I arrived a little early and they were happy to start right away. I love how gentle the staff is with every aspect of the appointment. From the moment you walk into Smile the Spa, you are greeted by warm friendly folks and a serene atmosphere. They always remember my name and welcome me like I am an old friend. For my first visit, I had a dental cleaning, and I knew immediately that this was a great place. It was such a thorough cleaning and the technology Dr. Terra uses is first rate. I was terrified of the dentist, and I had A LOT of work to do. Many crowns, fillings, fixing some really crazy teeth, and oral surgery. All this before I can do the "fun stuff" (Invisalign and whitening). Whereas other dentists have made my road so long I have eventually given up, Dr. Terra gently and efficiently led me through a healing process. Within months, I now have new teeth! Yes!! And I was scared, but Dr. Terra referred me to an amazing surgeon; I was able to conquer my fear because I knew that if Dr. Terra trusted them, I could too. Thanks to all this work, I will soon start the fun stuff! And yes, my new teeth (Crowns) are GORGEOUS. Dr. Terra is an artist. He makes the crowns himself and they are incredible (and done so so quickly - no more waiting around with a temp crown for months!). I cannot tell you the difference Smile the Spa has made in my smile, my confidence, and my overall health. I am also on a fitness and health journey and Dr. Terra is always interested, remembers my goals and interests, and asks how I am doing. He supports a healthy lifestyle and is super wonderful to be around. Overall, I am so grateful to Dr. Terra and the team at Smile the Spa. Truly a life changing experience.

It's never a great thing to find out when you have somewhat of a dental emergency (cracked molar) and don't really have time to research much. I did some quick research and found a solid digital trail of Dr. Chima and his previous office with good reviews. After speaking with Dr. Baba's staff, who seemed confident in him, I booked an appointment. Everyone--from Noah at the front desk to Kim the hygienist--was professional and friendly. The office has been nicely remodeled, with updated equipment and TV monitors at each station. I watched 8K footage of Hawaii to get in the mood for my upcoming trip--super relaxing. They were very thorough--lots of X-rays and questions from the hygienist before I met Dr. Chima. He clearly explained everything from the X-rays, and I did end up needing a crown. Noah came in with my insurance info and cost breakdown. Delta Dental only covers about half, so I expected some out-of-pocket costs, but there was also an unexpected fee for a "new lab" they wanted to use to make the crown. That wasn't great to hear, but the visit had gone well overall, so I went ahead. They placed the temporary crown that day, and I returned two weeks later for the permanent one. Dr. Chima really knows what he's doing. The novocaine was spot-on--just the area needed, not my whole mouth like in the past. The rest was painless, and both times they made sure my bite felt perfect before I left. Another nice thing is they accept Care Credit here. I'm glad I stuck with this office. Congrats to Dr. Chima on his new practice--I wish him continued success and plan to be a long-term patient.

