Very unimpressed with how they look as if they just rolled out of bed and act like they are hungover or something. I really wish id thought to read these reviews prior to booking a party here. Waste of money. They charge you 50 dollars (and this is the cheapest party) plus 10 dollars ea child up to 8 children. Because I have three children I was limited to inviting only their 3 closest friends & siblings. For the 50 dollars we only got a reserved table & a pizza (8 slices) they literally are so cheap they only provide you with 8 plates, 8 napkins & a warm pitcher of juice. Lemonade is what we choose & they clearly made it in the back in two seconds. Never added ice or anything. It costs 14 ex dollars to order an other pizza so the kids could have more than one slice & so the parents could eat. It would have cost me 54 dollars had I just paid for the kids to play & then we could have gone out to pizza afterwards. As for the owner, although the staff was super nice, she was rude. My mother in law purchased a gift card for me to use towards the boys bday party or to go play. She was sold individual play cards & told they were worth 10 dollars a piece. It's a long story but after lots of phone calls & questions I got to the party & was told I could not use them as they said I could for the food or the deposit. I was also told by the owner over & over that the cards had no cash value. To which I asked why would you sell my MIL these then knowing that she'd be paying 4 dollars more for me to take my kids here if I used 3 cards at once? ($10 first child, $8 for siblings although even there they've gotten greedy & are increasing prices starting soon) the owner is young & clearly not from the era of the customer is always right. I made sure they knew exactly what gift cards I had & instead of saying oh i didn't realize it was those but that's ok well honor it cause that's what we told you, she just kept arguing with me & making it seem as if I was in the wrong. People realize that your customers having parties may have a budget for those parties! She eventually just worked it out but was so clearly pissed off about it that it just ruined the next half hour for me. On top of that I apologized & thanked her for being accommodating & she never looked up or acknowledged me. So disappointing. I'll be looking for a new place to give my money. Perhaps a place that cares about making a good impression. The play structure is awesome but the 3 & under section is not really good for walkers. My 1 yr old was bored in minutes. I also have a bad back & the couches are all horrible. The review that it looks as if a circus animal smashed them is not an exaggeration. Went to take my kid here and prior to arriving I purchased drinks from 7-11. I was told I couldn't bring the drinks in because they weren't brought from home. I looked in the play area and observed people with coolers, food, and drinks. When i asked what the difference between my energy drink and their bottled water i was told they brought it from home. I was told not everyone can afford to buy drinks so they let people bring in stuff if its from home. I was told if i want something to drink I could purchase drinks from their snack bar. I asked if I could keep the drink on the bar in the front area where there was a water bottle already placed. I was then told that is an employees drink and I couldn't keep my drink in the same area. I was told either throw it away or leave in my car. There is a double standard here, either have a no food and drink policy or don't. They would rather lose a customer then allow a 2 dollar drink in. Go to urban jungle they don't sweat the small stuff like a 2 dollar drink crossing into the play area. read more

Booked a private party (basically the entire place) for my daughters 2nd birthday. Adult to kid ratio was maybe 3 to 1, at around 130 total guests. Layout of the place is really accommodating to adults since there are tables all around and plenty of space. Both play areas can accommodate adults as well. Some of my adults probably had more fun racing through the larger obstacle area than the kids themselves. The staff team of Emily, Daisy, and Saba made it really easy. They really only asked questions when really needed (e.g. 1 of your guests forgot socks, did you bring any extra otherwise we will go through our normal protocol...) and were really thoughtful to ask in the first place. They refilled our food (e.g. mini donuts from box into the little stand we had on display and broke down and/or consolidated pizza boxes) and sliced our cake and helped facilitate the timing. During the party they even went through to wipe down sweat. I only found out about this place because my nieces hosted their birthday here a few months ago. Compared to other somewhat similar sites, the pricing (~$975) was actually a better value. I will definitely host a private party here again. read more

