This place looks amazing and cool, nonetheless the food did not match the ambiance; that was unfortunate. We didn't even finish our food, it was not pleasant. The servers were nice but made a few mistakes, probably because of how busy it was at the moment. The best thing was the fresh grapefruit and orange juice. It's handicap accessible which is also a plus.

Good flavor. Good service. Very thin burger patty. Lost amongst all the lettuce. Do yourself a favor and order the double.

Diner food.. Not really a fan Chicken tender was hard Fries were not crispy as they should have been. Burger was OK. Bacon Double Cheeseburger If you're in the area and have kids...it works. They have games and a family center. Service was good no complaints there. I am just used to a better burger and fry than they offer. All staff was friendly. And I also had a total stranger pay for my meal which was super sweet and a blessing on a spring Sunday afternoon. The place gives a Happy Days type vibe with a family center attached.

The food was good. The cheese fries were good but they got cold fast and it caused them to be hard. Other than that delicious. The service was very quick. The lighting and decor was very nice and old fashioned.

You get all this for $5.28 (week-day breakfast special)

11/05/2024 Just a quick update: still enjoying Nifty Fifty's breakfast monthly, usually weekly. Recently, the mid-week breakfast special is now up to $5.95 - not a deal-breaker considering you get 2 eggs, coffee, potatoes, and toast. Service is still top-notch thanks to Katie, Maria, Deanna, and Autumn. A couple of other perks: new red coffee mugs (very nifty!) and coffee creamer is now served in a little carafe - no more splitting open the tiny plastic creamer containers. Not much has changed in atmosphere; it is usually quiet when I go in (thankfully they're open at 6AM) and there's plenty of room for me at the counter. Thank you, NF, for the consistency!

So when I lived in New Jersey I would always get to this place and man it has not changed and I'm so happy that it hasn't. The place is so retro and has the best 50s vibe. When I went the staff member who sat us was really nice and our waitress was even better. The food was spot on and sooooooo freaking good . I'd drink 5 of those key lime pie cheesecake milkshakes if I could. Cheesesteak fries are a must get in my book .you can't go wrong with those. Also if you like soda they have one of the biggest soda selections in the world haha. You can create and mix any soda making thousands of combinations. Love this place and any time I'm in jersey I stop at this one.

Took the family out to celebrate the kids first day of school this year. Stephanie our waitress was kind and attentive. The cheese fries and onion rings were great starters. All the food was excellent but my wife's cheese steak had the cheese on the bottom instead of on top so it was good but dry. The open kitchen feature is awesome as you can see your food being made. Both kids enjoyed their burgers. The arcade they have onsite is awesome and decently priced. There is also a mini golf course outdoors but we did not check it out.

I ordered my food at 4:03 and left out of there at 4:37. Over a half hour wait for three items is crazy!

I ordered my food at 4:03 and left out of there at 4:37. Over a half hour wait for three items is crazy! the staff in the back appeared to be knocking out orders but nothing was being bagged to go out. I wish the girl up front had more help because she appeared overwhelmed and not many helped her.

Food was decent. Service took forever but when did get someone she was very down to earth. Ambiance is just like a diner. I got a key lime pie milkshake and it was amazing. Only reason I will be returning.

I got a chocolate banana milk shake and I have to say, Nifty Fifty's is probably the last place that you can get a "Real" milk shake with out any fake powders or flavorings -it's never changed-you can tell they don't cut corners and I dunno if anyone else knew this (bc I dudnt) but it came in a cool hard plastic Nifty fifty's cup also got a cheese burger that was awesome- I got the onion rings they were the only thing I don't remember being the way they came sadly didn't taste like anything but the sauce was good

Great breakfast for reasonable prices with great service. The breakfast platter which consists of eggs, toast, hash browns, with a breakfast meat and unlimited coffee including a to go cup is $8.99. The coffee and smooth and mild. They have fresh squeezed orange juice with any kind of soda fountain drink your heart could desire. Fresh Belgium waffles with real maple syrup are served. Nify Fifty's is kids friendly with hats you can color and an arcade next door. This is our go to place for a reasonably priced delicious breakfast served with a smile.

