We had a blast! The band had the crowd jumping. In addition, the place is big w/ lots of tables for large groups (there were ~ 15 in our party). The dance floor is spacious also, so it didn't get body to body. Lastly, the clientele are chill, and no one was looking to cause trouble unlike some places. Our waitress took excellent care of us (I forgot her name). But all the staff was cool. I ordered a few drinks from Yvette at the bar, and she was friendly & warm. The only downside is the food is pricey & average. That issue is easily resolved by eating beforehand (band starts @ ~ 9 pm). I only had snacks at Gaslamp to line my stomach for all the alcohol. I would definitely return to enjoy a fun night in a low key place. The cover is reasonable, and the service is very good.

They did honour my request to have the burger plain with just the bun, meat and cheese. Good. The burger was decent but nothing special especially considering the price. The French Fries were decent. Men's washroom was clean and had paper towels... good. I'm glad that the bartender who served me tucked his shirt in... looks professional. I was not able to understand what Whey Jennings said from the stage. Either he did not speak well or else that the acoustics were bad. If I was to assign a letter grade as is done in school, this establishment would be in there solid with a B.

Since my last review 11 (!) years ago I've been back many many times and have seen some amazing bands at this humble venue. It's a reliable place for me and the hubby to catch cool bands, local or otherwise. They use the DICE app for ticketing and keeps prices reasonable, no doubt from being able to circumvent the LiveNation racket. Their trivia nights are still going strong, and there's always something going on. Even though their outdoor patio has shrunk recently (something beyond their control), it's still one of the best places in Long Beach for live music, provided you're into punk and adjacent genres. The first thing that stood out (after having been to Sevilla Nightclub just a mere hour before visiting this place) was how lax security was. And by lax, I mean they don't pat you or check you for guns at all. Cover IS free so that's definitely a plus. The whole place smells of marijuana smoke and the floor was kind of sticky. They do give out free water, which is nice but they don't have disposable cups, rather they have regular plastic clubs that I'm assuming are washed regularly? The music was ok. Not my thing but I can definitely groove to some Hip-Hop/R&B every now and then. The patrons were friendly and it was easy to make conversation and connect with others. Some of the people were already high as a kite there, though, lol. Again, I can't comment on the drinks or their prices, since all I usually have is soda, or water if it's available. Overall, a bit of an improvement over Sevilla in some respects, and not as good as Sevilla in others. Final Score: 3/5, just like Sevilla Nightclub down the street.

Table settings and catered food. The 2nd floor was clean. The restrooms were clean. For the men's urinals, there is no privacy. No partition between urinals. I don't recall trying any food here, but their drinks are stiff with plenty of beer on tap. No fancy, craft cocktails, but good ol' classic cocktails we used to get for cheap at the Red Room. I wish the people were more friendly, but they were mostly Mexicans and have no love for 'Blacks' Latino or otherwise. I even wore a nice dress shirt with tge word 'Honduras', on it. Not like the East coast were 'Black' Latinos are more common.
