Awful, been going here for some time and it just keeps getting worse. I gave them one more chance over the weekend and my poor dog looks homeless! The cut is so bad that I had to trim up her ears myself so that they would look even. Will not be going back. Plus, they never ask for your dog's vaccinations so it's only a matter of time before something contagious runs through all the dogs. read more

I made an appointment the day prior and they were able to squeeze me in! I spoke on the phone with the owner who was super informative and had great customer service. I brought my girl Sevi in for a bath and haircut at around 10:30AM. Another family was ahead so the staff spoke with me while I waited. I found out that the owner is Taiwanese and went to a grooming academy in Taiwan! I would definitely be returning for their service and to support a local Asian-American owned business. The staff seemed extremely knowledgeable and they were super patient with Sevi since she's shy. Sevi is considered a large sized pup so we ended up paying about $85 (pre-tip) for a bath and haircut which was well worth the price! It was difficult at first to find their shop in the shopping center but they are tucked away on the side next to coin bank and there is plenty of parking! I have been a customer for a little over a year maybe? Very pleased with the service and price, and more importantly the quick response on getting our dog in for a groom. Unfortunately, today that took a turn for the worst. We dropped off, it was someone different that we haven't dealt with in the past. As we judged the pick up time we had to take our 3 year old son in to the Dr for a nasty cough and fever. On our way to the Dr at Cedar Park Regional, I sent a text stating that we should be 45 minutes, which would put us arriving at 4:21. We arrived at 4:31 but on the way over were called again only to be threatened with a late fee bc the groomer was finished at 4:30. If we would have been notified that the closing time was 4:30 I would have sent my husband to pick up our dog after dropping me and my son off. Instead I am dealing with a person over the phone questioning my minutes and getting very rude with me. As we arrive at the salon, she comes storming in and accuses my husband of not paying as he is waiting to tap his phone once the price comes up. They threaten to keep our dog bc of a late fee that we refuse to pay and the lady starts recording on her phone saying she is going to call the police and she is ranting and raving at my husband, threatening to shut the place down and then threatening to sue us as we are waiting to pay. We paid for the groom but unfortunately with this hostile environment we did not have the opportunity to tip the groomer who was at no fault. After reading more of the reviews from this place this afternoon, I should have done my homework ahead of time and noticed the unprofessionalism. And not just focused on the great price and quick openings. A shocking situation to say the least. It's not the groomer's fault it's the manager. The only groomer I will take my pup to. He is very particular and not always the easiest to groom, but they go out of their way to take care of him. I have had some less than ideal experiences at other groomers but Fur Oak always goes above and beyond and does a phenomenal job. The two groomers are great, super friendly and always smiling. Horrible! Horrible communication. Horrible prices. Horrible cut. I asked for my golden retriever to receive a silhouette cut which doesn't require much cutting. It's basically a simple trim. I even showed pictures of what I wanted. The woman who checked me in said okay no problem. I was appalled when I picked her up. They shaved her sanitary area down to the skin. She was nicked by the clippers. Her ears weren't trimmed, the feet weren't trimmed, the legs weren't trimmed, nor was her chest or tail. The only thing cut was her underbody and back of neck. After a long argument with 2 managers who don't speak English very well, I was offered to come back and pay more for the cut I requested. Obviously, I did not return to this place. They cut my dog's nail too short. He was in pain. I took him to the Vet. The Vet bill was $158.20. I called the business. The lady I spoke to today was rude, told me she didn't want to compensate me, didn't want to do business with me anymore and hung up me. I understand accidents happen. The young lady that groomed my dog did a very good job with the exception of the nail issue. Nevertheless it was their mistake and it cost me a considerable amount of money. If it was my business I'd do something to compensate the customers not treat them so rudely. read more

