They did a great job at our school event this year!!! Every year we have a day where the parents bring the kids and we have a whole day of different activities. This year we did it at Castaways Park in Newport Beach. We have done it there before in past years and it's a great venue with lots of outdoor space. Because they have so much room we were able to rent 3 ponies along with staff for the kids to ride. They sent 3 staff members who were super nice and explained everything and made sure all the kids were safe. We used them to get a petting zoo for our school. This is actually the 2nd time we got them for the same thing so we pretty much already knew what it includes. They come out with a little zoo, keep the animals inside a fence and put down some little pretend grass so it doesn't make a mess. Animals are pretty simple but it's good for little kids. We did this for our preschool Little Treehouse in Northridge so it's more important to us that the animals are small and safe and kid - friendly then having a big zoo. I found something on here that I honestly never expected I'd be able to find. We have a super small area in our backyard but I wanted to see if there was any possible way we could fit in some type of jumper or bouncy for the kids to do. Just rented a really cute combo inflatable jumper castle with slide attached. Was a good fit for the ages of kids we had, everyone had plenty of space to go in the bouncer and use the slide. The slide was a good height for even the smaller kids to be able to climb up and slide down by themselves. Seemed very safe and stable and the jumper was in excellent condition, very clean. We had the Paw Patrol characters come to my son's party at Lucky Strike in Orange and they were a big hit with the kids. The place was packed and pretty noisy, so I wasn't sure how well it would work, but the performers handled it really well and kept the children's attention the whole time. We recently hired this place for our annual Kid's Day at Magnolia Science Academy Santa Ana, and they did a great job. We booked them for 3 hours to have a balloon twister entertain the kids. The event is a mix of a fundraiser and a community gathering, and the balloon twister really added to the fun. We had a super fun party with Poppy and Branch from Trolls coming to visit the kids. We hired the characters for an hour and we had about 18 kids total. Some of them were too young to really participate but it didn't matter, they had a fun time just dancing and hugging the characters. The costumes looked great, I was really impressed by the quality. I've seen some mascots that don't look that good so I was worried, yeah I did see the pics on their website but you never really know until the characters show up how they're going to look in person. This place really came through for us with our last minute request. We had hired a Minnie Mouse party character from another company and everything was all set to go. Then just 2 days before our party they sent a text saying they weren't coming! What?? Wow that was stressful and unprofessional. Our party was on a Saturday afternoon so most of the places we called to get a replacement were already sold out or they didn't have a Minnie available. Also our party was in Murrieta which a lot of local places don't serve. So after about a dozen emails to every character company I could find online I heard back from Fun Factory and they said they were available. Yes they were a little bit more expensive than the place I had originally hired but that was understandable because they had to drive about 75 miles one way to get to our party so it made sense. And the amazing thing was that they were actually willing to adjust their schedule at the last minute and find me a staff person who would be able to come out. Not only that, but when they came out their Minnie Mouse costume was AMAZING. It was exactly what we wanted, the style was really cute and the costume was in excellent condition. It was the closest I have seen to a professional mascot from a theme park. The performer was there right on time and had great energy with the kids. We threw a tropical-themed street party for our block last weekend, and having something for the kids to stay busy was a must. This place really helped make our event great! We do a food booth at the annual street Orange County Street Fair every year. We always try to have something fun going to draw in the crowd and attract people to our booth because there's a lot of competition. Sometimes we have people in fun costumes so this year we thought it would be fun to have a couple mascot characters standing around in front to attract attention to our booth.  All of our staff were busy working in the booth serving customers so we didn't really have anyone extra available to wear the mascot costumes. Someone found Funfactory online and we emailed them about maybe sending a couple of their staff to our event to wear the costumes. They were great! They responded right away and they actually did have a couple of staff people available. They said their staff would be high energy and had experience wearing mascots, so it seemed like a good fit. Day of the event the 2 performers Jeremy and Gemma arrived right on time, actually half hour ahead which was perfect. They were right, they were both super friendly, high energy and kept the crowd involved and definitely brought a lot of cool attention to our booth. Plenty of people came by to take pictures with the characters and that led to great interaction and high turnover for our booth. We had a great year and their crew helped a lot. Poor customer service, the character I booked for my sons birthday was late and had a bad attitude when he showed up, would not book again

