Jesse was our server, he did an incredible job. As someone who worked in hospitality for 10 years, I give the food and the service 10 stars. I watched as the other employees handle a high maintenance customer with kindness and respect, which shows how well they treat their customers. Can't wait to go back, thanks again, Jesse!

French bread toasted and topped with fried oysters, poached eggs, and a Cajun cream sauce. So delicious and perfectly prepared. Bloody Mary paired very well with this dish! French cut pork chop, blackened, and topped with mango chutney! So tender and juicy! I chose collard greens as one side and they have that true southern taste! Red beans and rice as the second side...a personal favorite. We sat outside as it has a great vibe since it's located at an old train depot! If you're lucky a train will pass by while you're dining! Service is nice and servers are very attentive. You can also sit in the Bar Mason and get fabulous service as well and order off of the menu as if you were in the restaurant or sitting outside. Great date night spot for sure!

My server immediately came to the table, brought me an unsweetened tea. I was torn between shrimp n grits or the Parmesan crusted black grouper. My said both were great. I chose the grouper. My entree arrived and it didn't disappoint. A large thick piece of grouper cooked perfectly surrounded by a crispy delicious crust. The Brussels sprouts were crispy and tender with a tasty sweet glaze. The greens were also on point - lots of bacon pieces and a sweet/spicy taste. Lunch came with a large crispy hush puppy. With tip - lunch was $50. A bit pricey - I don't mind paying top dollar for a top quality meal and service. Well done Jonah's!

A lot of hype. A LOT .... Lines around the block for this place. My wife's whole family raves…read moreabout it. I have heard about this place for years and finally braved the lines. Not really worth the wait. Decent food. Friendly staff. But nothing super special. For Thomasville, I get it, but I live in Pensacola where there is a place like this on every corner. I had the grouper sandwich (blackened) and the fried green tomatoes for a starter. The FGTs were very good. The sandwich was average except that the ciabatta bun was exceptional. Cheese grits on the side were above average. Brussels sprouts were just like any bistro Brussels sprouts ever (man, I wish this trend would die, but I keep ordering them hoping to be surprised.) The place was PACKED (as usual) but the staff were friendly and attentive. For me, however, this is expected in any restaurant. Therefore: 3 stars for decent - if unimaginative- food and good service. Will not come back unless there is no line ... albeit an unlikely scenario.

Fresh biscuits, eggs however you choose, and the meat of your choice. Good grits or roasted chopped potatoes ( hash browns from scratch). An endless cup of fresh coffee, and good local folks that treat you just like your home. Then it's lunch time... mom leaves the kitchen because these are the recipes only grandma can cook!! The flavor of everything is just like grandma does it. Fried chicken with that crust that rings in your ear when you bite into it. Hamburger steak with homemade gravy over the top. Yes please!! Tomato pie? Just try it. Loaded with cheese and not something you find from a town that it snows in. This is the epitome of what South Georgia is all about at the table. By yourself? Don't be a stranger. Introduce yourself and grab a seat at the round table just inside the door. The fellas will enjoy the conversation almost as much as you will. Don't miss this place. Get off the highway and go find what southern life is really all about. You will thank me later. Safe travels on a full belly.

This one looked like it fit the script but man I was wrong when I walked in. Everyone was super nice and kind but the food was awful and presentation was non existent. My food was bland, no flavor, the biscuits and gravy tasted like nothing but flour and had no seasonings. This is something my Wonderbread white great great grandmother would have made. my white toast was burnt on the bottom which I don't know how you couldn't see that and actually think " hmmm this big girl will eat this no matter what" it baffles me on what runs through peoples heads when it comes to this type of quality of food. unfortunately, I wouldn't even give this to my dog. That's how terrible this food was. The coffee was weaker than my left knee on a rainy day. I apologize for the blunt delivery, but these reviews have got to be written by family members or friends because there's just no way the hype is that real on food that is being served on paper plates with plastic cutlery and blend as ever.
