Smells like urine, movie started at 2:15 and it's currently 2:50 and movie still hasn't started, just staring at a black screen with my 4 year old, can't even call the theater to tell ask them if they forgot to start movie, in the alley theater so I don't want to go see what the hold up is (I shouldn't have to). The seats have a spring action that may 4 year old can't keep down so the seats basically fold in on her so I have to sit with my leg on her seat which is hard when the arms don't go up and for a whole movie?! read more

The most amazing small theater I've ever been to. Went recently with my husband to watch Alien: Romulus and I was blown away. Clean, parking nearby, easy to get to, and wow. I felt like a little kid going for the first time. Nice inside and seats were comfy. I enjoyed the movie with their popcorn and large drink special, so well priced. I recently moved up to Riverside county from San Diego and it feels nice to have found my new theater. I can't recommend this place more. They told me they will be closing soon for renovations and my heart sank. Hopefully they are up and running again soon because this is one business I'm happy to support. Quaint theatre built in 1928 that has 3 screens. It was originally a one screen theatre. You can't beat a movie for $5/$6 nowadays. Old school charm in a small town. read more

Imagine driving down a non-residential, dark road where the majority of the businesses appear to be abandoned, with the exception of a few liquor stores that remain open. Then there's the bright neon light Fox Cineplex D'Place. The parking lot is on the side of the building and is pitch black with few cars. The movie theater is cozy and clean. There were two shows playing. The admission price is $6.50, which is extremely cheap. There was only one friendly employee working at the time. There is another couple in the theater beside us. There is a sense of unease throughout the movie. There was no worker visible when the movie ended. This is a scene straight out of a horror film. read more

My family and I finally get a day together to have fun. We are watching a movie and we can hear the employee talking. She is so loud I can't tell if she is on a phone call or helping someone . Either way oh my gosh! Rude! Literally her voice is carrying over the movie! Im so disappointed. Our family movie day has turned into hearing the employee just talk and talk and talk. The past couple times I was here, even though lines were long, the staff made sure it moved surprisingly fast! Also, even though their snack bar menu's very simple, their hot dogs and popcorn's great! The only complaint I really have (other than having to make the long walk to the alley theater (reserved for movies that are on their way out), would be that I hope they fixed their AC inside since I saw Spider-Man a few weeks ago. Let's not beat around the bush: For those who don't already know, Beaumont is getting a 10-12 screen (luxury?) theater; whether or not it's going to hurt the Fox in the long-run will depend on whether or not they try and do things that will set themselves apart from that new theater coming next year. The Fox's low prices are already a great pro for them, but it's going to be a bit difficult because most movies (unless they're super popular) only last a week here. My suggestion would be to perhaps occasionally have screenings for old-school movies in one of the theaters, or maybe host a small film festival for local filmmakers. It would give the Fox a sense of community for Banning/Beaumont, and I think it would keep people coming to this place, long after CinemaWest opens. In other words, be different from the bigger/nicer theater, instead of competing directly against it. read more

This is my new favorite theater. In fact, I really don't want to go to any others at all! #1 TAKE CASH. They only accept cash here. Ticket prices are super cheap! I paid $4 for my ticket!!! The snack bar is reasonably priced as well. The theaters themselves have new seating. It's comfy but the seating isn't stadium seating, that's the only drawback. This was my first visit since it became D'place Fox. I had not gone to the theaters in a year plus since the covid outbreak. I will say that my first visit to D'place was great and that is mostly because the fresh faces, Cameron and Valerie were so polite and welcoming. I asked if there were new owners they said yes and staff. A pleasant surprise since the previous staff who worked at fox before the name change were not so friendly. My guest and I saw Snake Eyes and we enjoyed the film along w/ our fresh popcorn and Soft drink. You can not beat the price of the concessions. Also you can get a refill on a large popcorn and drink for only a dollar each! This spot is back and ready to roll w good service and prices, theatre was nice and cool. The old saying, "you get what you pay for" is true. However, that's not always a bad thing. The Fox is probably my favorite part of living in the small city of Banning, CA. It's located on Ramsey Street, so the surrounding area has that rustic/Art Deco look, and the exterior of this theater shares that aesthetic. It was recently remodeled as part of a city preservation project, and it looks really neat. I love the vibe walking up to the small three-screen theater. However, what really makes this theater appealing is not it's appearance, but the affordability. You can see new releases for $5.50, with matinee prices set at $4! You really can't beat that. The screens have all been upgraded to 4K resolution, so although they certainly aren't as large as other theaters, the image quality is crisp and vibrant. It's definitely not a huge theater, so it's not as epic an experience as going to a Regal or AMC, but like I said, you get what you pay for. For five bucks, you couldn't ask for anything better! read more