Very fun place to bring your little or bigger kids. My daughter loves to come here and play. It is clean and offers a good amount of sitting space either couches or chairs and tables. They also offer free Wi-Fi which is nice. The decor is cute and the facility is clean. They have a snack bar which offers sandwiches, drinks and other snake type foods. I recently came here for a birthday party. I've been to other places like this but this one was different because it was like a big indoor playground. When you go inside, there's a front desk where you check in along with the kids you go there with. You sign a liability waiver for injuries. The place is pretty big. They have tables and a good amount of seating areas in the front and on the sides. There's a toddler section where they can play and an older kids section. The older kids section is the big area where they can go inside the play area and go down slides, jump in the ball pit and climb up and everywhere. They also had a sports area where you could play basketball or soccer. It was my first time here and it was a good experience. It was different from the other places I've been to that are like this place. I think this would be fun to have a birthday party here for kids that are around 4-10 years old. read more

play structure and area not a big as I would have thought. my suggestions are as follows: 1. everyone needs to leave the shoes off not just some of the people. staff not paying attention to that fact and I pointed it out several times. several persons kept shoes on the entire time I was there. 2. kids do not need to scream at the top of their lungs. no screaming would be a nice suggestion. 3. adults should not be allowed in/on the play structure. if the several month old child cannot manage to be on their own then they should be in the small child area. adults take up too much space where the kids are. this is not a place for babes in arms. 4.kids do not need to be running everywhere. falling/crashing in to each other is surely not a good thing and should not be tolerated. you cannot run at a public pool and it is not appropriate behavior for here. 5. all staff should be energetic and helpful not just some of them. walking around yawning as you are touring the space is not a good idea. this atmosphere needs a certain type of enthusiastic employee. the smoothies and the malts are just tops. the price is very very fair. I had a BLT and the bacon was not cooked as it should have been and rather than fuss I just tossed it. it was close to raw. the service at the café is very fast and very pleasant. the room was uncomfortably warm and when I asked for it to be cooler I was told, very politely, that the air conditioning units were to be worked on tomorrow and I have to say it really was quite hot outside. I am very curious as to how the attendance will be once it is off of groupon. the 9 yr old and the two 11 yr olds all thought it was a successful outing. they have socks available for you to buy if you don't know about the sock rule. I didn't and the socks were good quality and a fair price. someone mentioned they brought their own food but that is not allowed. the café is where you get the food. read more

I was going back and forth between 2 and 3 stars and decided to settle on 3. So the good point is that my son (27 months) loves to climb up and down and venture into the ball court as well as the play structures they have. He is fully capable of climbing up by himself, however, I have to go in with him because of the lack of supervision of other mothers/fathers/caregivers/staff of the children. A lot of the caregivers just think they can dump their kids off and fiddle around on their computers and phones and not even check to see how their kids are behaving. I get it that children will bump into one another, so forth and so on, but to blatantly push my son on the ground in front of my face and pull him down while he is climbing up is unacceptable. The only reason I continue to go back is to use the rest of my groupon, because like I said, my son does like it when he's not getting hurt by other kids. I have actually had a kid push me in my stomach at 7 months pregnant to get by me and my son. I definitely think there needs to be at least 1 staff member monitoring how the kids are behaving, especially in the ball court as kids are extremely aggressive in there as well. After our group on gets used I doubt I will be going back-try the Play Town in El Cajon instead. read more

I honestly do not understand all the negative reviews about this place. I took my 26-month-old today and she had a BLAST. Everything was very clean and in working order. There was no weird smell about the place (certainly not urine as some said) and parents were supervising their children. The only complaint I have (which really isn't a complaint) is that the staff could have been friendlier. They weren't rude; they just didn't go out of their way to be friendly. Other than that, this place gets an A+ from me. I could tell my daughter enjoyed herself more here than she does at the other indoor playgrounds I have taken her to. read more

The staff was friendly but they pay no attention to what is going on inside their facility. My daughter is 2 and they have an area for kids under 3 with a sign that says that right there plain as day and aside from the other parents paying no mind and letting children 5x the size of my daughter play in there the staff said nothing to enforce the rules which I was really annoyed about. It's fairly simple and they charge way too much to get in for what they have to offer. Overall cleaner than I expected but we will for sure go somewhere else next time. read more

I really love this place! I think the negative reviews must be by people who went during crowded times like on the weekends, holidays or maybe after school. I have always gone in the mornings and it's great! Not a lot of kids and the kids that are there are younger (not school age) so I'm not worried about my little one. I don't feel like I need to follow him around and make sure he's okay. They also have a gate at the front that is locked so kids can't escape and that's nice for my active kid. I would not go here on the weekend or holiday because I would not feel comfortable with the amount of kids or the older kids. A typical visit for me would be to find a table near the front with the lunch I bring in for my toddler. Then I get a chai tea and sometimes a sandwich from their cafe and either try to read a book or chat with a friend. They just got new couches so if my newborn wakes up I'll move to the couch to nurse. If I have a friend there to help watch my baby I will go in the play structure with my toddler to play for a little bit (the slides are fast!). The staff is young but I like them- if they hear a kid cry, they will come out right away and see what's wrong and if there is anything they can do to help. This is one of the few places I have felt comfortable venturing out alone with a toddler and newborn. read more

