The Senior Project Manager, Ilan, and Operations Manager, Angela, were extremely professional, very responsive, and straightforward with their quotes and timelines for the work done. They were considerate of our concerns, and also managed a slew of contractors for a complicated job that not only included water damage restoration but also demolition, reconstruction, and installation of a new HVAC system and tankless water heater. On another occasion, I called Ilan and Angela when our home flooded due to a clogged toilet, and they responded quickly, even late at night. They promptly brought wet vacuums, dehumidifiers, and disinfectant to dry out the hardwood floors - which undoubtedly saved us from doing more restoration work by limiting the scope of the damage. When I requested a receipt to use for a SoCal gas Rebate a half year after the water heater project concluded (I know, I'm a procrastinator) - Angela combed through their records and pulled it up for me. I originally requested virtual consultation as advertised for hvac leak for mold and replacement of 3 x 3 wood floors. They said, they are having technical issues with virtual and requested for a live inspection. The day, we have the appointment, the rep of the company called instead of coming at the appointment time to tell me their min would $1.800 for 3 x 3 wood floor without seeing and they won't be installing back the floor which was in original request. Joe came by on a consultation request and he was so brutally honest that I was shocked. It's super common, but those less reputable will take advantage of frightened homeowners, charging thousands of dollars for a "problem" that isn't really a problem. These techs were prompt, polite, COVID respectful, and didn't hesitate to get down in my crawl space to investigate. After a hygienist lab report that looked intimidating, this company was able to give me peace of mind that we don't have an actual issue at all. Had work done on our house shortly after we bought it and the original contractor failed to water proof one of the exterior walls. As a result, we came home from vacation one day to find our wood floors discoloring and buckling. Alarmed, we called Water Damage Zone and Elon, the owner, came out in less than 24 hours to look over the damage and test for mold. When it came back positive he was able to send a team out quickly, finishing the work in about a week. After that, Elon worked with me to arrange for all of the repairs, which were done amazingly, leaving the house water tight and looking brand new. The only thing I would love to have had is a bit more transparency as to when the teams would need access to the house, so be sure to inquire about a schedule! We had a burst pipe in our crawl space and called several companies to take a look. Water Damage Zone was the only one to take the effort to go into the crawl space and check the leak instead of telling us to pay for a few days of fans (at great cost). Water Damage Zone checked the crawl space and told us the area that is wet is very small and will dry up on its own so we don't need to pay for their services to have fans installed because its not required. Simply terrible. I called this morning for emergency service. I was told someone would be there between 11am-12pm. I waited and waited and called to check up at 12:30. I was thentold that they actually couldn't be there until 3pm. Waited and waited again and no one showed up. So disappointing. Update 3/10: They've responded to my above post below. However, everything they're saying is false. I did say there was standing water. Believe me. There was buckets and bucket. Why would I lie? I was urgently trying to get some help out to our home! Our appointment was scheduled. And no one showed. End of story. We have since spent over $8k with a wonderful company and are thankful we worked with a honest and trustworthy company. read more

At 2am I awoke to the sound of gushing water - not a good sign especially considering we were on the 2nd floor of our house. Half asleep and slightly confused I stumbled into the bathroom to discover a pipe had burst and was spraying a full stream of hot water onto the floor. The water was flowing incredibly fast and by the time we were able to shut off the water, the bathroom was a small wading pool with more than an inch of water which had spread to the hallway and soaked into and through the carpet. To make matters worse, the water soaked through the upper level of the house and was streaming through the ceiling and lighting fixtures into the first floor of the house. I called Water Damage Zone and within 20 minutes, a van driven by the owner of the company pulled up with a water pump, blowers, dehumidifiers, etc. He triaged the situation, assessed the damage, took photos and water readings, and set up their equipment in an attempt to stop any potential mold from forming (none ever did). The next day a team from the company came back early in the morning to continue the clean up operation. I was amazed throughout the process at their knowledge, empathy, and professionalism. They helped turn what was a horrible situation into a manageable experience that we can now look back on and laugh. Once the water mitigation process had been completed, we hired their sister company, Best American Builders, to do our repair and reconstruction work.
