UPDATE: My first time visiting the office was in 2018. Back then there was a very rude staff member who jaded my view of the office. If you read through other old reviews, you'll notice she was the only reason for poor ratings. My family and I love the doctor, so we continued to visit, and I am so glad we did! I have not seen her in at least a year, so I do not think she still works there. The current staff is amazing, super helpful and friendly! 10 out of 10 would recommend. (I was not asked or incentivized to update my review. I am providing an update because the only negative part of the office seems to be gone and it would be wrong to deter potential patients from seeing a great doctor because of someone who does not appear to work there anymore.) read more

Friendly front desk staff. Always greets me with a smile and calls me by my nickname! I adore them! :-) Dr. Funk exceeded my expectations and actually restored mobility to my neck! About six weeks ago roughly I went to Funk Chiropractic. I looked up his reviews and they looked good. The reason I went to him is because I had what I thought was sciatica. I've been battling it for many years. It was affecting my low back and hip. I have a regular chiropractor I've been seeing for seventeen year's however he is and hour away from me in Orangevale. It was late in the week and I chose to see Dr. Funk for a treatment. I filled out all the paperwork and history and was told I would get and x-ray in office. I was a new patient with Dr Funk. After meeting Dr Funk and going over some things and questions he proceeded to work on me. I was a little perplexed that he did not get and x-ray of me. Like my regular chiropractor I figured he would be careful because I was in a lot of pain to my surprise he was not. Without telling me or asking me he grabbed my right foot he pulled hard and I felt a pop in my hip which was very painful. I was to return on the following Monday. I was in a lot of pain over that weekend and called and cancelled my appointment. The receptionist informed me that it is typical to have discomfort or pain after an adjustment. I recognize that but the type of pain that I was experiencing was excruciating. I eventually saw my Primary doctor because I was getting worse rather then better. After several scans including a CT Scan they found and abnormality in the femoral head of my hip socket. Subsequently I have been diagnosed with Avascular Necrosis of the hip a degenerative disease! Had doctor Funk taken and X-ray instead of taking a short cut due to it being a Friday and choosing a hail Mary approach he would have seen the abnormality in the x-ray and he wouldn't have proceeded with what he chose to do! I am basically crippled as we speak It's been over two months I've been in this condition and 5 to 6 weeks since I saw Dr Funk. Now there is nothing I can do about my experience with Dr. Funk but to tell prospective new patients, be careful! Also to tell Dr Funk in the future instead of taking shortcuts and thinking that one procedure fits all take that x-ray make sure that your patient doesn't have a serious underlying degenerative situation like I did! You basically aggravated a hornet's nest that was in my hip and had you taken that x-ray you would have found a problem! You may be a good chiropractor but you messed up on this one! I think the public should know. People think Chiropractic methods are bad, I disagree, I think they have Wonderful benefits as I've found over the seventeen years I've experienced with my regular chiropractor Dr. LoPresti.y post is one of warning people to be careful and to address a doctor who dropped the ball here! He maybe amazing to other clients and I believe that but he got careless with me a new patient and I'm paying for it! read more

Dr. Jason Funk knows how to get difficult people like me adjusted. With most chiropractors, there is very little movement and usually frustration on their part. I'm a big guy, so it's no surprise that I'm tough to adjust. I have a notoriously tight back that leaves a lot of chiropractors shaking their heads in disbelief. Dr. Funk, on the other hand, gets those difficult pops that give me the relief I came for. He is talented and gets me walking straighter and breathing easier. When my back is twisted up, he is the guy who can get the job done. I think I should also point out that he does so without absolutely crushing me. That's even more difficult to do, as most who can adjust me do so with brute force that knocks the wind out of me. I don't feel beat up with Dr Funk. That's talent. Thanks Dr. Funk! read more

Being new to the world of heavy desk work I was naturally inclined to seek out a chiropractic facility to work some magic on my neck and shoulders. Being new to the area I didn't have much info on where to look (heck, I even tried yelp but didn't see much there). So I just tried the first place I found that looked decent. The good: the staff were very friendly, the facility was very clean, the atmosphere was nice (and I even got a neat blue pen to take home with me =P). The not-so-great: It may have been their particular style but after some visits I decided that "Funk Chiropractic" might as well be called "FAST Chiropractic". I felt like I was in and out of their in a whirlwind of minutes and the slowest thing there was laying on that device that creates waves of traction (?) below your spine. While it felt good to have some spine-cracking action (and it certainly did address some discomfort issues I was having), I just didn't feel like I was getting the same attention I had previously experienced at other places I've gone to. Again, the staff were real nice, but in the end, I guess I was hoping for more to really leave me feeling like I had really been worked on. You know that feeling where you feel more supple, flexible, loose and even more relaxed than when you first got there? I felt it somewhat but I wished for more. It pays to do your homework when choosing a provider. Again, they were very pleasant (and they do send out an informative health information e-newsletter) but they just weren't for me. read more

I'm leaving this review simply because of the service I receive at the front desk from the dark haired receptionist. She's extremely rude and unprofessional and acts as if her job is the most important in that office. I was never told that I needed the show up 15 minutes early, when I showed up the only thing she said to me was "you're late" I told her that I was never informed I needed to show up early, she rolled her eyes at me and told the other receptionist "just take her back". I cannot express how unwelcoming and awful her attitude is. read more

Just went in for my first appointment. Not very impressed with the blond receptionist. She was very rude and told me I looked like a "little boy". Funk Chiropractic didn't have the best first impression but once I saw Dr. Funk I knew I was in good hands. He was very knowledgeable and able to answer any questions I had. The parking lot has private parking for "patients only"which was nice. The inside was very clean and they also have complimentary WiFi. read more

Wait times can vary as some folks may have more questions than others..I have had some visits with no wait and other where I'm 5 minutes after my appointment time.
