My favorite coffee spot in the city! They have Greta tasting coffee and creative seasonal drinks as well as delicious food items that are always different. Creative space with lots of people who work and write in the cafe. Street parking. I always have friendly service too.

Today was my first visit to Safai! We visited to try their new fall menu! They offered 4 signature fall drinks. One was the Casper, The Vulturi, the Frankenstein and the vampire boyfriend! When we got there, the line was to the street. It only took about 10-15 minutes to order and only a few minutes waiting on our drink. There were so many baristas, it went seamlessly! The inside was a bit loud, and because of the long line, the space seemed pretty crowded. However, they do offer outside seating which was nice!

Lovely coffee shop with light bite food options on bardstown road. Street parking available. Plenty of seating inside. Order at the counter. Recommend their breakfast panini with spicy garlic aioli served on the side. Really enjoyed their black magic (white mocha and blackberry) latte and my husband liked their cortado espresso drink.

Lovely coffee shop with delicious food + drink. Quick counter service with lots of indoor seating with comfortable spots to either work or sit and chat with friends. Plenty of street parking. Their seasonal menus are always creative and delicious.

Such a cute spot. There's outdoor seating along the street and a take out window in case you're in a rush. Inside has a bunch of space, either to work or to sit down and chat! They have a seasonal Fall Menu out now and a spooky season menu too - the coffees are adorable. Service was good, people up front were super quick and respectful especially on a Saturday morning when there was a line! Get the "Casper"!

I'm a sucker for holiday drinks so I had to stop in and try out their fall menu!! First, it was immediately cozy-vibe central and our barista was super friendly. I ordered a (iced) Cinnamon Roll Chai and while it was good - it's definitely on the sweeter side. I ended up adding a shot of espresso to balance it out. My friend ordered a (hot) Blueberry Pancake Latte with 1/2 the sweetness and she really enjoyed it.

Hands down the best matcha latte I've had. The inside is very cozy and cute, will definitely be going back

This place is great. The service is always quick and friendly. We had some order issues one day when it was busy, but they were very quick to fix the issues. There's plenty of space to sit to meet with others or work alone. The breakfast burrito was tasty and I love their coconut brown sugar latte they had.

I was in town on business and made plans to co-work with a teammate here for a while. It was their recommendation and I enjoyed every bit of it. Free parking, check! Cute patio, fireplace, and alcoholic drinks too, triple check! And it doesn't stop there. Service was great, wifi was strong, and food/drinks were spot on. I ordered a latte and a breakfast burrito, propped up in a corner near an electrical outlet, and got shit done. I love how big the space was and the variety and seating options. At one point I was sitting on the floor by the fireplace on my laptop and it was cozy as can be. Good vibe all around. I'll definitely be back.

Safai is such an under-the-radar coffee spot. This was confirmed during my most recent visit. Why am I not here more often?!? But the biggest reason for updating my review: Safai has updated its menus. Gone are the crepes! *sad face here* But in its place are now pastries from La Pana Bakery. It would take something great to make up for those crepes. La Pana is just that something. (La Pana is also at Logan Street Market, which is owned by the same owners Safai. Love that local business love and partnership between these two.) Safai also has taken out the long table in the front of the coffee shop and has added more accessible seating. And same as before, the coffee is great as well as the playlist. Safai is also a great place to work and talk to someone over a cup -- a great multi-use coffee shop. Safai is the real deal! As always, questions for readers: What is your good-for-all-things coffee spot?

The baristas always give me some attitude which is what makes me know that I'm at the right place for a great cup of coffee.

All the drinks sounded so tempting, it was hard to choose one. I settled on Demeter's Joy, which was a cold brew with peach syrup, splash of milk and mango-infused cold foam. The idea of this drink was incredible, but it lacked on execution. To be fair, the poor barista was in the weeds trying to take orders & make all of the complicated drinks. Someone came in to help out after about 10 minutes of us waiting, but it still took another 5 minutes or so for the drink to come out. I took one sip, and was highly disappointed. It tasted more like chemicals than it did coffee. My sense is the combo of syrups was too much for my palate -- I don't usually order sweet coffee but occasionally I get sucked in. For nearly $7 including tip, I wouldn't order this again. I would be willing to give this place another shot given the clear popularity and fun location. They have seats at the bar, but since it's expertly positioned at the entrance, you can grab your coffee and leisurely walk around the market.

I was so pleased to see that Safai was available for my after lunch coffee and that it is roasted on site! The barista (sorry that I cannot remember her name) was so very knowledgeable and helpful with finding suitable substitutions for my dietary needs. She created a delicious cold brew latte for my enjoyment. I tasted my husband's hot coffee concoction and it was delicious too. They also have a wonderful selection of teas for those who prefer tea to coffee. There are numerous places to sit within the market and non-metered parking is available on neighborhood streets.