Happily purchased Groupon at a good price to take my daughter and her friend on a Saturday afternoon. Website clearly says open until 6pm. We arrived at 2:40 to be told that the place is closing at 3pm today. No notice on the website about early closing. We wasted some gas, 45 minutes round trip in the car, and now we have two tickets that we hopefully can use at a later date. Advice: If you run a business with a website, make sure your site has accurate info. Customers rely on it. read more

As far as cleanliness I have witnessed the staff keeping this place sanitized, they literally take out every ball from the ball pit and wipe each one down while scrubbing the inside. Which I like. If the 3 and under rule is implemented for that small area it can be a really awesome place for the kids, but can admit I've had a couple of unattended "big kids" trample my toddler before. It does seem as if parents come here to stare at their phones and not watch their children, but that's not necessarily the facility fault and aside from that the place is great, the sandwiches and coffee are good and my kids love it. Planning on trying the "semi-private" party for my toddlers birthday coming up but am nervous because of how packed the place can get on the weekends. Will see how that goes read more

My biggest complaint was the staff not imposing the illness policy. Kids with disgustingly green snotty noses run around wiping ooze on everything and staff members see it and don't say anything or have the parent and child leave. Parents tend to sit all day reading and let their kids run wild yet there are no staff members on top of the structure for supervision. As the parent you're the supervision so if you go make sure you can climb into the structure with your children. The carpets are nasty and aside from the play structure itself there's nothing really for kids to do so they run wild and crazy. The no food policy is purely so you buy their food and its all Costco snacks with jacked up prices; this place screams "lets make profit." I will not return. read more

I have to say I find some of the reviews a little ridiculous We love this place Its always clean and tidy on busy days you maybe see crackers etc on the floor but it's never for very long as the staff are always wandering about with a mini vacuum. other parents can be a little lazy when it comes to watching their own kids but I can't blame that on the staff , who I always find helpful and friendly whenever one of my kids have a problem. My favorite thing is they put new sofas in the old ones were getting a little lumpy but now I'm happy to sit for as long as it takes for the kiddos to burn off that extra energy. read more

GAG! When this place first opened it was great! but its going downhill fast. My sister booked a party which is already overpriced and we ended up doing all the work. For starters we arrived at 10am only to wait because noone was there with a line of our friends and just regular customers. We are supposed to have a "party helper" and she was MIA the WHOLE time. We had to ask for drinks for the kids ask for napkins. The party room was FILTHY, the floor was sticky all the parents were complaining it was 100% not cleaned from the day or even week before. The attendants that were there here is some advice WASH YOUR SHIRTS!! they all look like slobs and then you see them behind the counter making the sandwiches with NO GLOVES gross! hygene people! The bathrooms were not stocked with any tp, paper towels or soap. I alerted the staff twice and still nothing was done. If I could give this place 0 stars I would. My husband took my two children to this place as a reward for good behavior. It took my children weeks to earn this reward. My husband checked the website and made sure that there was not a private event scheduled so that my children would have plenty of time to play. He arrived at 2:15 with our two eager children and was told that there was a private party at 3:00. My husband explained that it is not listed on their website and that because the kids would only have 45 minutes to play that he would like a discounted play rate. The owner still charged him $7 per kid!! She admitted that the calendar was not accurate but refused to discount the entrance any further. I called to speak with her because I could not believe that any business owner would act this way when in fact they had not kept their calendar updated and I received the same answer. I asked her if she were in my husbands position would she feel that $14 was an appropriate charge for 45 minutes and she would not answer the question. Because my children were so excited to finally earn their reward my husband did not have the heart to deny them the 45 minutes, however we will NEVER go back again. This was our second visit to Funbelievable. The first visit was great...no complaints. But things have definitely gone downhill. The new "sock policy" is ridiculous. I was told that the purpose of the sock policy is to create a more sanitary environment. I feel it's highly unlikely that there is any real difference, especially when you have customers, both children and adults, going in to use the bathroom in socks. Are you kidding me? Anything and everything on the bathroom floor is then transported to the main room, much more so than it would be on the sole of a shoe since the bottom of your shoe doesn't absorb urine. However, my biggest complaint is in regards to one of the employees. When I tried to explain that I could only wear a sock on one foot due to a medical condition which causes me to get blood clots she was completely rude. At one point I was confused about her saying the my shoes shouldn't be on the floor. Um...what, am I supposed to hold them or what? In the end she said, "Whatever!", sounding just like a smart-mouthed teenager. Oh, wait....she WAS smart-mouthed teenager. When we were getting ready to leave I wanted to speak with a manager about this employee, but this same exact girl didn't want to let me talk to the manager unless I told her what it was about. She wouldn't even tell me if there was manager available. She kept saying that she was a supervisor. When I asked who supervised her, she started being smart again. Finally, I got to speak to a manager, and although she was apologetic, she was mostly concerned that I understood the reasons for the sock policy. In the end, when I told her Funbelievable was definitely getting a poor review, she tried to change my mind by giving me free return passes. NO THANK YOU. read more

