Welcome to mini-golf course #14! We had some dinner and played mini-golf. The food is good especially the fries. The course is bigger than most with some stairs so be prepared for some walking. I enjoyed the water hazards but there isn't much to check out other than the big ass waterfall. The greens are a bit worn, but it's the end of summer. My wife managed 2 hole in ones, so this is now her favorite course. read more

Such a nostalgic restaurant! We had a great meal starting with waters & a cotton candy ginger ale. I love the wide range of syrups and flavor combos for sodas, malts & milkshakes. It's a cute 50 style restaurant went there this morning for breakfast with my daughter. Breakfast was good but the scrapper was hard as a rock. They had to remake it for the whole table. Other than that it is OK great for a fast breakfast. read more

HORRIBLE! Never been treated so badly. While my African-American family of waited patiently to be seated in this all CaucasIan establishment. Another family of seven who arrived 10 minutes after us was seated first. The manager could not offer an explanation and my son's birthday celebration was ruined. He had not been here in years and wanted a throwback celebration in honor of his 20th birthday. He had fond memories of this establishment as he's had parties here as a youth and visited many times. Needless to say those fond memories for my entire family have been erased and replaced with the unsettling feeling of being discriminated against. So when I lived in New Jersey I would always get to this place and man it has not changed and I'm so happy that it hasn't. The place is so retro and has the best 50s vibe. When I went the staff member who sat us was really nice and our waitress was even better. The food was spot on and sooooooo freaking good . I'd drink 5 of those key lime pie cheesecake milkshakes if I could. Cheesesteak fries are a must get in my book .you can't go wrong with those. Also if you like soda they have one of the biggest soda selections in the world haha. You can create and mix any soda making thousands of combinations. 11/05/2024 Just a quick update: still enjoying Nifty Fifty's breakfast monthly, usually weekly. Recently, the mid-week breakfast special is now up to $5.95 - not a deal-breaker considering you get 2 eggs, coffee, potatoes, and toast. Service is still top-notch thanks to Katie, Maria, Deanna, and Autumn. A couple of other perks: new red coffee mugs (very nifty!) and coffee creamer is now served in a little carafe - no more splitting open the tiny plastic creamer containers. Not much has changed in atmosphere; it is usually quiet when I go in (thankfully they're open at 6AM) and there's plenty of room for me at the counter. Thank you, NF, for the consistency! read more

Took the family out to celebrate the kids first day of school this year. Stephanie our waitress was kind and attentive. The cheese fries and onion rings were great starters. All the food was excellent but my wife's cheese steak had the cheese on the bottom instead of on top so it was good but dry. The open kitchen feature is awesome as you can see your food being made. Both kids enjoyed their burgers. The arcade they have onsite is awesome and decently priced. There is also a mini golf course outdoors but we did not check it out. read more

