Happy Oreo after a day at Two Paws Up! Thank you Jenni
    Candy M.

I found my new groomer. I have never seen my dogs so calm and comfortable at the groomer. We all felt welcome to be there and seeing my pups so happy, clean and cute made my heart smile. Jenni was wonderful with them and I love how she asked questions about the pups, asked what all I wanted done and genuinely seemed happy to see us. Normally when I drop off or pick up my pups you can tell they don't want to be there but this time they didn't even care when I was leaving. I knew they were in good hands. I highly recommend contacting Jenni and scheduling an appointment. My pups look great and are happy!

COULDN'T BE HAPPIER with Two Paws Up! This was my dogs first weekend away without us and I was a nervous wreck. I was immediately put at ease after seeing the way he handled the initial drop off and pictures sent of his initiation into the pack. The dogs are so well cared for as a pack but also paid attention to based on their individual needs. It's amazing that with all those dogs, so much one on one can happen. My dog was so excited to be there and had so much fun and made so many new friends and was equally excited to see us when we picked him up. We will definitely be back. I no longer have any trepidation about going on vacation now that we have Two Paws Up available to us. I could go on and on. 5 stars - without hesitation.

Very professional! My pup was so clean and happy when I picked him up. No doubt Two Paws Up really care about their customers

Hey Mom when are we going back to Two Paws Up??
    Ms B.

I can't rave highly enough about Two Paws Up. First, I love that it's cage-free boarding, as I would never leave our dogs anywhere caged up all day when we are out of town. Our two Australian Shepherds stay there regularly, for both short and longer stays. There's plenty of space to run about with other dogs and play all day, and they both love swimming in the pool. They always come home calm, bathed, and very well-behaved (there is a trainer on staff). We also use their grooming services, which are simply way better than any I've gone to before. Because of my allergies our Aussies get a buzz-cut a couple of times a year, which is always beautifully done. Two Paws Up even took care of their Bordatella vaccines during their last stay.

Two paws up did an awesome job on my lyla girl!! Thank you ladies for being so wonderful!!

And, based on our great experience with her, we felt compelled to write our own glowing review of Colean. Briefly, our little guy is a new addition to our family and we were seeking a trustworthy, dependable, knowledgeable and kind dogsitter to occasionally watch him. We have never gone outside our family to have someone watch one of our pets. So, we were unsure whether Colean, or anybody (!), could provide the trust and care that we get with other family members. Very quickly, Colean earned our trust. She initially had us visit her house with our dog to see whether he had the right temperament to fit into her pet community. Luckily, our little guy did very well. And, ultimately, we entrusted Colean to watch him overnight on a recent trip. We received continual updates via text throughout the evening and the next morning until we picked him up. We feel fortunate to have someone of Colean's skill, passion and commitment to rely upon.

From the very beginning, Misty was incredible. She carved out time weeks before the wedding for us to meet each other and talk about our dog's (Louie) temperament, our expectations, and the full game plan for the big day. It gave us so much peace of mind knowing she was prepared and genuinely cared about making everything go smoothly. On the wedding day, she was amazing. She arrived early to the Airbnb and was able to get used to walking and handling Louie. She walked Louie down the aisle, handled him and helped him greet guests during the ceremony and cocktail hour, and kept everything completely stress-free for us. She kept us updated via text throughout the day, and when it was time to drop him back off at our Airbnb in the evening, she sent photos and updates so we knew he was settled and happy. She even left us the sweetest wedding gift, which was such a thoughtful touch. Misty was kind, professional, organized, and clearly loves what she does. We are SO grateful for her and would absolutely book Dogs on the Run again. Highly, highly recommend!

I compared them to other animal boardings close to me. I spoke with my husband on each and he agreed with me, DOTR was the best sounding. We reached out, told them about our beautiful 5 yr old Great Dane. They did the research within the company to find a best fit. Carter came out to our home after some communication. He LOVED our dog, she loved him. Carter and his wife were hooked and accepted her with open arms. The day to leave was here. She got a bit anxious seeing our luggage. My husband drove her a short distance over and dropped her off. She loved it, and they were so loving right back. We had updates regularly, both in email and pictures. It looked like she was on vacation. We are booking again for Thanksgiving this year. Unfortunately, Carter is not available, but they connected us with Madeline. We already know that this is going to be a great experience for Madeline and our pup (6 yr old at that time).

