I've seen this restaurant before, but never went in. My friend and I decided to stop in, and we were pleasantly surprised! Their menu and decor is certainly unique. I got the trash bowl which was awesome. We got our food within minutes!

Delicious! Had lunch here with my friends and was blown away at how yummy the sandwiches were! I loved how they were on waffles, but they were scooped out so its much healthier than a thickHighly recommend! Will definitely go back and probably bring my husband and kids next time. Also their coffee was fabulous!

    Lola's Cuban - AMAZING!

Funky Cow Café was the perfect answer to my desire for a great lunch place close to home. Located on the corner of Hammonton's Bellevue and Central Avenues, it is a bright and cheerful spot with a fun ambiance and great food. I ordered Lola's Cuban, their take on a Cubano and it WAS AMAZING. Delicious pork, ham and the special sauce was great...the waffles used in place of the bread were CRAZY GOOD. They were not heavy, stayed crispy throughout and were perfection. I have to make those at home - they were THAT good. I also had a side order of Lola's Spanish Rice & Beans and it was very good. The coleslaw that came with it was also delicious and I went back to get a quart to take home. I was tempted to get the Trash Bowl Salad which has BBQ pulled pork, lettuce, Lola's rice & beans and their homemade mac & cheese but as I was getting dessert elsewhere, I resisted. I did hear that the Trash Bowl is 'fantastic' so it is on my list to try as well as all of their other menu items. Along with the savory waffle sandwiches, of which there are vegetarian, vegan and GF options; they have a menu of sweet waffles as well and an ice cream bar. Ricky, the owner was on hand and he was warm, friendly and personality plus - Funky Cow Café exceeded any and all expectations and I will definitely be back to try the entire menu!

I've been eyeing this place for a while. On my latest trip to NJ, I finally checked this place out. The menu is actually pretty small, but the sandwich I got was still good. The Mac and cheese was alright. It wasn't super cheesy. The only issue I really ran into was seating. We had to wait about 5 minutes to sit down as the table needed to be wiped down. It was during their lunch rush, so this is probably why. I would come back to try a few more menu items if I'm back in town again.

This came up in Yelp as great for ice cream. We drove 30min out of our way to stop here. My mistake to trust Yelp stars. Parking on street, very close by, was free. Staff was odd for customer service; she didn't give information about toppings, flavors, cone types or really anything at all. Just politely asked what we wanted, and to me, with their quizzical menu and lack of display cones, cups, or any other typical ice cream shop didactics, I clearly needed the low down on how they "do" ice cream. Menu says "market price" for ice cream, really? Is this trying to be cute? Pretentious? Really annoying to have to ask how much it is, with a menu right there. Also, it's SOFT SERVE! Okay? Soft serve and "market price" do not belong together. And at that, they have two flavors of soft serve. Guess which? And the employee didn't explain there are toppings until after she squeezed out our serving, so with no time to think through any topping choices, and the already-soft ice cream melting, of course I wasn't going to add any. It was $5.50 for a small soft serve, and $0.75 per topping, btw, but the "market price" may change. Decor is typical "boutique ice cream parlor" style, bathroom clean. They put FARRRRR more into the overdone design than they put thought into customer-friendly menus or training people-oriented staff. The room was dimly lit, to the point where the back was plain dark during daylight hours, just really weird for an ice cream parlor. More cow noir than funky, I'd say. Glad I supported a local business but I wouldn't go again. 3 stars for the wasted time to get there and the "market price" nonsense.

I was there for the first time on Sunday, March 30, 2025, for breakfast (big shock!). Note: they serve breakfast and lunch but have dinner specials on certain nights throughout the month (check their website). The café is clean and well lit; one side of the café is all windows, which is great because you can watch planes take off and land at the Hammonton Municipal Airport. Neat! There is a small counter/bar with room for about 10 people and then various tables throughout the venue. Weather permitting, there is also outside seating. We were a party of 4 and were seated immediately. Our server, Ava, was fantastic from start to finish. She greeted us right away and took our drink order. Since we all asked for coffee, she brought a carafe for the table and that really impressed me. Our coffee cups were always full. We quickly ran out of sugar; instead of bringing more packets to the table, she brought us a free-pour sugar dispenser. How thoughtful! Throughout our meal, she checked on us several times and refilled our carafe, brought more creamer, and so on. It was refreshing to be so well attended to. As far as the food goes: top-notch, hot, fresh, prepared and cooked perfectly, plated professionally... what more can I say? I am certainly no stranger to dining out for breakfast, and Apron Café's fare is remarkably the best I have had in a long time. Allow me to provide a little more detail about the food. I am drawn to any 3-egg breakfast like a moth to a lightbulb. Imagine my joy when I saw a 3-egg breakfast plus TWO choices of meat! I thought I died and passed on to breakfast heaven! I chose scrapple and sausage patties - potatoes and toast were included. I ordered a side of sausage gravy too. Eggs: cooked perfectly over-easy; scrapple: crispy on the outside, mushy on the inside (like God intended!); sausage gravy: hot, tasty, and exceptional. Also, my brother-in-law ordered eggs benedict and much to his delight, the meal came out HOT and the poached eggs were cooked by a pro - just gushing with hot yolk when cut in half. My sister's meal came with pancakes and I ate one. Wow - on par with all of the other food: delicious! This was a really special breakfast for us and I am grateful to the Apron Café and the entire staff for making our visit wonderful and one that I want to repeat as soon as possible. I can't wait to try their other breakfast items and stop by for a specialty dinner. I am definitely recommending this establishment to anyone and everyone - you will not be disappointed!

Hubby had cod poboy and had roast pork (real pork not lunchmeat!) w melted provolone and spinach. It was good but would've preferred a hard roll vs soft. The homemade chips were delish. My favorite was actually the homemade potato salad. It was one of the best I've had. I also checked out their catering menu. Very well priced. Can't wait to go back!