I really wanted to like this place and become a regular since it's super conveniently located for me. So I brought in my 6month old golden doodle for his second grooming here. But unfortunately after one visit, I've decided to look elsewhere. The cut was ok. Although his head hair was left much longer than his body hair so he just looked like he had a massive head on a scrawny body lol. I called the lady back and she told me to bring him back in a couple of days to trim his head hair. So far, so good. Unfortunately he was also smelling bad, I wasn't sure if it was him or his toys when I first brought him back home. So I didn't mention it during the call and decided to wash all his toys and bed. He was still smelling so bad I called the lady back 2 days after the grooming. At this point, she sounded very frustrated and said they don't have anyone to give him a bath again and why I didn't mention this during my original call. I asked her if they brushed his teeth, and she said they don't brush teeth unless I bring in my toothbrush. She didn't mention this being your own toothbrush before but I believe she also didn't mention brushing teeth was included. I just assumed it was since they brushed his teeth at the last groomer. So she gets a pass for the stinky breath as well. I could have asked clearly while making the appointment. I just decided to give him a bath myself and he is finally smelling ok! I was about to leave a review with 2 stars for the not so great hair cut and the bad smell. but I just had to spend 10 minutes with the owner trying to teach me about dog owning basics. They do a pretty good job here!! Pricing is good, since I have smaller dogs. I had an extra dematting fee once, so since then I just make sure to brush my dogs more often and I haven't been charged for that again. Took my dog in this past December- when I came in, the lady at the desk was kinda acting short with me, but I just kinda chalked it up to her being busy or whatever (even though that shouldn't make a difference in your customer service). It took her what seemed like forever to check me in- at this point she hadn't even seen my dog at all over the counter. She finally comes around and sees my dog, and I just see her eyes get kinda annoyed looking at him and his hair type. She barely even acknowledges him or touches him (which for me, I like to see the stranger I'm leaving my dog with treat my dog nice and make him feel comfortable. so I didn't like that, and thought that was odd for someone who works with dogs) and I can just tell in her face, as it was later in the day, she wasn't up for grooming him. He's a golden doodle, which she knew ahead of time, so even if she wasn't gonna have time for him she could have told me that on the phone. Anyways, she gives me ONE hair length option for him, which was the length above fully shaved! And I asked are you not able to go a little bit longer than that? And she asked why? You like him fluffy or something?? (Almost like I was weird for wanting that!) And I said um yeah I would like to keep him fluffy if we can! So she went back into the back room and came out with a comb and brushed through his whole body just fine and barely found ONE tiny mat on his leg and said that's why we have to cut him short! And I said, can you not work that out? And she said nope, we don't do that, that hurts the dog! And I was just baffled, didn't even know how to respond to that, never have heard of a groomer not being able to brush out a tiny tangle! *Also side note- on their website they advertise fluffy dogs and different length choices with the package I chose. So total FALSE advertising* So I said ok, well I don't want him shaved, So guess I'm gonna head out. And she just gave her goodbyes with an "oh well" attitude. She wasn't even willing to work with me at all, no courtesy "sorry for the inconvenience".. nothing! Just treated us like a number. What a waste of time! read more

I happened upon this business that happens to be right around the corner from my house. I was so pleased with their services, the staff are very friendly and professional. There are 4 TV screens one can watch to see how they are grooming your dog or you can come back to a wonderful happy little fluff ball when they call you. I had never given my Pappy a summer cut before and I didn't think she could ever be cuter than she already was! I was wrong. She's like a cotton ball on legs and sporting the look. My husband and I recently took in an abandoned dog in desperate need of a shave down and flea bath, these groomers were so kind taking us in as practically a walk-in. They were so kind and patient with this nervous pup and super understanding of our situation as well. It is a good price and the staff were stellar in every way- the dog now gallops in the yard and has no problem jumping up to kiss you and it's definitely because these groomers gave her the relief she needed from her long matted coat. I called to ask some questions and the person that answered the phone (maybe the owner?) gave me about ten minutes of his time, telling me exactly what I can do at home to achieve the de-shedding that I wanted for our dog. I ended up making an appointment with Fur Oak instead, for the next day, and am so pleased with the results. After the appointment the staff talked to me about how my dog (who isn't used to being away from the house much) reacted and...her coat is still beautiful and has SO much less fur. The furminating process is time consuming and so not inexpensive, but is completely worth it to us. I so appreciate the time and information that the groomer gave me for free when I called, and so appreciate the fantastic job they did when I took our dog in. I'd been taking my dogs to a place closer to my house for some time. There was one guy I really liked there and he's not been there for awhile. Then there's this other guy I wasn't thrilled with, but let going until he cut my dog so bad that he didn't need stitches, but he's still scarred. I'm so glad I found Fur Oak. Not only did my maltipoo get the best grooming he's ever had, but the cost was a little less and he wasn't stressed!