I usually like this theater... it's small and cheap and convenient.... but I was just there this past sat night, everything was fine, nice and clean... but the prices went up a dollar, not too bad but if you go up on price, the concessions stand shouldn't be as pricey and should be waaaay better. I have visited this theater for 20+ years. The theater is small and has very limited selection of movies with only three screens. They've upgraded over the years and it's a very intimate theater that still has a nostalgic feeling. Usually clean and prices have slowly gone up to where they are now; $6 for an adult. Interesting enough, I paid and came through the front door where the person checks the ticket. I stood there and waited to the side for my husband to take our Orange Julius drink cups back to the car that he would not allow us to come in with. No problem. As I stood there, the same guy sees a "friend" through the glass window and breaks his neck to get into the door where the box office is. The "friend" was paying for him and his family to see a movie when the employee just clears the register that the female attendant is working on and allows the friend and his family in for FREE. I guess we have the wrong kind of friends......no such "hook-up" ever seems to happen to us. I wonder if the owners appreciate that type of activity in their business. read more

Even tho the venue is small, it rather more cozy than cramped. Despite the multitude of kids here today, everyone was well served at concessions in time to make the movie. The FOX is a great movie theater for our community. They have kept the movie prices so reasonable for all the years I have lived here (29years), the staff are very friendly, they have the newest movie releases, 3 theaters, the BEST Popcorn around and you don't have to spend more money driving out of town! The Fox is back open, yay!! While it is only limited movie selections, it was just what my family needed for a little outing. The two people (ticket guy and concessions stand guy) that I encountered on this visit were both very kind and accommodating. There is a $1 extra charge to buy the tickets in person, but there's a processing fee or something when you buy them online. So, either way there is a charge, but it is far less than the big theaters AND THIS THEATER IS OPEN. You need to wear a mask, but where don't you have to wear a mask when in public?!! So bring a mask, or possibly buy one from them. They have a new Icee machine that has ALL kinds of flavors to choose from. Still has popcorn and candy too. Specials are on hold. Maybe the Wednesday special will come back.. Maybe it won't.. Even if it doesn't , still far better experience for my wallet than AMC or Harkins!! I'm so glad the Fox is back open! My favorite movie theatres in my life. Please ignore all those bad reviews that were unfairly written in the past. I used to live here for 12 years. I came back to enjoy a movie with a friend The theatres have been upgraded. The 2018 theatres have beautiful Sony 4K movie screens and new comfortable cushy theatre seats. The restrooms have beautiful black fixtures. The refreshment counter may not be fancy; but you still get freshly popped popcorn with or without butter, drinks and candy. The restrooms have new black fixtures. The theatres are kept clean. Give the owner of these theatres a break he has totally remodeled these theatres. I saw Bohemian Rhapsody that way yesterday morning it was fantastic. Of course, I cried at the end. These theatres are an asset to the city of Banning. By the way I forgot to mention it only costs $5 or $6 cash to see a movie in these theatres. What a deal read more