I have had a crazy few weeks since cracking a tooth while eating cherries!! That was on a Thursday…read morenight during our grandkids' swimming lessons! I took the chance on calling the office, though it was 6:57PM, thinking I would get the Answering Service or voicemail. Was I ever thrilled when Desireé actually answered after I held a bit! She was able to make an appointment the next morning at 11:30AM with my dentist!! WHAT A RELIEF!! I was VERY happy that Dr. Robert Nochez and Long Beach Smiles Dentistry was able to fit me in on such short notice the very next day! It ended up being a root canal and a crown because of the vertical cracking of the tooth but at least it wasn't an implant!! And this is even crazier, the next week, a crown I have had for many years feel out in the sink I the morning while I was water flossing! I figured it would be no big deal and they could just re-cement it but nope--there was decay next to the gum and they had to clean it up and I needed another crown since the margins no longer match. Again, it was great that they were able to fit me in when I called that morning; and with my doctor, once again! BEWARE OF LONG BEACH SMILES at 5533 Stearns Street in Long Beach!!!…read more They are committing insurance fraud and defrauding their customers as well. They not only overcharged me for services that were capped by my insurance but their mismanagement of my account with a secondary lender caused my credit rating to plummet. If you have an HMO Dental Plan, they are prohibited from charging anything over the "Maximum Allowable Charges" that are set by their "capitation" agreement with the insurance company. I was overcharged by $3,388 for dental work and only found out because I spoke with the insurance company the OTHER time they tried to overcharge me. I only found out after demanding itemized receipts and comparing them with the fees on the Delta Dental website. Besides the issue with the outside lender, I have overpaid them $844.00 out of pocket and they refuse to pay the money back. I will be taking them to court but can only imagine how many more people they have done this to. If you have ever gone to Long Beach Smiles at 5555E. Stearns Street in Long Beach, please ask for your itemized receipts and compare them to the maximum allowable charges. Please contact me if you find anything. Stay away from this horrible unprofessional place !! The worst experience ever! Staff is very inconsiderate and just mess around with patients time with no remounts ! I scheduled an appointment for an advertised free teeth whitening (their hook to attract victims, and obviously by claiming tons of other stuff to the insurance) and I was very clear about how important it was for me to have it done. When I went to the office they took my X-rays and mentioned about the teeth whitening again, I was seen by the dentist and I mentioned the teeth whitening once again, he said I'd have it done. A few minutes after the Dr left the room, the receptionist informed me that they were leaving for lunch and were unable to do my teeth whitening, there were 4 staff there but apparently having fun together was more important than taking care of their patients, I mentioned I left work just to make it to this appointment they scheduled for me at their convenient time and they just kept asking me to come back in 1 hr after their lunch., they didn't even let me talk to the Dr. since he clearly stated I was about to have the treatment done. I asked why they & the Dr. lied to me and it was not fair to waste patients time, gas and time off from work. I had to drive an hour from work just to be there for nothing! Don't fall into their trick of the free teeth withering, all they want is every penny squished from the insurance, but they can care less about patients at all!! as they're inconsiderate, heartless and zero customer skills whatsoever. EXCELLENT and absolutely wonderful experience! From the moment I walked in, I was greeted with the lovely front office staff (I didn't catch their names) and they were kind, welcoming, and attentive! I didn't wait long at all before being called in. The office itself was so cute and really clean! I was then greeted by Yadira the dental assistant who was so sweet and gentle! She took my x-rays and helped me get settled in. I then met Dr. Pham who was AMAZING !!! He was so nice, and was patient in hearing my concerns and fears from previous work I had received at another dental office. He took the time to really explain the work I needed and I felt was very honest with me. The reason for my visit was because I was experiencing a great deal of pain due to a cavity in one of my molars. It was meant to be just a consultation, but Dr. Pham was kind enough to offer to provide me with a filling for my cavity right then and there! He really took his time, was extremely gentle, and communicated with me the whole way through making sure I was okay! Dr. Pham and Yadira made the perfect team and their professionalism shows! Please, if you're looking for a dentist who you can trust and feel comfortable with as well as have a supportive staff to walk you through from start to finish, this is the place!!! I recently was referred to this dentist office by my insurance and before I came to this office, I had been to five different dentist office and the other offices were not professional , was charging too much, did not take in consideration my fears, my concern , when I came to this office, I was overly surprised at the kindness, the very professional attitude, the thoughtfulness of how I felt . The doctor was asking me my thoughts and anything that I was concerned about , the doctor was just straight up real and beyond professional, the day of my surgery to remove a wisdom tooth, they had nice music playing the technician that was helping the doctor was very attentive to me making sure that I was OK throughout the whole procedure and I was bracing myself for pain and before I knew it , it was all over , that doctor was seriously amazing. Seen here at the last minute; having a temporary crown in one hand that came off after a few days (done by a different dentist) whilst my other hand was raised in caution... the young lady who remounted it was marvelous in every way. "Caution" you ask? I was in excruciating pain, just breathing cool air in was enough to trigger such agony I lost the ability to focus or see in color (owww.) ...and here's the thing: she listened and worked with me using gauze pads instead of air to dry the area so the cement would hold. (Still, it hurt, but I did not scream out loud for the sweet release of a quick death and THAT counts). Two days now and no pain, at all. The temp is fitting perfectly, no jagged edges, no taste of glue, no concerns. VERY HAPPY! It is nice to know there are still folks who are truly excellent at their craft and still patient with their patients. It was my first visit but being over 50, I think I have enough experience to say, with confidence, I was well taken care of. read more

On 5/23/2019, I went to Fuller Smiles dental office for the first time. The front desk person Amina was very helpful and greeted me politely as I filled out the new patient information forms. I had a complete Xray, Cleaning and initial examination done. My Hygienist named Debbie was less than professional on multiple counts though and down right inappropriate and Rude!. I did NOT feel Safe or Comfortable with this person AT ALL!!! Aside from that, Dr. Mona Nejad was very professional, compassionate and focused on excellent dental care. I recently took my 3 daughters and myself to this dentist. From reception, to billing to being seen the process was so friendly and fast. All of us got a teeth cleaning, examination and xrays. Debbie was extremely thorough and sweet. My children range from 14-6 and it was appropriate for all ages. I couldn't get my 6 year old to come around to the idea of going to the dentist, but as soon as she saw Analisya the office manager she took to her and did everything they asked her to do. I'm came with my daughter for removal of all 4 of her wisdom teeth. She has bad anxiety and the process was very triggering for her. They were able to remove one but couldn't do the rest because she was spiraling. The office manager Jennifer was great. She suggested that they stop and she return the next day after taking a prescribed Valium. We came the next day had a female dentist ( Dr Taran) which was such a different experience. My daughter felt supported and was able to complete the procedure successfully. We appreciate all the love and support and would definitely recommend this facility to all. read more