Went here to satisfy everyone in the car. I took away one star because that didn't happen. My husband wanted soup and we figured chili would suffice but we don't eat pork and the restaurant couldnt confirm what meat the chili was made with. Womp womp womp. My husband didn't order anything but everything that was ordered, including a crispy ranch salad , kid's cheeseburger meal and cheesesteak fries were excellent. Freshly made and excellent service. They have lots of games and you machines to entertain children and my son thoroughly enjoyed himself. We will visit again for breakfast.

Unfortunately this was a working lunch so had to have raspberry tea. It wasn't bad. May have had two. Yep I did. I ordered us a candied bacon to start and then I had the tuna poke salad. The bacon was delicious but some was a bit charred. I still ate it cause it was delicious just a bit charred on the ends . Now the Tuna poke salad was interesting. Not a typical poke bowl. Very tasty and yes it and the bacon filled me up. The rice said it was a coconut rice. Well it is. I tasted in the first bite and it was pleasantly different. Service was great just soft spoken. Too many years around construction equipment other things that don't help hear in a restaurant. I would love to come back in the evening so I could enjoy one of their list of adult beverages. Next time I will try and not stay away so long.

Our service was OK, but they were pretty busy. My only true complaint is that it was so loud that we had difficulty hearing one another speak, which is not ideal for girls night out. From the moment you pull into the parking lot, it's complete chaos, cars double parked everywhere with no organization. Walking inside doesn't get any better. The place is overcrowded with DoorDash and Grubhub drivers just standing around, and there's no clear system for who's waiting, who's ordered, or where to go. You literally have to ask a dozen people just to figure out where the line starts. After finally placing our order, we were told it would be a 30-40 minute wait. That turned into an hour... then an hour and a half... then nearly two hours, with zero communication or updates. We even went back in after an hour, only to be told our food still wasn't ready, but were offered a tiny spoon of water ice as if that somehow made up for it. Then, after waiting even longer, we were finally told they were out of beef bacon, the main ingredient in both of our sandwiches, and asked if we wanted a substitute. At that point, absolutely not. We canceled the order. To make matters worse, instead of issuing a proper refund, we were told to "monitor our bank account" and come back if the charge doesn't fall off. That's unacceptable. At least the receipt says voided but I already know where I'll be on Wednesday

Mother's Day brunch at Sabrina's Café with my beautiful daughter We made sure to get there early…read morebecause if you know anything about this neighborhood gem, you know they don't take reservations. This wasn't my first time at Sabrina's, so I already knew the service would probably be a little different with the Mother's Day rush -- and understandably so. Overall, the food was still good! We started with their Blueberry Lavender Lemonade, made with blueberry and lavender, then garnished with fresh blueberries and lemon. It was so refreshing and honestly one of my favorite parts of the meal. For our entrées, I ordered the Shrimp & Grits and added salmon, while my daughter got the Teriyaki Salmon Bowl. For appetizers, we tried one of their "Heated Rivalry" May specials: Shane Hollander's Jambalaya Benedict. It came with shredded potato waffles, two poached eggs, fried shrimp, Creole sauce, smoked beef andouille sausage, pico de gallo, and green onions. Now listen... it looked AMAZING on the menu and had so much potential, but the taste was a little underwhelming for me. The dish came out room temperature, almost like it had been sitting for a while, and I really think it would've hit differently if it had been served hot -- especially the potato waffles. Still, I understand they were extremely busy and trying to accommodate everyone during the holiday rush. Sabrina's is definitely still a local favorite that I'll continue to support. Overall rating for this visit: 8/10

The service was great even though it was incredibly busy for Mother's Day. My dad loved the shrimp…read moreand grits and enjoyed that he received so many shrimp (7 or 8) that all had good size to it. The chicken and waffles were also excellent. My young son really enjoyed this. The fried buttermilk chicken was so on point that we ordered a second one as a side dish. Likewise the buttermilk chicken sandwich was great. I added bacon which was a good call. I would have liked the bacon a bit crispier and I think raw spinach rather than sautéd spinach would have helped the chicken stay crispier. We also order pancakes. The pancakes were super big. I'm talking dinner plate big. Unfortunately the taste did not live up to the big size. The texture was off putting and the flavor was strange. As for ambiance, it can get a bit loud since it is essentially and empty room with only a little decoration. They do have a small outside eating area which was quieter and could be quite nice on a day with comfy temperatures. All in all it was a good experience and we would go back again.
