The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. However, that's not always a bad thing. The Fox is probably my favorite part of living in the small city of Banning, CA. It's located on Ramsey Street, so the surrounding area has that rustic/Art Deco look, and the exterior of this theater shares that aesthetic. It was recently remodeled as part of a city preservation project, and it looks really neat. I love the vibe walking up to the small three-screen theater. However, what really makes this theater appealing is not it's appearance, but the affordability. You can see new releases for $5.50, with matinee prices set at $4! You really can't beat that. The screens have all been upgraded to 4K resolution, so although they certainly aren't as large as other theaters, the image quality is crisp and vibrant. It's definitely not a huge theater, so it's not as epic an experience as going to a Regal or AMC, but like I said, you get what you pay for. For five bucks, you couldn't ask for anything better!

Where to start...Our experience was really good. The place was very clean and well kept. The theater we were in, #3 was very small but cozy. The other two theaters are much larger and had better sound. Consession prices are reasonable but It is the ticket prices are incredible. $4.00 for matinee and $6.00 for evening shows. This place is in a great place to see a movie before or after a meal at Morongo Casino.

Just showed our support for our favorite local movie theater!!! We love both the Fox and Mary Pickford theater!! So happy you guys are in our community!!!!

Bathrooms are small , seats are stiff. But Wednesdays 3.00 tickets all day every other day is 4 before 5pm and 6.00 after 5pm snacks are cheap and place gets full quick on the weekends.

Been here one time. It is cozy and quaint. If I had to go again, I would for a small event or showing.

Cheap $4 afternoon ticket but this old building reeks of foul odor that hits you in the face the moment you step inside the theater!

Does this theater offer closed captioning for the hearing disabled?

I'm not sure, but I don't think so because I've never seen anything about the option at the theater, or on the website.

    What are present movies showing?

We went to see The Mandalorian and Grogu during a matinee, and I was expecting it to be crowded, but it turned out to be pretty relaxed. Matinee tickets were $12.95 each, which felt reasonable. They also offer IMAX, but at $25 per person, it felt a bit too pricey for me. Inside, I noticed about five staff members, and everyone we interacted with was friendly and provided good customer service. The theater itself was clean, and the recliner seats were comfortable and in good condition, which made the experience more enjoyable. The concession stand was well stocked, though prices were on the higher side--but that's pretty standard for most movie theaters. Overall, it's a clean, comfortable, and convenient local spot to catch a movie without having to travel far.

We ended up just walking in after waiting a few minutes in fear of missing our movie. If you ever wanted a free IMAX showing, this may be the place for you! The view from my seat (G11) was fine, although a few inches of screen at the bottom were cut off from view once reclined comfortably. Shorter people may have it worse (I'm 5'7"). I wish I took a picture of my chair though - nasty with popcorn & food leavings stuffed into every crevice possible with a torn/weathered seat. I dedicated some time trying to clean it off but still felt gross to stew in that for 3 hours. The audio for The Odyssey was horrificly loud and was one of the worst experiences ever. I had to genuinely plug my ears about half the time, it was deafening. The trailers were like that, too. When walking out, there was no talk from other viewers about the movie, only about how loud it was. I swear I levitated from my seat from the unnecessary bass. I drove out over 30 miles and doubt I'll ever return.

It was the only place near us showing the Short Film Nominees for Oscars. We watched the Animated Shorts which was the top 5 internationally and 1 bonus film. My favorite was Butterfly with its watercolor and my husband's was The Girl Who Cried Pearls which played like a short story of old. We sat next to some lively seniors who kept us laughing with their commentary during the previews. If you plan to go see the Animated Shorts, be aware two are not appropriate for younger viewers due to themes (the last two and they give you a warning beforehand) We knew we'd like the Harkins because we are regulars at the one in Chino, but tahdah! This one has a bar! We did not order anything because we had our minds made up to go to a cocktail bar afterwards (plus we wanted to stay awake for the movie). But it's cool .

I showed up to see a movie with my deaf friend. The staff didn't even know what closed captioning was. Finally, one of the more diligent of the two, found some virtual reality glasses in a closet somewhere. These were a reasonably high-tech solution for closed captioning. But no one knew how it worked, the manager was not on site, and the worker that tried to help had no confidence in the system. He did offer to activate open captions for the movie, but said we would have to wait for the manager. Everyone on duty in the movie theater should be able to accommodate a disabled guest. No one should have to wait for a special employee to arrive. Eventually, we just left. I had high hopes for this theater after reading the reviews. But clearly they do not accommodate the disabled.
