Czech Pilsner. From a can but delicious.
    Mike K.

Stopped by on a bike ride on the Crabtree Creek Trail. Not far from it. Five for the beers. Had the Dunkel and the Czech Pilsner. Super casual, local good beer place. Definitely not fancy and decorated on a budget, but that is the appeal. Not a commercial cookie cutter-we-have-a-dozen-places-just-like-it kind of place- a real local place with just good beer and great service. Did I mention the solid mugs? This ain't no 'plastic cup because we are too cheap/ don't trust the drunks with glass' kind of place. You get a real beer glass/ mug. It is small and on a nice day you won't get a spot outside. But if you want to go to a mega brewery go there. This place Is convenient but at the end of a bad road. One I will take again!

Wow, I can't believe that this place is a breweries. But it is. So gif you do a left turn on an abandoned neighborhood (not exactly) it is the right spot. They are famous for their sour ale n slushy. And they don't disappointed. If you would like to have a fun drink nearby, fun guys is your spot. A must visit brewery in Raleigh.

**Beware of Google maps, it can make this spot tricky to find. When you are on Wake Forest Road turn onto Hodges Street then a right onto Paula Street.** So why the name Funguys Brewing? Yeast is what makes a beer and is a fungi hence the name funguys [plus they are fun guys]. There are currently four beers on tap so I tried a flight which consisted of the Peace Dude, Campfire Session Stout, Nothing New and New Venture. If these selections do not peak your interest, they have four guest taps currently. My personal favorite was the New Venture, a NE IPA. This brewery will be brewing up a variety of beers in the near future. The owners are chill plus they are hop heads, just like me. I can't wait to see what they are brewing up next. Welcome to the area!

What an awesome little brewery. They have an extensive selection of hazy IPAs. As a huge fan of IPAs, this immediately made me like the place. They also have alcoholic smoothies, which are surprisingly delicious. The place is pet friendly, allowing dogs indoors and outside (provided they're well behaved, of course. The owner (or co-owner) is an extremely personable lady who makes you feel welcome the second you walk through the doors. There's a 3 or 4 picnic table area, surrounded by a wooden wall/planter with a variety of colorful flowers atop it. It gives the patio/picnic table area an atmosphere of peace and privacy. My only complaint is that their canned beers are outrageously priced (similar to Burial's cans of beer) but unfortunately that's to be expected with any small brewery. That aside, this is in my top three favorite breweries in Raleigh. Absolutely recommend anyone who enjoys beer give this place a try. I doubt you'll be disappointed.

Fantastic place! If you want a delicious beer, go no further. The Sandbox Kid New England IPA is one of the best I've had. Be careful with the Texas Fold Em Farmhouse, 9.7% ABV, and is as smooth as the Pamlico River, a great spin on a Belgian classic. Carly is the coolest bartender, super personable, my wife and I talked to her for hours.

I was actually a little nervous going in because certain Chinese dishes tend to upset my stomach, so I tried to avoid some of the heavier noodle and chicken dishes that normally do that to me. Honestly, I think that was the best decision because I thoroughly enjoyed my meal and felt completely fine afterwards. I started with the crab rangoons, which were perfectly creamy on the inside and crispy on the outside -- absolutely delicious. Then I tried the pork-filled bao buns, which was my first time ever having them, and I was pleasantly surprised by how much I enjoyed them too. Everyone else at our table seemed to really enjoy their food as well. I genuinely didn't hear a single complaint. We also ordered some drinks that were delicious, and both our server and the rest of the staff were absolutely fantastic and very welcoming throughout the night. The atmosphere and vibes inside are honestly one of the coolest parts of the experience. It somehow feels like a mix between a brewery, a florist, a bookstore, and a Chinese restaurant all at once. It's such an interesting and unique space that doesn't really feel like anywhere else. Overall, this was a great experience, and I would absolutely come back to try more items on the menu.

