ANIMAL ABUSE!! They keep a poor sad turkey in the smallest, I mean SMALL little cage! The poor animal is always so anxious & seems incredibly sad. The goats are also in a very small area with no grass, right under the freeway area! I tried calling animal control & rescue places but could not find help. I pray that a kind hearted person will read this & send help!

Small 'no dogs' sign from parking lot

As always, it was a lovely experience picking out pumpkins, but it should be noted that there is some contradicting information in that yelp says they allow dogs, however, during the busy season such as Halloween and Christmas, they do not allow dogs unless they are in a shopping cart or being held. The no dogs signs are rather small and not overly stated or noticeable when you walk in the entrance. We were still allowed in with our dog and had a great day, but others might find this to be helpful information before taking big dogs with them to the pumpkin patch as the carts are hard to push through the dirt, especially with 60 pounds of animal in it. Other than that, everything was top-notch. Great customer service and a fun time.

Had a wonderful time at Tapia Bros Farm looking at the Christmas trees, seeing the gorgeous wreaths and picking out some mistletoe. This is a very fun and festive environment with incredible service and lots of beautiful trees to choose from. The team was very welcoming and helped to keep everyone in the Christmas spirit!! There are farm fresh tomatoes available that smelled divine. I will be back very soon to sample more of the wonders and to enjoy the holiday merriment!

I love this place. It's a gem in the middle of our bustling city, and the blonde lady who works at the stand is so kind. They have a small selection of produce, and they have some animals (chickens, goats, sheep, and a turkey). They do a fun pumpkin patch every year with a petting zoo. I have grand visions for this place. If they offered a little more produce, maybe some homemade jams, and threw in a few more barn animals, we could have our very own miniature Underwood Farms in Encino. This place could honestly go from cute to incredible with a few tweaks. Even as is, it's a great place to take the kids when they're bored, and a great place to pick up tomato plants during Tomatomania!

This was our first pumpkin patch we visited October 2023! Such cute vibes ! Very friendly and small. Perfect to get that Halloween fix without breaking the bank. I brought some small pumpkins home with me :)

Ask the Community - Tapia Bros Farm

Is Tapia Bros. Permanently closed? I went there the other day and it looked vacated and was closed.

I contacted them successfully on Facebook. They are just closed for the season. They said they'll be back open in March. Yay!

Are the animals at the farm all year long?

No, they only have them in festivals mainly. Regular days you might see a chicken or two not really a petting zoo

Does this place sell all sorts of produce like tomatoes, potatoes, onions, etc. Is the pricing reasonable?

They might be closed for the season. During the spring, summer and fall they carry other produce as well as corn.

    How much is the admission?

It's free! The kids area with rides is closed so there's no charge.

    Is the corn maze open?

No! It was not open when we were there in Oct.

Are they open this year? Which safety measure do they have in place for Covid?

Yes they have measures in place and ask that people social distance and wear masks, much like your grocery store. I believe they are open, selling pumpkins, etc., for Halloween, etc. So, I believe you'll see other produce, too. And their own,…

    Are you dog friendly?

During Pumpkin patch and Christmas tree season, service dogs are acceptable. But, otherwise, they will allow any breed of animal (cat, dog, bird, reptile, etc.), as long as it stays in the cart or owner's arms at all times.

Is the corn maze open on the weekdays in the am?

I believe it is open 7 days a week until Halloween, but just call them to be sure. It is 8 dollars per person, little kids free.

Is the maze fun for adults as well?

Yes. The maze is huge and definitely geared toward adults and accompanied young children

Is this business open in November for the pumpkin patch or is this the last weekend?

    This is the last weekend.

    How much is the entrance?

    Free!

How much are adult tickets ? And is it cash only ? Anyone :)

They do take credit & debit. Rides are $3, the maze is $8.

Do they have the roasted corn this year (2017)?

Yes although I didnt have any I wish I would have It looked great!

    Can I take my pup?

Dogs are allowed as long as you're able to fit them in the shopping carts or holding them.

    Can I bring my dog?

During Pumpkin patch and Christmas tree season, service dogs are acceptable. But, otherwise, they will allow any breed of animal (cat, dog, bird, reptile, etc.), as long as it stays in the cart or owner's arms at all times.

Can someone tell me if the corn maze is actually worth it and how long it takes? Been trying to find a good maze that doesn't just take under an hour to complete.

I personally find the corn maze fun and I think it's worth $8/person. It takes about an hour to complete, although this year my family and I weren't able to find the answer to one of the questions and we decided to exit after an hour and 20 mins…

There is a watch in time piece store. There's an international gift store. There's a dry cleaners and shoe repair. There's a kosher meat store. And I'm not sure what all else but it wasn't just a location for a grocery store. And then I walked into the grocery store and Man was I impressed. The store was laid out beautifully in a very old-school fashion where you could see all the cans in the aisles. The store proudly displayed seafood sign. Meat sign. And fresh vegetables. It was very easy to navigate the aisles as they were not overcrowded with promotional merchandise like most grocery stores. The other thing I like about this stores that you could actually touch the produce. Reminiscent of what you could do before grocery store started wrapping everything in plastic And on top of that I got three porterhouse steaks for $41. That is crazy cheap. This might be the first time I've come to the store in person but it's not gonna be the last.