I'm going to give this place an overall positive review because of our experience with using them for a work party. We don't usually hire a lot of stuff for kids so I wasn't really sure where to go or even what to do this time around. A lot of our corporate functions don't have families so it's not something I have a lot of experience with. Google brought me to Fun Factory after a couple of clicks, I still wasn't sure what to go with but they gave me some pretty good suggestions. What I liked a lot was that they never tried to upsell us on a bunch of extra stuff we didn't really need. They asked some normal, basic questions about the size of the party, ages of the kids, number of kids etc etc. All things that showed that they were actually interested in finding us a good match for entertainment options and not just telling us to order a ton of stuff that wasn't a good fit. That matters a lot to me and also that saves time because we don't have to go through a lot of unecessary back and forth. Their website is very easy to use and I was able to get a detailed written quote in half an hour! Out of 4 places I tried this was by FAR the fastest response, and when I requested a phone call back I got it right away. The other places seemed like a lot of phone and email tag which does not make it any easier when you're trying to plan an already complicated event schedule.  They recommended a few things which definitely made sense for our event, and we got the whole thing worked out in under an hour. That was great, gave me plenty of time to move on to other pieces and one less thing to worry about. They stayed in touch the whole time right up until the day of the party, and even followed up after to see how it all went. That's a level of customer service that I didn't experience from the other places I contacted, and it's worth it to me to have that even if the price was maybe 5-10% higher than a couple of the other places I called, it was totally worth it for the time I saved and also it seems like it's backed up by the quality of the service they provided. Got a couple of Minions characters, a balloon twister and a Magician who all turned out to be great for everyone. Kids loved it, parents were happy and everything went smoothly and on time. We got a couple walkaround type characters just to add a little fun to our event. We just needed them to walk around, meet the kids, take pictures etc. No big deal, just a nice little extra for the kids and families to have fun. I found this company online when I was looking for somewhere to rent an adult sized Daniel Tiger mascot costume. It was for a school event for about 100+ kids, mostly ages 4-7. We needed to have the Daniel Tiger character for a long time, so it definitely made more sense to just rent the costume and get an adult here to wear it instead of hiring a live performer for an entire day. We actually needed the costume for flexible hours too, so the rental was obviously more in line with what we needed. The price for the rental was pretty reasonable, we actually got to keep the costume for a few days and it was around $200.00. I'd say the rental process was pretty straight forward. I emailed them a couple times with questions and also to get a pic of how the costume actually looked. Both times I got a response back pretty fast like in less than half an hour. Their costume looked GREAT, and I was really happy to see when it arrived that it did look like the pics they had sent me. I'd say it's good for an adult to wear, it maybe takes a little bit of help getting it on which is why we had a couple people to assist the person wearing it. But all in all it fit great and looked great. The kids loved it, and the whole rental and return process was pretty easy. I like their selection of costumes so it's pretty likely we will do this again maybe for something seasonal or a holiday theme type mascot. read more

I rented the PJ Mask mascot costumes for my son's 4th birthday party. When the boxes arrived, I noticed an odor right away. The odor wasn't like the costumes had been stored for a while, it was a dirty, sweaty, Body odor. Upon inspection of the costumes: Owlette had thread unraveling from the body suit, browning teeth, pins sticking out, an eyebrow falling off, and visible dirt/sweat stains in the mask and shoes. Gecko had a missing eye (that I later found in the box), the same visible dirt/sweat stains, and the front of the mask looked as though a cat had clawed at it. Cat Boy had a broken zipper on the suit, same cat scratches and dirt/sweat stains on the mask, and was WAY smaller than described. When I expressed my disappointment to Jeff via email, he no regard for the condition he sent the costumes in or the fact that he overcharged my card by almost double the rental amount, which I have now begun disputing with the bank. I just found this place to rent a really cute white pony for my little girl's 6th birthday party. She really loves ponies I mean come on what little girl doesn't haha. We had both boys and girls there but we really wanted to get something that would fit a pony princess type theme. This