Upon entering the parking lot, you can tell this place has been around forever with little to none upkeep. This remains sound upon entering as well. My family and I arrived just as it opened, which was nice as barely anyone was here. Upon requesting tickets/cards, the cashier got our order wrong once and gave us a wristband that had no way of securing. We ended up playing the arcade games for awhile as no staff were at the activities. Several of the activity machines were down, but still partially open. My kiddos tried the bumper cars and one of the cars didn't even work. The worker had to get in another car to bump into theirs to get it going for a short 10 seconds. This was a cycle until we gave up and decided to leave this activity. Why even open them if they aren't fully functional? Sure, there are things to do here, but this place isn't the cleanest nor safest in my opinion.

This place is a disaster! We are a family of five that visited today. Initial impression gave off a "rundown" but worth a look vibe, kind of like a shopping mall on the verge of being overrun by zombies. The staff couldn't be bothered to even pretend to like working there. I think they wanted to shout out a warning to run for it, but they needed the job. I think there were three restaurants on the website, one was open for business. We left for a local restaurant (a very good choice) and came back to see if we could make this Funplex fun. We couldn't. We each got a $29.95 card that promised three hours of unlimited arcade. There were a lot of broken games (see the pictures). We played a few that worked. There were kiddie rides working that we didn't opt for. The go cart looked operational but no one was using it. It was like the place had potential, but they gave up. Kind of sad. We were so bored that we could only force ourselves to play for about 45 minutes and we were done. My three sons were also done. Shock. I usually have to drag them out of an arcade. Too many other places to have fun in Houston. We will it see the inside of the Funplex ever again. Don't say I didn't warn you!

Well if i could give this place negative stars I would. Decided to begin my birthday weekend with a little skating - got there before 9- was told it would 20.00 before 10, and then i would have to pay another 20.00 for the adult night skating. That was HELL NO for me - food was over priced and easily accessible at your grocery store freezer section. Lots of games not working - last visit. Maybe they should tear it down, and start over cause this ain't it. However they should keep the bull.

I'm at Funplex right now it wasn't my first choice because I was going to the southside sports bar and Grill off of 59 in West Airport but it was ridiculously so many cars trying to get in there even though I had a reservation, I couldn't get in. So, of course, my second go to place which will now be my first go to place was flex on Highway six and Beechnut. There were no crawls. The food was really delicious and the drinks were good and the people in the bar made the ambience in this restaurant, just great no no yelling just watching the game and having a great time. The bartender is spectacular. He's the only one in here and he's able to fix drinks for the clientele inside the bar and for the people that are in the next next building bowling so if you want to have a good time even when it's not football season, I recommend FunPlex it's family oriented. The kids can go on the ride they have for them, they have skating or they can come up in the pub and have a great time with your parents. So check it out. You really have a great time.

    For this, you paid $19.95

You would think that they used the pandemic shutdown last year to clean the place up, paint the dings in the walls, and fix all the broken rides and games. But no! The place is still run-down, dirty, dusty, filthy, a real germ city. And probably 1/3 of the rides and games are STILL broken! What a rip off. Do not waste your time or your money or your health. Do not come here.

I really loved that even adults can join in--sliding, jumping, and just having a good time right along with the kids. Because it was a Tuesday night, it wasn't crowded at all, which made the experience even better. There was plenty of space for the kids to run around and enjoy themselves without feeling overwhelmed. The party itself was great. There were lots of kids, pizza provided by the venue, and a variety of treats like cake pops and other sweets that were made by the birthday girl's mom--everything was nicely done and enjoyable. The pizza was actually good, which is always a plus at kids' parties. The staff was pretty decent--nice and friendly--and the restrooms were clean. My only small complaint is that the restrooms didn't have paper towels, only hand dryers, which I personally don't love. Other than that, everything was good. The boys went home full, happy, and satisfied. All in all, it was a great way to spend a Tuesday night, and I'd definitely recommend Slick City Action Park for a kids' party or just some active family fun.

My family and I were in town from Chicago for a wedding, and wanted to do something memorable that we can always cherish before we left. I found A Place For Dreamers on Yelp, and immediately knew this was a rare opportunity for my us to experience an activity together as first-timers. I gave a call, was greeted on the phone very nicely, and all my questions were answered. I felt comfortable and ready to book, so I made the reservation for me, my wife, my 9 year old, and 8 year old. After a beautiful drive, we arrived where we could immediately see the beautiful horses. We were greeted by a very friendly gentleman who made sure we were comfortable from the beginning all the way to the end of the experience. He gave us a very clear tutorial, and we were riding before we knew it. The ride itself was pleasant on the trails, and not once did we ever feel uncomfortable or worried about directing our horses. We drove away very happily, and have a lot of memories to cherish. We do not live in Texas, otherwise we'd be coming back very soon. Next time we visit the area, we certainly will stop by again. I recommend giving it a try to anyone who is considering it. To the team at A Place for Dreamers, thank you for maling this a memorable experience for us. Please keep up the amazing work!!

