In addition to his size and strength, Zippy is extremely reactive, thus very difficult to control, when he encounters other dogs during walks. I advertised for dog walkers on Nextdoor and received a few responses from kids and other dog lovers. When Jack Feldmann the owner of Your Pet's Best Friend reached out to me, it was immediately apparent that he is a professional -- the real deal. He and his associate, Kevin Wilson, were totally unfazed by Zippy's size and potential for problems. Both developed great relationships with our monster dog and managed him beautifully. One other set of vets was willing to come to the house for $600, which may be reasonable for a house call on a Saturday to euthanize an animal but was out of our price range. Summit Bridge employees were kind, compassionate, and so very thoughtful to us, and we had never been there before. Today we received a Sympathy card in the mail from them with a plantable heart filled with flower seeds and two paw prints with Moots name on each. They are definitely professionals and we would not hesitate to use them again. I wish they were closer to our home or I would have no problems switching to them to care for our 15 yr old feline.