Just had my first appointment. It was wonderful! I have a pretty small mouth and the X-rays are always the worst part for me. I always tend to tear up due to the bulky bits they put in our mouths. The attendant was very mindful of this and was able to x-ray my teeth in a jiffy! I didn't cry this time! The dental hygienist also did such a fantastic job on my teeth! My teeth are white and shiny now! I can't stop looking at them! Very awesome! Lastly, Dr. Mona did a wonderful job and was able to fix a small cavity before it got bigger all in the same day. Usually my experiences with dentist have always been great and this location is not different. They do a great a job at reminding your appointments and the location, although a bit small, it's clean and welcoming. The staff are very kind and Doctor is very sweet. They their job very quick and painless. I also managed to in quick and get out pretty fast which is surprising. I honestly have nothing bad to say about the place, except that it might be a pain to arrive on a car because the parking situation realizes on the building that it is situated. read more

I strongly recommend avoiding this dentist. I went in for a small cavity, and the doctor provided an estimate that was several thousand dollars over what my insurance would cover, with many unnecessary treatments included. When I asked if those treatments were really needed, they insisted that unless I agreed to everything, they wouldn't fix my cavity. They even suggested I could use a financial company to help pay for it. This is completely outrageous. In the end, I went to a different dentist who fixed my cavity for less than $100. read more

Been going for a couple of years and overall my experience has been positive. Went in got some X Rays and got a teeth cleaning. I do have to come back because one of the cavities they took out lowkey hurts but the fact they quickly scheduled me made me feel confident that I can be quickly seen & attended. Excellent dentistry here! A very caring staff and the dentists continuously ask you if you're doing okay during any procedure. If you're worried about visiting the dentist, then this is the place to go. The dental assistants are also very caring and efficient. I've personally had teeth cleaning, fillings, and a crown procedure done here. I've been to many dentist and always been terrified like everyone else but I am so happy! to have found this dental office. They are all amazing. I honestly haven't had a deep cleaning before and I was so scared but as soon as Debbie called me in I knew I was in good hands. She is very sweet and does amazing work.I felt safe and comfortable. What a great experience! This office made sure to send me txt reminders for my children's appointments, and as a single dad with a full time job, I NEED THEM! Once at our appointment, my kids were called in immediately and I appreciated the honesty from the Dentists. I've had other experiences where dentists have tried to charge me an arm and leg for anything and everything, but Fuller Smiles was honest and straightforward. I am so glad that I found Fuller Smiles dental a few years ago. I live in LA and I go to both locations but I recently started Invisalign and because I was with Dr. Chima, I followed him all the way to Long Beach!! He is so good at what he does and just an overall good guy. We call him the "gentle giant". Lol!! His bedside manner is great and he truly listens to all of your concerns. I drive a distance to fuller smiles Because they are very patient CLEAN and make me and my Family feel comfortable the front desk is nice and quick! Debbie she's #1 in my eyes her Deep Cleaning is the Best!!!! She's very forward and old school. She goes above and beyond. And Dr Chima is Great very honest and cares about his patients . Check your bills closely--this office is pocketing FALSE fees…read more I liked this place for their service, but they have repeatedly tried to overcharge us. Both my husband and I were asked to pay a $50 insurence "deposit" before standard cleanings. I have never been charged this so I contacted Delta Dental who explicitly confirmed to me that this is against their policy. Cleaning are always free - you should only pay deposits for other extra services after you get them. They also sneak in a $25 fluoride treatment without permission (which isn't covered by adult insurance). Fluoride is a treatment that legally requires patient permission. Even after explicitly declining it for my second visit and having it noted on my chart, they still billed me for it. Getting my refunds took weeks of annoying phone calls. On top of that, they never honored a promised $50 referral bonus, ghosting me whenever I brought it up. I won't be returning; a patient shouldn't have to constantly police their dentist's shady billing tactics.

I left feeling relieved and even scheduled my deep cleaning appointment without hesitation. If you're putting off going to the dentist because you're nervous or embarrassed that it's been a while, don't be. I waited 5 minutes short of an HOUR to get a cleaning. When I got brought back x-rays were taken, gums evaluated, and I talked to the doctor. All 3 people I saw told me I had excellent teeth and had taken good care of them. I heard them telling the dental hygienist that I just need a regular cleaning and everything looked great. When the rep from the dentistry showed up she told me I needed to do a deep cleaning for an extra $200. When I refused she had me sign paperwork saying that my teeth will fall out and my gums will decay "soon" if I didnt do their recommended extra cleaning. I chose the basic cleaning. He seemed rushed and not detail oriented, but clearly this office is pushing for numbers and profit. All of the dental professionals I met were kind, seeemed knowledgeable, anf did a reasonable job. The front staff was also very efficient and courteous. Furthermore the front waiting room was specious, comfortable and offered water, coffee, and snacks. What I did not like about this office was that they seemed to be money oriented before care. Patients were pushed through, and left to wait for long periods of time. When they did receive care, after, a representative would try to push them for Unnecessary treatments to push the profit lines of this facility.
