble you today" routine. But I've got to give credit where it's due -- the front desk made it ridiculously easy. They were handling a phone call and getting my friend squared away at the same time, and somehow still made it all look smooth. No chaos, no confusion, no "uhhh let me get my manager." Just straight-up professionalism. The second we walked in, she looked around and said, "Is this a city or a gym?" I said, "Honestly... both." Because Lifetime Folsom is not for the weak or the directionally challenged. This place has everything. Pool, spa, cafe, workout floors, recovery zones, pickleball, tennis, locker rooms that feel fancier than some apartments... at one point I'm pretty sure if you turn the wrong corner you accidentally enroll in a wellness retreat. And my favorite part? The confidence people have before a workout. She came out of the locker room with that movie trailer energy like, "Alright, let's do this." Looking at me like, "Bring it." And I did. I coached her through the workout, and for the first 20 minutes she was hanging in there strong. Then somewhere around that 1 hour and 30 minute mark, the spirit left the body. By the end, the look had changed from "I got this" to "I would like to formally unsubscribe." And honestly? Respect. Because the workout was solid. We laughed the whole time, had great conversation, and got after it. That's what I love about Lifetime -- whether you're going hard or just trying to survive the stair climber without seeing your ancestors, it somehow still feels fun. After we wrapped up, we grabbed our stuff and headed to the cafe because recovery was no longer optional. She needed a pick-me-up, and honestly, probably a new set of legs. We grabbed shakes, sat down, and started coming back to life. Then out of nowhere she goes, "Ummm... tacos?" And I looked at her like she had just spoken the Lord's language and said, "Yes." Then she hits me with, "I got the spot. Follow me." Now THAT is elite leadership. So basically this place gave us: a killer workout, laughs, smoothies, and the launching point for Taco Tuesday. What more do you want from a gym? A zip code? Actually... Lifetime might already have one. In all, Lifetime Folsom continues to prove it's way more than just a gym. It's an experience. It's a fitness amusement park. It's where confidence goes to get tested and where post-workout taco plans are born. And honestly... that's beautiful.

I let the instructor know about my injury so if she seen me take it easy or go slow, she knew what was up. She was so supportive and understanding! The other members of the class were friendly, chatting to one another before the class and saying hi to the newbie, me. One of them helped me get my shoes attached to the bike since I didn't know how and another helped me with the bars. It was a collaborative environment of strong women which was amazing to be in. I am a plus size lady and while I dont let that stop me from being active, sometimes I feel like an outlier size-wise. But in this class there were women of all sizes and shapes and everyone was getting their workout on and having a blast! I love how we all sang at the end of the session- this class was the definition of a fun group class environment. Great value for the class and everyone should try it.