My children and I, as well as my friends, absolutely love this place. We have been going since it opened some years ago and was pretty much empty all of the time. Since then, they've added more seating areas and the coffee/snack bar and lots more people seem to know about it. Now, I've never gone on the weekend and I do try to avoid busier times, since the empty times is when we've enjoyed it the most. We once went during spring break and it was absolutely packed, therefore it was chaos, so we left early (keep in mind, we've been to this place maybe 15-20 times). The same thing would happen if going to a playground, beach, amusement park during a busy season. Yes, there will be parents who don't watch their kids. You'll find that everywhere. I don't think that's something unique to Funbelievable. I've found the staff to be friendly and watchful. They don't always intervene when children are being disrespectful to others, but this is not a babysitting service, that is the parents' responsibility, in my opinion. I have had to speak to kids about their behavior because of parents who don't seem to care and then I just tell lmy kids to avoid the areas where the offending child is, just like I would do if we encountered that same situation at an outdoor playground, Chuck E. Cheese, etc. As for cleanliness, the area I was in last time I went (2 weeks ago) was vacuumed 3 times. I also saw a girl scrubbing different play areas at different times of the day. She used sprays, towels, and some scrubbing brush. There have been times where the bathroom needed attention and I just mentioned it to one of the employees and they took care of it immediately. In conclusion, I do love this place and so do my kids. Their eyes light up every time I say we're meeting friends there. Can it get crowded? Yes. Is everyone watching their own kids? No. Do we leave early if there are too many unsupervised kids? Yes. Do you have to watch your own children? Absolutely. Same rules that apply anywhere else. Do my kids have fun every single time? This place is fun IF you can get in. They shut the place down if a party is booked. So if you plan a playdate at any time for your child it could be closed. I have planned play dates and gone there just to find it closed for a private party. I was told today that the play date I want to plan for next Sunday is not possible because they are closed for a private. So, I asked if they were available the following Sunday and was told they were, but that I would have to check the website the day of my planned play date because if someone booked on Saturday for Sunday they would close down. So realistically when you plan a play date, you have to HOPE that when you get there they did not close down for a private party. They should have set hours for closure for private parties. They are not customer friendly, rather they are corporate friendly. If you can get a group of friends together that can leave at the last moment to go have fun all is good, but that is not reaistic. The most disturbing part is letting your kids down when you can't get in. Instead of calling it Funbelievable they should call it Fly By The Seat of Your Pants. read more

My 3 year old wants to have a party with just 3 friends. I thought this would be the perfect place. All four of us mothers are working mothers and work until 5:30-6:00 at night on the weekdays. I was wanting to have his little party on a Saturday. This establishment will not allow for us to come in on a weekend with that small of a party, even if we paid. We would not be allowed to bring in cupcakes or open presents.... from 3 kids. Absolutely horrible and definitely not working family friendly. When I was a stay at home mom, this place was awesome. Now that I'm a working mom, I have a different opinion. They claim they are a working family friendly establishment because they are open late one night a week, which is Friday. So by the time we all picked up our kids, made it to the play place and set up for a party, our 3 year olds would be tired and ready for bed. Thanks, but no thanks.
