Big props to our vet Elizabeth Edmunson who did our kitten spay. I was quite surprised how quick our kitty recovered after her spay. It was like she never had surgery and not once tried to lick her wound. After doing research on the vet, she does something called a key hole incision which mean a much quicker recovery time, less scarring, and less discomfort. This explain why she recovered so well. Kudos to the vet and Furever for such an affordable spay. My only negative feedback is the line when dropping off could be more organized. I came in standing next in line, then when the owner said who was next, I then realized there were 6-7 other people who came in first sitting down. Then more people came standing in line, so I was confused. Are we sitting down or standing up in line??? My suggestion is if your in line, you stay in line, otherwise you lose your place.

One week post procedure. Just enjoying some cone-free snuggies.

I don't know if I have enough vocabulary to describe how amazing my experience was with Furever Family. I was referred to them by my veterinarian, Dr Jill Granite, to get my 1 year old Italian Greyhound neutered. The staff is incredible. So sweet, understanding and reassuring. They genuinely seem happy to help everyone and their pets. They took the time to explain everything in great detail to every client there, and I received updates throughout the day with how my pup was doing. I accidentally forgot to grab one of my dog's post-op pain medications, and one of the representatives actually drove all the way to my house from the other end of Orange County the next day to drop it off to me. I offered to pick it up from her, but she declined saying it was their mistake and she'd be happy to deliver. I wish I got her name, but she was so genuinely sweet and lovely. Can't thank her enough! Everything from requesting the appointment, to instructions that were sent, to checking him in and out was streamlined and easy. One of the techs told me that she wrapped my boy up in a little blanket after his surgery like a burrito until he came to. I just thought that was so kind of her and really speaks to how much the entire staff cares about the health and safety of everyone's pets. I would give this service 100 stars if I could. If you are in need of a budget-friendly spay/neuter for your pet, look no further. Furever Family really does treat your babies like they are family and have excellent, qualified staff and vets. No issues at all with medication instructions, wound site, and his recovery. The lady that brought the meds to me even checked in with me to see how he was doing. They really do go above and beyond! One of the pictures was sent to me while he was waiting for his surgery, and the other is from today. I let him take his cone off for a bit (supervised, of course) just for a little break. Thank you Furever Family for treating us like we are indeed family!

They offered a reasonably priced spay for our rescue kitty and the whole process was smooth from start to finish.

Surprisingly we were offered a spot at the retreat due to last minute cancellations. We were in a campers dorm. There were four of us and the accommodations were clean and roomy. I liked that the restroom was inside the cabin. The rates for the retreat are affordable and reasonable. Meals are included and accommodations are good but don't expect a hotel room. The time flew and at our first break, were informed of all the wonderful things that the farm does and who/how many people it reaches who are without food. However, the rescue's listing was an out and out lie! I needed a dog that was okay around cats, and I also preferred one who was house trained. (New dogs will have accidents in new environments, and that's okay, but previous training is helpful.) Shiloh was listed as "good with cats." He is NOT. I have three cats and he terrorizes them! Shiloh has been with me for 7 weeks, so not long, but if anything he's gotten WORSE around my cats, despite my efforts to calm him and guide him. Shiloh was also listed as "house trained." He is not! This, too, would normally not be a big problem for me. I have adopted several dogs and cats over the years, and I understand that accidents will happen. Shiloh, though. shows NO sign of any previous house training. He had accidents daily until I hired a trainer, and even then it only helped for a while. The listing with lies was on Rescue Me and Adopt A Pet. Before deciding on a new family member, I took several factors into account. I asked about both issues, cats and house training, before the adoption was finalized. It just didn't occur to me that the Muttly Crew folks would lie. They did. Just beware. I was blessed with a wonderful new friend in Shiloh. I can keep him separate from the cats. I don't mind cleaning up after him because I love him and he doesn't know better. I will have the trainer back for several more sessions.