place had exactly what we were looking for and the price seemed pretty reasonable. It was a little bit higher maybe $25 than another company but I compared the way their pony looks and I loved it. The pony was the perfect size for little kids to ride on and take pictures. There were around 12 kids at the party mostly girls and everyone got to have a turn. The company brought out the animals and had them all set up and ready to go in about 20 minutes. Alyssa the lady who handled the pony with the kids was super sweet and she made sure all the kids were safe. Our school had a big parent / student fair for back to school this year. We don't do this every year but this was a little big of a bigger deal because we've been transitioning from online learning back into real time classroom, which is SO much better for kids of our age ranges. Received one over the phone and then was texted another quote that was $120 more than the verbal one, and was more than double the quotes I received anywhere else. I used this place to hire a live Buzz Lightyear from Toy Story character to make an appearance. It was for a special even at a movie theater. We did like a promo there for the new Toy Story movie and we thought it would be a really fun idea to have Buzz himself come out in person to watch the movie! It worked out great and it was a really fun unexpected promo and surprise for the kids. It was easy to work with the agency and I made the arrangements in a couple of short phone calls. We rented a totally cute Elmo and Abby Cadabby party characters from this company. We had a whole sesame street style party at an event center at a park near our house. We had both characters come out for 1.5 hours. The costumes looked amazing and the kids reactions to having them come to the party was worth every penny. Very professional looking mascot costumes and also the people wearing them Greg and Julie really did a nice job. It was a warm day so I felt a little bad with them being stuck inside these costumes but they never showed it. They were really upbeat and kept things moving along the whole time. On the day of the party they came and set up at 11am, (not a second earlier) Right at 11:30am, their attend came up to my husband made an entire seen that he needed his money RIGHT NOW because he has to pack up and leave. I was confused and asked why and that we had them reserved till 2pm. He called his boss who said absolutely no give our money and pack it up. I obviously refused to give the money and they man packed up and left. The petting Zoo was set up for no more than 10 minutes before the man came demanding for his money and they where not willing to accommodate and figure it out at a later time or accept that I had them booked for 3 hours. I have never been so mortified or humiliated In front of all our family and friends, by a vendor! That was supposed to be our entertainment for the kids. We rented a facepainter lady from this place for a holiday party a week before xmas. Ended up with about 45 kids. They had sent out 2 people to paint the kids faces and also make glitter tattooes and other types of facepaint style decorations. It was fun, seems like maybe the girls were a little bit more into it than the boys but all in all I think they kids all liked it. Good thing is they can do diff types os styles like if the boys want a superhero spiderman or whatever they can get that, and if the girls want like rainbows etc they can do pretty much anything. Keep away from this business. I paid a $250 deposit for a pony and a character for my daughter's birthday. The total quoted cost was $550. After a week, I get an email saying the pony has an ear infection, asking if I could either move the party to another day (nope, party is in 10 days) or keep the character only. Well, what does Jeff do? Aside from having a very rude tone (after me being understanding), he basically stole from me. Jeff increases the price of the character to $350. He claims he had sent me an itemized quote saying this was always the price. Nope. Never had an itemized quote. Besides, when does a pony only cost 200? Per their website, a character is $215 and a pony is $385 per hour. The pricing was based off of this. Again, no itemized quote. Instead of arguing, I say just refund and cancel, because you can't deliver the full service anyway. So what does Jeff do? He offers only $150 back even though in writing he said "you can cancel and get your entire deposit back". So my options with Jeff and Fun Factory Party are as follows: 1. Pay $350 for a $215 character ($135 swindle) 2. Get $150 of my $250 deposit back ($100 swindle) Even if I went with the first shakedown, what is to say I won't get another note from Jeff saying the character suddenly can't make it. Now I am out $250 and nothing for the party as he still refuses to give the deposit back. Unethical. Shady. Stay away. read more

I had a great experience with this company. I used them to rent a combination jumper and slide for a bunch of 5,6 and 7 year olds. The jumper they sent looked great, just like the pic they emailed me ahead of time. Their setup process was really smooth and I appreciated that they showed up super early so it was all ready to go by the time my party started. They were also very good with their price. They gave me a great deal and even beat the best quote I had been given. Really easy to work with and I'll for sure use them again. read more
