    Milk tea

Ambience is very Kentucky. There's a giant horse race mural on the wall which is cute. They also have a merch table and plenty of seating. Service was the best I've ever had. I would come back here just because they were so nice. They were incredible patient, answered all of my questions, gave recommendations, and even gave tips on how to drink them haha. Drink quality was okay. The regular milk tea didn't really have a strong tea flavor like I had hoped but the staff was incredibly nice in adjusting the drink to make it better for me. The Thai tea however is super strong! You can tell that they use real tea for their drinks. We ordered this with a cheese foam cap which was new to us so they taught us the different ways to drink it which I thought was super nice of them. The boba quality itself was normal, not bad but not amazing either They also only had one size (large) but it's not too bad because they were fairly cheap.

This is a pretty cool and happening place. Our grandson loves this place, which makes it a staple in our afternoon tea spots. It helps that the service is good and their offerings are interesting and diverse. Occasionally, there may be a bit of a wait, but it means the place is doing something well, as it enjoys good support from its customers.... and this is ok. I always get my matcha tea, but make sure you ask for it with no sugar, it is still plenty sweet.

The wife ordered a strawberry, kiwi, vanilla ice cream, whipped cream bubble fluff cake. A perfect price/quantity ratio. She also ordered a matcha latte with pearl boba, almond milk, 50% sweet. I ordered a coffee milk tea (Assam black tea), 50% sweet. The lady we ordered from was passionate about their products and even coached the wife on how to eat her bubble fluff cake to optimize the consumption experience. And followed up afterwards. It's nice to see someone who gives a dam every now and then. We'll be back for sure.

Word of advice- even if you're inside waiting in line and it goes 3 minutes past 7:45 pm you will not be getting any bubble cake. They mean it. They won't be allowing you to order any. So you know. I got taro coconut milk tea... I wanted strawberries but the lady suggested the jelly. I didn't care for the jellys. So if I go back I'll get the strawberries. The taro milk was good but couldn't get any without the jellys... so it just went on to the trash. The kid got mango passion fruit tea- she liked it, shahid it was super flower-ful lol but it was okay! She drank almost half of it. We had heard about this place and some questionable stuff.... So I wanted to see for myself. Can't confirm or deny... but hey we can say we tried it!

Ehhh i need to try more flavors because i was not a fan of the one i got which was the honey grapefruit. Bubbles are fairly hard. I should've gone basic and safe with taro so that was my mistake. They have a lot of different flavors which are also less typically asian (tea flavors) in my opinion so if you're into that you may like this place. Plenty of seats to chill here. They also serve eggs cakes. I did not try it but my friend said it was okay.

I love this place. The person collecting orders is really helpful if you don't know what to get because everything is so customizable! Pictured is taro boba latte with their new tiramisu cream top and it's so good! I highly recommend because this is something I haven't seen before. Also a bubble puff cake!! The inside is cute, and there's two little claw machines to play with while they make your order. Highly recommend!

This is an amazing place. Fantastic selection. If you haven't tried bubble tea, you're missing out, and this is the perfect spot to give it a try. Amy and her team are great about walking you through the options and helping you find a selection you'll enjoy. Traditional boba are nice, chewy little bonuses, but branch out--there are popping boba and jellies that are like little flavor bursts, especially in one of the fruit teas...or have even more fun and have some crushed Oreos added to a Taro latte. Or just go classic "tiger sugar" and get the premium black sugar latte. Sweetness and ice levels are adjustable in the various drinks. Tea is not the end of it. The bubble puff cakes are great! Like a sweet, puffier waffle, and you can load up toppings. There are other desserts too that I'll confess I've not had but look delicious. The staff is welcoming, and they'll remember you (and your go to order, if you have one) pretty quickly! The space is fun and welcoming. It can get crowded, but the to-go traffic is pretty heavy, so you can usually find a spot to sit pretty easily if you prefer to hang out. Try it. You won't regret it.

Customer service here is top notch. Mckenzie helped us today and her warmth was extra welcoming in this cold day. The team here is patient and recommends options, offer samples, and explains ingredients without frustration. I can imagine explaining all the options all shift long can be a drag, but they don't show it. We loved our drinks and it helped to be able to try some of the options and find our favorites, try the cheesecake cap on your drink it's rich and wonderful.

