After several big storms hit our area, I started noticing some warping along the inside of an upstairs window in my home. Over time, darker spots appeared, hinting at mold. It dawned on me there might be a leak causing all this trouble. So, I searched Yelp and decided to connect with ASAP Restoration and Remodeling, along with a few other companies for a diagnosis. ASAP responded instantly and came to my house right away. Their thorough inspection confirmed my suspicions of mold, but also pointed out that the problem might be more complex than I'd thought (i.e. more than just a leak from around the window). I got a second opinion from another company, and they said that new caulking around the window should solve the problem. Initially, I was overwhelmed. I debated whether to try a simple fix first from another company or trust ASAP to comprehensively diagnose and address any underlying issues. Choosing ASAP Restoration turned out to be a fantastic decision. Abraham and Mendel were transparent about the potential costs and complexities but reassured me that if a simpler solution was possible, that's the route we'd take. Their team meticulously opened the affected walls, found, treated, and eliminated the mold, found the leak and patched it, and then restored everything to its original state. The entire project took about a month. ASAP wanted to finish the job sooner, but my schedule didn't allow for it. Communication was important to me throughout the process. Abraham kept me in the loop about what was going to happen next, when people would need to come over and for how long each day. Workers always arrived on time, which is incredibly rare in this town. PROs: ASAP Restoration took something that seemed simple at the outset, accurately diagnosed the issue, broke the project up into segments with subcontractors, managed the entire project and solved and completely repaired my home. Nothing is cheap, but you absolutely get what you pay for. Outstanding diagnosis, outstanding communication, very easy to work with... and they are just nice people. CONs: The only area for improvement is clerical. The project was divided into 4 distinct parts, each with 3 invoices that I had to fill out, resulting in 12 separate payments and calls from their accounts receivable department. I would have preferred they asked me for my information once in the beginning of the project, and they (not me) filled out each invoice and emailed it to me with a simple "pay now" link. It took me a little while to understand all of this, but I obviously figured this out. This is a simple technology upgrade that would make the whole process a tad easier. BOTTOM LINE: I highly recommend ASAP Restoration to find and fix any leak, restoration, or mold needs (and they can do a lot more than that). They're not just service providers; they're problem solvers who treat your home with the utmost care. They are fair, kind and are committed to quality and making their customers happy. A worker doing maintenance in my home accidently broke a fire sprinkler pipe in my attic, which caused significant water damage throughout the house. ASAP Restoration was called and they arrived within an hour of the accident. A large crew, led by owner Sharon Dahan, immediately got to work removing the standing water. Sharon then tested all areas of the house to determine where there was water damage and promptly removed the affected drywall, ceiling, and carpet. The workers then set up several blowers to dry out the open areas. Their quick work meant that there was no time for mold to grow, which reduced the amount of time needed for remediation.
