Great shop!!!, After my truck stopped dead on the road with no forward or reverse motion, was referred to bulletproof. The person who answered the phone told me it would be no problem getting my truck there, that they would actually have it towed for me at a discounted price, which was a relief with the cost of tow trucks now. The inspection was free and found I blew out some gears, I was told every step of the way what was going on and was surprised of how much input I got for my overall price, they even gave me free engine and transmisson mounts because they didn't know until after removal of the transmission they were bad, but because my estimate was already written and I only had so much to work with, they just replaced them because it was necessary and the owner didn't want anything to happen, you can imagine my surprise, I mean who does that for you for free!! I even checked online and that was like $160 in parts. I was even let to inspect my parts during the rebuild which was great to see and found out it was being built by the owner himself who has like 30 years experience, wow!!! OK, don't work there or know anyone who does. Just had work done there, I will go into that in a minute. Reading some of these reviews, not fair. Some are BS. The first. You can;t see the filter on a small pickup from underneath, they are internal. That's a bad review. And people neglect their transmissions until they act up, then they go, "Oh, maybe I need to service my trans" Too late, the damage is done. Sometimes a service will help, sometimes not and neither is the shops fault. I was having trouble with a Jeep I built for my kid. The trans and transfer case were leaking. I wrestled with the leaks several times. Nope. I finally got disgusted and told the wife to take it somewhere. It ended up here, at bulletproof. They repaired several seals and discovered a crack in the tailshaft of the transfer case. They happened to have a used tailshaft that was good. The price was STUPID REASONABLE! Half of what I expected. Yes, they earned my business. Keep this in mind. They are a busy shop. They have what? 3 bad reviews? Not bad considering THOUSANDS did not leave bad reviews. Not bad guys. I couldn't be any happier with the service I got!! GREAT JOB... GREAT TEAM!!! I was traveling from Southern Calif when I experienced what could have been a nightmare... I previously had had my OIL changed at a reputable chain, all appeared well until, going across DEATH VALLEY Hwy 127 ... my "transmission" overheated spewing oil all on the under carriage and wheel wheels.. for few miles the van ran "weird" .. when I got to Pahrump I had the nice gents at Bullet Proof check it out. They determined that a grave error had been made at my last "service" which was my OIL change, something that had went undetected for some time.. they put OIL in my transmission and it was OVER FULL.. The nice team at Bullet Proof took great care .... draining and cleaning the mistake .. replacing the proper fluids and spray washing the under carriage and engine area... and test driving it ... they got me back on the road.. and EVERYTHING ran great on my trip back to Southern Calif.. this team went above and beyond on a late Friday afternoon!!! 1st off would like to say that my experience with Bulletproof from calling for the 1st time to the getting diagnosis on my recently purchased used 06 ford explorer was by far the BEST I have ever had at any auto repair shop in my life. BRANDY the young lady who answered the phone was pleasant & let me know that they had a full day of appointments ahead of me but if I could drop it off for a few hours, they would squeeze me in. Which I did, and meeting Brandy in person was even more pleasant than on the phone. I dropped it off at noon & by 3pm she called me with diagnosis that my 3rd gear was tired & to repair it would be $2300 & That I should drive it till it goes out all tha way. They did not charge me anything. THEY DIDN'T HAVE TO BE HONEST BUT THEY WERE. I WOULD GIVE THEM MORE THAN 5 STARS IF I COULD. Bulletproof Transmission is exceptional. The staff is extremely knowledgeable and the service is wonderful. They really go the extra mile to help you. I cannot say enough about Juston, Russ, Sebastian and all the other mechanics and staff at Bulletproof. Our SUV broke down near Betty, NV and we were towed to Bulletproof in Pahrump. The took our SUV in immediately and diagnosed the problem right away. We needed to rent a car and they called Enterprise for us. We were towing a Harley Davidson and had to return the UHaul. However, we now had no car to tow it back to the UHaul dealership in Las Vegas, NV. THEY hauled it back for us - all the way from Pahrump. They do excellent work and the prices are very reasonable.We highly recommend this business to anyone needing to have their transmission repaired or anyone who just needs a good honest mechanic to fix anything on their car! I took my truck in to have the rear main seal replaced. It was a bit of an emergency situation, I'm in the military and needed to get to my new duty station in Florida. It was a Friday afternoon near closing time and I was scheduled to hit the road on Sunday. Every other shop in town was booked for 2-3 weeks. Bulletproof took the truck and started work on it over the weekend when the shop was closed. Even with their lot full of vehicles and every lift occupied, they got the truck back to me by the following Tuesday. Now, more than half way through my 2400 mile road trip and the truck hasn't lost a single drop of oil. I am truly grateful for all the help in getting me back on the road... My a.c. compressor went out Thursday night. Took my SUV in on Friday ( wasn't worried about transportation) They quoted me a price said it should be ready on Monday. ( they had to order the part which I was ok with it) I received a call Monday afternoon saying that it was ACTUALLY ready. Floored me that they had it done so quickly. I told them I couldn't pick it up uuntil the following day. No problem. Walked in the people explained everything to me about the part they fixed and actually kept the quoted prices. AAAA + service and repair the guys at bulletproof saved my vacation. My family and i broke down coming out of Death valley in the heat of summer. Ed and Russ were very helpfull got my transmission fixed without a problem at all. they got me set up with a hotel and gave us rides to and from . i shopped around on the price and it was very competitive with other shops. My Subaru Outback broke down in the Mojave Desert. I had it towed to Bulletproof Transmission in Pahrump because I asked the tow truck driver what he recommended as a GREAT transmission repair shop in Pahrump. I was sure it was my transmission that when out and stressed that to Bulletproof but after they checked it out it turned out to be only my front axle that broke (which was a lot cheaper repair).