However, we were gifted a Groupon so that's how we knew about OUAC. When we went it was a cloudy and rainy day so it wasn't crowded at all, which was nice. The place was unique because it had many different stations and activities for your kids to play. It's like a huge Montessori playground. My boys loved the train ride and riding on the dinosaurs the most. I like that the place includes both indoor and outdoor stations. The place seems rather small compared to an amusement park like Six Flags, but it's just enough. Kids can easily spend 30 minutes - 1 hour in just one location so I really like how they can enjoy their time and casually play without parents feeling overwhelmed to get everything done to maximize the amount of money spent. We didn't host a birthday party here, but there were other parties booked. I don't know how much it costs, but let me say that the decorations were beautiful! I'm not sure if it was included or if the parents decorated themselves, but if you wanted to go all out for your child, you certainly can. The staff were also ALL super sweet and friendly! The place plans for everything, like rain. They had numerous umbrellas for patrons to use within the grounds. When it started to rain, all the staff were asking if we needed umbrellas, and one even was willing to run in the rain to get us one! Seriously, I've never seen such hospitality in an establishment from everyone! I also would recommend going here on a weekend because according to their website, more stations and activities are open during that time. Even if it's more crowded, I think it is worth it. If you want to do something different for your child, then I would recommend this place!

The first room you get to was the dj booth and it was severely underwhelming...only the one 40 year old male in our group liked it. The littles couldn't figure out how to make it work well enough for them to enjoy...and they refused to let anyone help them. The 1950s vibe with its paneling felt cheap and aesthetically reeked of Grandmas house. Just my opinion but I'd modernize those 1950s elements to make the experience less "Munsters" and more "Monsters Inc."...but with todays "Maxamalist" trend, most people will probably appreciate the "WKRP in Cincinnati" vibe. Overall, from an artist perspective it was too much junk and not enough art in the mix. They still could have used all the junk...just in a better way in some areas. I did really love the teeny tiny bar built in to the bottom of the metal pole in cowboix hevvvven, it was an unexpected treasure and the monster bartender smoking not one but three cigarettes cracked me up. I liked the doors disguised as other things..vending machine, elevator, fridge and etc., and the concept of the tornado room but I thought it was weakly executed if the goal is to portray a tornado I would have liked to have seen the car tilted on one side like it was lifting off and possibly a bit of "wind" in the room,..the water hoses all over the place needed an exaggerated shadow or something.. but the little kids and 20-30 year old's and non artsy people would easily love it and artsy people who can just throw random paint on a canvas and call it art...those people would love it too. Maybe I've grown old and judgy because I kept finding things I wanted to "do over" or "tweek" for them. If I could just turn that off and appreciate what is already there it would have changed the whole narrative for me. Apologies to the masterminds who created all of this, on the whole it is a brilliant masterpiece. The seek and find room was fun for the kids and the rotating blacklight was a nice touch...but it was soo doomsday with all the brown and black..and I get it that its supposed to be stuff submerged in dirt but the 80s girl in me would have preferred sand instead of dirt or at least a layer of sand near the top and possibly a tiny ray of breakthough sunlight from the ceiling and maybe a layer of "water" (clear turquoise epoxy maybe?) on top to give it a ray of hope among the gloom. The dungeon room where you line up the radio waves to make lightning overhead had all the elements of being a fun room with its little alcoves, cute little cave monsters, musical wall and etc but only one person in our group of 8 was inspired to try all the things in that room...but to be fair, she's the one who downloaded the app that helped you discover all the things the room had to offer and it took a long time to make the cool ceiling light up. The little kids were so excited about going through disguised doors they forgot to look in all the cabinets to discover all the cool stuff in the break room and a few of the other rooms. Seriously, if you go, download the app..it makes the experience way better. Its not really a place you'd enjoy as much if you had mobility issues..there is an elevator but going to the elevator breaks of the flow if you are with a group with kids who want to go up and down every 5 minutes. Actually, there was a second elevator but it wasn't operational when we were there. The bathrooms were very clean and we appreciated that there were places to get a drink (cowboix hevvven) or snack (the littles got rice crispy treats) inside the attraction.

The room was decorated with balloons and already had a Happy Birthday sign as you enter and on the back wall! Table was set up for the guests, including napkins, paper plates, and utensils! All guests were required to bounce, including the adults and counted towards the total headcount, even if they didn't participate! So sad cause the grandparents definitely didn't jump! The venue itself is nice and new, and kept clean! There's a giant bounce house, a small arcade area, and a small prize room from the arcade games! We were able to show up 15 minutes early to set up, and no sooner, even if they didn't have previous guests in the room! They literally had us waiting in the lobby until the minute! They did provide carts cause we brought in additional pizzas, drinks and snacks for the kiddos! The party host helped us unload the drinks and stuff in the room, and there was a decent size fridge in the room to keep things cold as well! The kids had an amazing time!! Everyone was sweaty within the hour! Even the adults had fun, at the least the ones that participated. They announced the cake and everyone came back to the room! A giant mascot, with the biggest head (he had to walk sideways to enter the party room ^_^ which was hilarious), came into the room to give my son a present and take photos with the birthday boy and his friends! They even printed two and framed it as a surprise at the end! Super sweet and a nice unexpected surprise! Then came the cake.. we had candles and they brought us a lighter but forgot the knife! That plastic knife doesn't work very well.. I wish they'd offer something sturdier! The party host we had was ok - not the most attentive and most times we couldn't even find her around. The designated host should be nearby, especially during cake time! Overall, we had an amazing time and I think it made a memorable party! My son absolutely loved it and was so sad when it ended. I was hoping we'd get some tickets to makeup for those that weren't used, from our 40.. the party host told us she would ask and they said it was a possibility when I called to book, but nothing ever came of this. We did get a small card for arcade games.. not much for the price of the party and those arcades take way too many points for what they are! We also got 3 tickets to come back, included in our package. We had fun and a few things would've made it even better - but overall a successful party and having everything provided made it so easy! Kids and adults alike had a blast, I recommend for anyone thinking of a day trip or a party venue for kids! I even had some young teens here who said they didn't expect to have fun but did! Winning!