The food has definitely went downhill. Burgers are incredible thin of I pulled it out of the bun it just may be see through. Fries are this and usually a combo over soggy or over cooked. Go there for the games ( which unfortunately are also expensive these days) or the shakes or sodas . But don't actually go for the food it's simply too soggy and thin. Go for the old school boardwalk-nostalgia indoor arcade with the kids when it's cold out. Play a short round of mini golf outside for $7 a head. Definitely buy a milkshake to go on your way out! Sit down service not highly recommended unless you have no other options. The food is ok-ish. The burgers are incredibly dry and thin, which would be fine if they weren't griddled to death. Great breakfast for reasonable prices with great service. The breakfast platter which consists of eggs, toast, hash browns, with a breakfast meat and unlimited coffee including a to go cup is $8.99. The coffee and smooth and mild. They have fresh squeezed orange juice with any kind of soda fountain drink your heart could desire. Fresh Belgium waffles with real maple syrup are served. Went here to satisfy everyone in the car. I took away one star because that didn't happen. My husband wanted soup and we figured chili would suffice but we don't eat pork and the restaurant couldnt confirm what meat the chili was made with. Womp womp womp. My husband didn't order anything but everything that was ordered, including a crispy ranch salad , kid's cheeseburger meal and cheesesteak fries were excellent. Freshly made and excellent service. Let me start by saying I do not like to give poor reviews. Mostly because it could just be an off night for someone and I don't want that to influence others reading this. So, even though my personal experience tonight was more like one star, the people I dined with didn't have the same experience. I came with a large party and we sat at two separate tables. I ordered the orange Iced tea and others at the table opted for milkshakes and waters. For our entrees we did the smothered cheesesteak fries, onion rings, chicken nuggets with cheese, two others ordered a burger and chicken sandwich, and then two of us ordered the filet mignon sandwich. The food was delivered pretty quickly and everyone was served except the two of us who ordered the filet sandwiches. Now, I didn't think anything of this because it happens. I don't mind waiting a little. However after everyone in our party was done eating and our sandwiches still didn't arrive, I became concerned. I went up to the counter and mentioned the situation and was asked "how did you order your filet?" I was confused so I repeated that we ordered two sandwiches. He repeated "how did you order it? Like how did you want it cooked?" So I explained we were never asked how we wanted them and then said we'd like one medium and one well. Within 5 minutes from asking about them they were delivered. Just filet on a Kaiser roll. No cheese despite the menu saying cheese. I asked the server for cheese and she brought two slices out on a plate. The filet sandwich needs a grilled brioche bun, maybe some grilled onions, some garlic Mayo. It's so painfully dry and boring and sad. I decided to order a fluffernutter milkshake for dessert and another person in my party ordered a salted caramel milkshake. They were brought over rather quickly. The salted caramel had whipped cream and caramel on top. Mine had nothing on top. When I tried mine, I noticed it tasted like butterscotch and not like peanut butter marshmallow. It was still good, just didn't taste like what I ordered. After a while the other milkshake was tried and it was determined caramel was put on the top of the PB one and they were mixed up. We also brought a cake for a birthday. I called ahead a week in advance to see if this was okay. When it was time for cake it was brought out, in the box, with a pack of candles and a lighter. I worked in a restaurant for 8 years and never in my life have I done birthdays this way. In fact, I worked at a popular jersey shore breakfast place and we would bring out pancakes with candles lit for birthdays. The main issue here seems to be management. Nifty Fifty's seems to be run by young kids who haven't been properly trained in customer service and dining. I do not blame the server(s), because you're only as good as the person who trained you and many of them seem to be experiencing their first job. Nifty Fifty's is my best friends absolute favorite so I will be back. I just hope to have a better experience next time around. PS Stay for mini golf. It's definitely fun. read more

First time at N F's and it the three marks, great service, fun atmosphere, and greaTasty food. Taylor was our server and she was great and I let her manager know on our way out . MDF and I ordered a malt to share and it was incredible. Onion rings were off the hook, chili was flavorful a bean burger was good, and my cheeseburger deluxe was really exceptional. I love 50s restaurants! I love the ambiance and the look and feel of an old diner with chrome etc. This place doesn't disappoint. The staff is very friendly and knowledgeable. They can make virtually any type of soda for you. My favorite is cherry coke! My son had watermelon freak squeezed lemonade (free refills). Their burgers are fresh never frozen. Their French fries are fresh cut everyday! We also order their onion rings which were ok. We we also tried their spicy cheese fries. Good amount of cheese but not spicy. read more

Staffed appeared to know the party that butt the line so we were not happy and just left. Maybe we will try again but we dont need to argue with other customers that want to cut the line. I tend to order delivery through one of the apps and every time I order a veggie burger and do not request cheese. Cheese is considered an add-on that you select from the menu and I believe they even charge you extra for it. But every time they add cheese, I can't eat cheese. It's been like five times now and I've had it with them. I don't know how else to request for them not to add cheese. There are no custom instructions. It's very frustrating. read more

I was pleasantly surprised with this diner. We ordered burgers, hotdogs, fries and shakes. The fries are hand cut and super good. My husband had a triple burger and it was delicious and moist even though they cook it all the way through. My chili dog was good but I am not a fan of green peppers in my chili so I will get a different one next time. Now the fries.
