This is my second time in the business and it was the same both times. (First time on a Saturday at 7pm, understandably busy. Second time on a Monday at 3 pm.) Both visits, no one greeted me or acknowledged my standing in line. My first visit, I stood in line for 10 minutes and was ignored. The line grew behind me and it was obvious we were waiting to be served. The guy working counter answered the phone many times and rang up their orders with no acknowledgement of those in line right in front of him. The second time I visited, I saw them complete my order (ordered ahead via Yelp!) and no one called my name. I had to ask. Very poor customer service. I will not be back. If you want good boba tea and good service, go to Sarang down the street. They never disappoint. read more

I've already left a review a few month ago, but I want to reiterate how amazing this place is. They are incredibly friendly. We are regulars now, and when I say regulars, I mean within eight months, we've been here over 100 times lmao we've never had any type of complaint. If something isn't correct, it's literally so small that it takes like two seconds to correct, and they're always so chill about it. We are an openly lesbian couple, and we are never nervous to go in here. Even though it's 2022, it's still not safe to be openly gay, and I *think* a lot (at least some) of the staff here are openly gay(queer) as well. Today we had a staff member (won't name whom because I didn't ask permission), draw rainbows on our teas, and it really brightened our day. Great service! They are very patient even with those who have never ordered such things before. I loved my boba, but it did have a bit more milk in it than I would like... (Lactose doesn't stop an asian from getting boba). I always suggest getting milk tea because powders can get grainy and 70% sugar! read more

After several visits, I can attest that the quality of drinks are high at Fun Tea (go for the black sugar latte!) and that the owner and staff are wonderful, but their systems could use considerable improvement and it really impacts the experience. The biggest ongoing issue is efficiency and volume management (not to mention an occasional problem with people picking up other people's drinks from the counter). They struggle with wait times, even at non-peak hours, and appear to lack a prioritization system for in-person and online orders. We frequently order online and their estimated preparation times are consistently inaccurate. Plan to give them at least an additional 15-30 minutes (if not longer) after your estimated time for your online order to be filled. We love having a bubble tea place in the neighborhood, but no dessert is worth the stress. read more

I love Fun Tea! It's located on Bardstown Road and I loving stopping on my way home from school. Every time I come it I get the Thai Pearl Milk Tea and it never fails to be delicious. All of the workers and staff are so sweet and always seem happy to be there creating a great environment for each customer. With the small location, sometimes they ask for you to wait outside, but anything is worth it to get my drink. Along with everything tasting delicious, they give you a punch card where the 10th drink is free. I think that I have filled up about 4 punch cards and I'm still going to get more. I don't think I'll ever get tired of stopping by Fun Tea for a great boba drink! read more

I was not impressed. It took over 40 minutes to get two drinks. They had at least 10 people waiting when I got there and even before the first person got their order, at least 10 minutes had gone by. They only had one person making drinks, another cleaning and making food. The last person was taking orders, but instead of him helping with drinks, he just kept taking orders, even though there were already multiple orders pending from inside and online. I REALLY want to like this place. While everything I've had there is good, everything else about this place is a mess. Their order system is CHAOTIC at best. The wait time is always really long and each time I've been there mistakes were made with multiple orders. During my recent visit, they told me they never got my online order. I was able to show them my receipt and that cleared it up. However, after the initial confusion, they said my order would be right out. I then waited over 35 mins. in the store for the two items I ordered. I watched as the person making my order stopped multiple times to do other things and was in no hurry at all to complete my order. Honestly, I can live with that, but when I finally spoke up for myself, they took absolutely no responsibility for their mistakes and gave multiple excuses as to why it took so long. They kept giving different excuses pushing to get me to say that it was ok. I was polite, but there was no way that was happening. I would have just cancelled my order, but it was suppose to be a special treat for my kids. I wanted to like and support this place, but after multiple attempts and all the mistakes and disappointment, it's definitely not worth the hassle. read more