Like these are one way aisles pretty much unless you are a California size -1. I'm old fat and cranky so parking is the biggest concern of mine and I actually googled which is the Erewhon with the least hassle free parking and this one came up and it's true. There is 90 minute free parking and it's not exactly simple. You have to get a ticket and then you may be double parking someone inside and you have to give some people your keys so if they have to move your car you can't they can. They held onto my keys but did not move my car so I didn't tip them. I wasn't expecting to tip when I went to a grocery store. There's more than one business in the plaza so I think they're employed by them so just be prepared with that and have cash on hand. I did not get the Hailey Bieber smoothie although I was tempted. I've heard mixed reviews and I know it's very expensive and I did not want to spend that kind of money on a smoothie. I didn't like. I did end up getting a bottled peanut butter smoothie and that one cost $14 and it was really delicious. It tasted healthy, but it was really good. I also got some vanilla chai crisps that are in the back corner by the freezer section and those are delicious as well. Those were $6.99 for a bag and honestly, I thought that was reasonable. I did get a strawberry cream dessert. It's all natural and I think vegan or something or other. I don't know. It was really good, from the few bites I had I was going to save it and it melted in my car so hopefully it will taste good tomorrow even if it's not in the shape originally was. I also got some Keylime and Meyer lemon tarts. I tried the lemon one they should be refrigerated which I did not know until I tried to eat them. The lemon one was good. I have not tried the lime one yet. I ended up spending $44 on five items. I just went there to say I've gone there. Would I go there regularly if there was one available to me probably not but I would go occasionally. It just seems now that it's a lot of content creators or people who want to see content creators, or people we're just going there is a tourist. I can't imagine anyone doing their weekly shopping here.

The prices are more than a bit over-the-top (ugly). Whoever designed this store deserves a smack-down. The aisles are so small you have to shimmy past people. And if you are shopping with a cart, good luck to you. Legit the most baffling design choices I've ever seen. This is an example of design that actually effects the shopping experience in a BAD WAY. Total head scratcher. Whoever designed the parking lot for the entire complex is an absolute idiot. If you need to get your cart to your car, there are several issues depending on what area you park in. First up, upon exiting the store there is a curb with no visible ramp so you have to cart-jump the curb to get down to the street level to your car. Then there is a raised planter between parking and the store so that if you are on the other side of it, you have to cart-jump the curb again. Seriously? Total failure in design on both the store and the parking. But hey - 90 minutes free parking so that's a plus. $16 for a smoothie is a little excessive for sure. Was it good? Yes. That said, while I'm happy to pay more for a great selection of organic fruits and veggies, the smoothies aren't that different from one I could make at home or get somewhere else of the same quality but for less. So if you are on a budget or just resent paying $16 for a smoothie on principal, I suggest focusing on your favorite, good stuff at Erewhon which for me is the fruits / vegetables and their outstanding selection of health / beauty products and their prepared food. from the beauty section, I got something called EVERYTHNG OIL based on the recommendation of one of the staff and it is a GREAT product -- truly my skin is transformed -- well worth the $. I also discovered a yoghurt there that I love -- Painterland Sisters -- but I now buy it at Sprouts as it is cheaper there. The prepared food selection is great! Vegan dessert selection - hallelujah! And I'm a big fan of all their vegan options actually - great stuff. I like that they give you a credit for every glass bottle you bring back -- not a small one either. $2 for each bottle! That brings down the cost of those fresh juices I love so I'll take it!! :) So spend some time finding your favorite stuff - this is a place to pick up a couple of things -- not do ALL your grocery shopping. First of all, you don't want a cart in this place -- too hard to navigate. But also, a full shop at Erewhon is 3 times what any other store would cost. But they do have some very excellent products so worth it for those things IMHO but not for EVERYTHING. Also, try to choose a time to go when it's not packed. the store is claustrophobic when full.

The selection honestly exceeded my expectations. The quality of the meat is excellent, and the prices are very reasonable overall. A few items felt a little pricey, but not enough to take away from the experience. I've already been back twice since my first visit. I stocked my freezer with bone-in pork chops, lobster, and several other items, and the pork chop quality alone was enough to make me a repeat customer. I also loved seeing seafood options like orange roughy and red snapper--items that aren't always easy to find or are often sold out elsewhere. Knowing I can run over and grab quality proteins without making multiple stops is a huge plus. Beyond the meat and seafood, I was pleasantly surprised by the pantry selection.