We weren't sure what we'd find at Fun Tea but it was a lot more than what we expected. It'll be fun to go through the menu, no pun intended. My husband enjoyed a strawberry milk tea with pearls but I opted for the unique bubble puff ice cream treat. Basically it's a puffy sweet waffle with a couple of scoops of ice cream (I recommend vanilla), choice of syrup (I picked chocolate), whip cream and toppings (I picked my own). You don't get a lot of each topping but it's enough with them combined. The Oreos, M & Ms and cookie dough was okay, but I think the best topping was the strawberry. The cookie dough was covered in chocolate, which made it very sweet. The waffle cone was made fresh and delicious. When I couldn't eat anymore my husband gladly finished it. Besides their variety of teas and boba, I'm excited to try their Taiwanese snow ice. Their menu suggest a few flavor options. Street parking available, but know there will be meters to pay. Toss in extra change for standing in line and ordering the bubble puff. Small space inside but they do have some seating in the back plus a booth along the wall. Menu is easy to scan on your phone while in line.

After spending the past school year in another state, I'm still proud to say that none of the 6+ new boba shops I've tried have topped Fun Tea's boba. The tapioca pearls are just simply the best here, the texture and flavor is unmatched. Their tea tastes like tea and I have only found two shops in the past year that match their quality in tea. I think the ice cream waffles are overrated, but I highly recommend the snow ice instead. I noticed this past visit that Fun Tea now offers ice cream with typical drink toppings so that's cool! Ample amounts of seating, parking can be hard but it's expected with this location. The boba baristas are always nice and helpful if you have questions!

I am a bit of a bubble tea addict. I am super pleased to see a bubble tea scene growing here! This place is snug and cozy, and imagine a great spot during a non covid year. They have pagers to alert you when your order is up. We splurged and bought these cute reusuable drink carriers pictured in this review. The drinks were good, and I like the sweetness is adjustable. I would probably hit the 25% sweetness next time. There specials are pretty fun visually and tasted great! Their bubble treat was pretty well made. The bubble itself was crispy (which i was not expecting being when i had these as a kid they were soft...with a light toast). The fruit was refreshing. I think maybe higher quality ice cream would make this orgasmic in the mouth, but even as is.. the crunch and ice crram with fruit in one bite is super pleasant. Highly recommend!

A miscommunication that had me in the Highlands with about 10 extra minutes to waste before picking up my son from daycare turned into a fortuitous twist of fate when I used that time to stop in Fun Tea, a spot that has been near the top of my list to try out for some time. I admit -- I'm usually a bit of a deer in the headlights when I first visit a boba tea shop. I love boba tea, but there can be so many options. Thankfully there was a clerk at the ready to explain the different parts of the menu to me. This included boba teas, fruit teas, bubble puff cake specials, Taiwan snow ice, smoothies and slushies. I had gone in wanting a bubble puff cake. These look like a bumpy gyro stuffed with candy and ice cream. But knowing how klutzy I am in the best of times, trying to balance an open-face ice cream taco while driving probably wouldn't work well. The clerk recommended the black sugar latte with boba, and I'm so glad she did. This was sweet, caramel-y and walked right up to being too sweet without going over. Mixing that with the boba was a perfect combo. I had to only wait about a minute to get my boba tea, and in that time I noticed the adorable sewn boba tea holders they had for sale. There are a few tables outside as well on the sidewalk. This would be a great place to meet a friend for a socially distant boba break.

I'm always up for a delicious shake to enjoy as a lunch or fulfilling snack. And I definitely…read morereceived a delicious shake from Cardinal Nutrition on Friday. I had only a few minutes to spare, and the man who was working behind the counter was quick to put my shake together and very accomodating. I got the Elvis shake, which has peanut butter and banana, a personal favorite. Both of the flavors came through in this, and it left me feeling full for several hours afterward. The price was $7.50, which was a bit high for a shake, but it also seems like there is a lot of goodness in these shakes. I also saw some exercise balls in the space, and the man who served me said they have workouts here as well. If I was a UofL student, this would be a place I would regularly stop. My husband actually lived around the corner from here when he was in college. I wish this had been here then.

Cardinal nutrition is awesome! Everyone should try this place. The place looks a little sketchy on…read morethe outside, but it's totally normal on the inside. It's walking distance from UofL too. So the whole process is three different steps. It's $7 for the whole thing. First, they give you a mango aloe shooter. I was a little scared to try it but it was surprisingly good. Next, they give you an herbal tea. You can choose between raspberry, peach, or lemon. I don't like tea at all, but these were really good! The last step is choosing your shake. They've got probably over 50 flavors. There's a huge variety like wedding cake, banana nut muffin, blueberry cheesecake, fruity pebbles, Cinnamon Toast Crunch, thin mint and a ton more that were so interesting. I got white chocolate covered strawberry. It's delicious and very filling. I also tried the banana nut muffin and cherry cordial and they were both awesome. The guys working there were so friendly and talkative. They explained everything and gave recommendations. They made us feel comfortable even though we had no clue how the whole process worked. I would definitely recommend this place to anyone!
