The place was not very clean and the owner was a grump, which definitely did not give us a great feeling leaving him there, but we were in a bind. It was nearly impossible to get a hold of the owners to check on him from time to time - they had no cameras so we couldn't check on him any other way. When we picked him up he had scabs all over his ears, like he had been chomped on by bugs and flies and we also soon discovered that he came home with giardia. Not good. Would not recommend boarding your dog here. Avoid!!

Briefly, our little guy is a new addition to our family and we were seeking a trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable and kind dogsitter to occasionally watch him. We have never gone outside our family to have someone watch one of our pets. So, we were unsure whether Colean, or anybody (!), could provide the trust and care that we get with other family members. Very quickly, Colean earned our trust. She initially had us visit her house with our dog to see whether he had the right temperament to fit into her pet community. Luckily, our little guy did very well. And, ultimately, we entrusted Colean to watch him overnight on a recent trip. We received continual updates via text throughout the evening and the next morning until we picked him up. We feel fortunate to have someone of Colean's skill, passion and commitment to rely upon.

First class service and great communication before/during/after. My puppy came in with minimal training and left a star. Sit, down, stay, leave it, more respect with the cats and my resident dog at home, and way more confidence. From the phone to drop-off they were excellent at staying in contact and making sure everything we needed was addressed. They kept that same level of communication and dedication during our furry friend's stay, which definitely made me comfortable and secure in leaving my dog there. When we picked up our dog, we were walked through everything that was worked on and were blown away. The progress was undeniable. They will tell you what worked, what didn't, and make sure to work with you to plan for you pet's future needs. 10/10. I can't think of taking any of my puppy or senior dog anywhere else.

What concerns me is the suggestion that there was no evidence my pets did not receive care, when my review was focused on the overall environment and professionalism during our visit. The following Monday I did receive a call and voicemail asking about our experience, but I chose not to respond because the issues I raised....issues that appear in other similar reviews....have not been addressed. First impressions matter in any care setting. Unfortunately, ours was poor. The receptionist came across as unprofessional and, at times, untrained. Walking into a room that had clearly not been sanitized is unacceptable, especially for someone like me who works in the healthcare field and understands the importance of maintaining a clean, safe environment. Additionally, the vet that day appeared visibly disturbed by our dogs' barking. While I understand that barking can be disruptive, it is also a normal behavior for animals in an unfamiliar environment. The reaction added to the overall sense that the staff was not prepared to handle our visit in a calm, professional manner. These concerns are valid and should be taken seriously.