All these nice old theaters that fox created around California are always fun to visit. As this particular one was one I had been in long ago, it was wonderful to see that the inside walls and ceilings had been kept in Nice condition and well maintained. The New Stadium seats are very comfortable, and I think I have to say that the snack bar was reasonably priced, especially when you compare it two other current theaters. Anyway it was nice to see a movie on the big screen in the old theater that still has a ticket booth out front just the way the old theaters always had it. We love to see movies here when they are showing in the two main theaters. Not so much when they are showing in the alley because it is a lot smaller and the screen is half the size of the main theaters. The matinee prices are very affordable, and the Wednesday matinee price is a steal! Concessions are also priced for less than other theaters. If you need the giant screen experience, you'll have to go elsewhere (and pay a lot more for it!) but if you're happy with being able to see first run movies for a bargain price, this is the place to go. read more

So I've had to DOWNGRADE this theater to 2 stars after their "UPGREYYED". Sadly, the theater did NOT obtain a clue and tear down the wall. While the inside is clean and the seats are nice, the experience is dull and nothing really more than a glorified home theater. I assume people living out here will love it due to the cheap prices and the cockroaches are gone but in the end, they failed the remodel. The theater SHOULD of torn the wall down and returned it back to a larger 70mm format with better sound in the front. Not doing so ruins any movie you see in the place but the saddest part is the BACK THEATER OF DOOM AND POO. Do NOT see a movie back there. It's horrible. My projector at home is brighter and you feel like you're on a large bus. Again, they should of made the front theater ONE theater and put more money into the back theater with a brighter projector and better sound. Also a BIG NEGATIVE is it's a CASH ONLY THEATER. Saturday night, we buy our tickets and head to the snack bar. It's 7:45 and they are out of popcorn, hot dogs and nachos. The young man behind the counter says come back in a few minutes while he heads in the back to check for additional nacho chips. When I returned at 8, he says he found extra chips, and can make the nachos. Another employee yells over, "no sales! The girl has already closed the registers!" Geez. Full theater of people, and you close the snack bar. Can't even buy a soda or icee. Lost revenue!! Love this place, it's cheap tickets and good pricing on the snacks. I recently went to kirkorian and spent almost $40 dollars. Two tickets Two pretzels Large drink. And I sat there thinking if I had went to Fox I would have have spent half that price. Us locals may love it because it's a fair price for everything, but I personally do not want to spend a lot especially when I have a child and want to take him to see a movie that I will end up buying him later. This place is a health hazard! We came to watch Jurassic World tonight. There was a horrible smell in the bathroom before the movie started. We told the attendants and at first they said the toilets were just having trouble flushing. I went to use the women's restroom after the movie and the smell had intensified. I got very dizzy, have a terrible headache and felt faint after coming out. We first tried to tell the workers but the refused to get off their phones. My husband finally got the managers attention and they are well aware of the problem. He blamed it on the main sewer lines of the city gets pumped through the building, gets backed up and stuck and happens several times a week. To know about this problem and just shrug your shoulders at it, is not ok! My family will not be returning. read more

Just went and saw "Olympus" with Morgan Freeman. What a great experience at the Fox Cineplex Theater in Banning, CA. They just upgraded to the new Sony Digital Cinema 4k projectors, which use reflective liquid crystal technology to create over 4,000 pixels horizontally, which Sony boasts is superior to theaters currently using digital technology that run 2,000-pixel projectors. And I have to say....the difference in seeing "Olympus" on this screen is like midnight and high noon! I sat near the front, which I usually don't....but nor strain on the eyes! For the price of the ticket...the Wednesday bargain shows are $3.00 per person, regular shows are $4.00 per each and shows after 5 p.m. are $6.00 per person. Where are you going to find that with what you're getting here? The treats...cheeper than any other theatre I've been to. Fresh and good. The owner, I'm told has been in the movie/theatre business all his life in one form or another. He loves the theatre himself and that's why he renovated this place to what it is today. And if you run into the owner, his wife or son while you're there, they will give you the run-down on its origan, history and the future. Easy access of the I-10, lots of parking. Great Job! P.S.