This was our second time using the Escondido location, and it confirmed that this facility is not…read moreequipped or operated to responsibly manage large or anxious dogs, despite advertising itself as a professional daycare. During our first experience in May 2024 (boarding), our dog, Chika, was labeled anxious and given a "first strike" for snapping at other dogs. We had never received this sort of feedback before and were concerned. She was placed in private care for the remainder of that stay, and no further issues occurred. Between May 2024 and December 2025, Chika attended numerous daycare facilities in social play without incident. We gave the Escondido location another opportunity on December 20, 2025. Within three hours, we received a voicemail from Daniel (manager) stating that Chika was digging at and jumping on the walls and that the Escondido facility's walls are not as sturdy as those at the Miramar location. We were also told that she would NOT be welcome back at Escondido after that day. We do not dispute Chika's behavior, but the problem was the lack of management. We are paying customers and expect staff to actively handle the situation, not simply report it and escalate to removal or ban. There was no indication that reasonable steps were taken (removal from the area, breaks, walks, or calming measures) before contacting us. Notifying the customer is appropriate and appreciated; failing to attempt resolution is not. Chika was eventually placed in a cage for the remainder of the day, which was acceptable. However, communication did not indicate that efforts were made to reduce her stress or ensure her comfort. We paid $60 per dog (two dogs; our other dog's behavior was deemed acceptable) and expected professional supervision and care. There are serious safety and operational concerns. The facility has thin, easily damaged walls, is understaffed (per the manager and owner), and staff are not consistently present in dog areas. Dogs are sometimes monitored via cameras rather than in-person supervision, according to Daniel (manager). This location also maintains a low number of dogs, which aligns with how quickly dogs are removed or banned instead of being managed. According to the daycare, Chika may react this way because calmer areas stress her and busier areas keep her mind occupied--interpret that as you will. Interactions with Daniel (manager) and Brian (owner) were unacceptable. Brian called us on December 21st, which we initially appreciated as a chance to discuss the situation. However, the conversation quickly became hostile and dismissive, with Brian stating they "could bill you for the damage, but aren't," telling me to "take some introspection," and calling me "rude" and "ridiculous for asking for a refund." He also said, "open your own daycare and manage it how you want." All phone calls with management are recorded, so there is a record of these interactions. No accommodation was offered. Had a partial refund been provided, this review would not exist! The only professional interaction was with Whitney at the front desk. We love the Miramar location, and it's disappointing that our experience at Escondido came to this. Owners of large or anxious dogs should proceed with caution. This location does not actively manage stressed dogs or work toward resolution.

Horrible Experience! Our anxious RESCUE dog was red flagged!…read more We went to VCA because of some discount they were offering... First visit was okay, I did find it strange they took him to the back to vaccinate him. I asked why - they stated it was because they didn't want him to see us as the "bad guys" with the experience... yeah weird. We boarded him there twice, no issues they even text pictures throughout the days, and updated us.  This past summer, he was due for vaccines. After 1.5 hour of waiting and having numerous staff coming to see him. The Director stated my dog was too aggressive and they couldn't vaccinate him! WHAT?! I was so confused that these so called professionals were scared of my anxious dog! I even offered to hold him while they vaccinated him but they insisted that the procedure had to be done in the back... WHY? What the heck goes on back there that only staff can see?! My husband still wanted to give them a chance and recently attempted to get our dog vaccinated with them. Well our dog was banned from VCA as per the Director. He is too aggressive to be vaccinated and is no longer allowed to board with them. Our dog was a rescue and we have no idea what he went through... we have worked with him to calm his nerves and anxiety... however, people that are actually trained for this profession can't find ways to sort through this??? Let me add the following side notes 1. In every visit there was always new staff 2. During my 1.5 waiting time they were confusing my dog with another dog that I later found out was my neighbor! 3. We were never ever told about his "aggression" while he boarded. The staff that we encountered during those times always complimented him saying although anxious he would warm up.  My suggestions would be find a good vet! One that is professional and can work with all dogs not just docile lap dogs! VCA will disappoint you, apparently they only know how to work well with rabbits! ***VCA please don't bother replying to my review with your pitiful excuses and start hiring competent people!