I stopped in just a they were opening on a Friday and thank goodness I showed up when I did, this place gets packed quick and you should book a reservation to be on the safe side. I was most excited about the duck egg rolls but ended up being my least favorite not because they were slightly on the dry side. Flavor was good, and the hoisin honey sauce really helped! The seafood dumplings were second best, stuffed full. The soup based was amazing and it also came with some bread for dipping in the leftover sauce. The pork and chive shumai were my favorite! A little bit bigger than bit sized but worth the mouth full! Absolutely would recommend. I'll 100% be back for more food. The bar side looked to be more casual, the dinning room was full of high tea attire so I did feel a little under dressed, thought it would be slightly more casual. They have the cutest library with free books to read but only while you dine in. The flower and book shop are in the middle of the space. Super cute, limited options but great for a last minute bouquet!

The service is always fun and i enjoy the open atmosphere. This Belgian-inspired brasserie continues to be one of my go-to destinations for great food, craft beer, and one of the best Painkillers in town. My must-order dish is always the crispy beer-battered pollock paired with their perfectly seasoned truffle fries. The fish is light, flaky, and fried to golden perfection, but the real star might be their housemade tartar sauce--it's absolutely addictive. A few other standouts from our table included: Savory risotto topped with seared shrimp and blistered tomatoes The NRBC Juicy Burger loaded with onion straws and beer cheese Every dish was packed with flavor, and it's easy to see why this spot remains a local favorite. Whether you're stopping in for a craft beer, cocktails, or a hearty meal, this is a place that's always worth the visit.

I've also been to the Durham location, check out the review if you want to know more. Panysaurus over all is a very cool place (either location) but they have drastically different vibes - which in my book is a good thing. The Raleigh location has a smaller footprint and doesn't have the same outdoor patio vibe. The dinning area is a bit small but turn around is quick and there is plenty of space to stand and socialize if you're just there for the beer. I really love Ponysaurus beer, their pilsner is nice but their kolsch is my favorite. The Raleigh location menu has lots to choose from, we had a margarita pizza with pepperoni, hummus and wings. I can't recall what was in the hummus but we practically licked the bowl and the wings were a big hit too - note the Durham menu is a bit scaled down but one thing that's consistent with both locations is the amount of pita that came with the hummus. There is nothing worse than getting a huge bowl of hummus and only a few pieces of hummus or chips. Both locations knocked it out of the park - plenty of WARM pita for everyone. Service was great, we did't wait long and the tables were turned over quickly. They use a mobile app for ordering food which makes ordering fast and efficient and the food is delivered to your table - which I must note came out very fast.

This…read morespot has the perfect laid-back vibe for a weekend meal, plus an unbeatable view of downtown Raleigh, seriously, if the weather's nice, try to sit on the patio! We had a 70 degree surprise January day while we were there, so we did just that. We started our brunch with a couple of drinks: a bloody mary and an iced coffee. The bloody mary had a nice kick. Just the right amount of spice without going overboard. The iced coffee was smooth, not bitter at all, and honestly a great pairing if you're not in the mood for booze. To start, we shared the Dill Pickle Pimento Cheese with ripple-cut fries. I'm a sucker for pimento cheese and this one was outstanding. The dill relish gave it a tangy, fresh twist that worked so well with the creamy cheese. Scoop it up with those crispy ripple fries and you're golden. It's a shareable appetizer, but honestly, I'd come back just for that. For my lunch, I had the Chicken Caesar Pita. This isn't your average Caesar wrap. It was tasty, I wasn't expecting the chicken to be pulled, but it was pull juicy, marinated chicken, tons of Tuscan kale for a hearty bite, and generous shavings of parmesan. The charred Caesar dressing brought it all together with that smoky, savory flavor. The pita bread held everything nicely without getting soggy, and the portion was just right: filling, but not overwhelming. Service was super friendly and paced perfectly, not rushed, but never left waiting. Menu options looked creative and inclusive, with plenty for vegetarians and craft beer lovers, too. We had a great experience and I'll definitely be recommending it to friends who are going to Raleigh!
