He wouldn't give me a time. 30 minutes after that, I still hadn't heard anything, so I told the person at my apartment to leave so he could go back to work. When my fiancé commented that a loveseat priced around $750 seemed expensive compared with a 5-piece sectional priced around $1,300, her reaction and smile came across as condescending. She also did not make much effort to show us different options or explain the available pricing. What frustrated us most was that she never mentioned the Labor Day sale. I only brought it up because I had already seen the promotion on Ashley's website. Her response was basically, "Oh yeah, let me check, but you have to decide which one you want first." That made no sense to us. If different pieces have sale prices or promotions, customers need to know those prices while comparing options, not after they have already made a decision. We came in genuinely ready to buy furniture, but the attitude and lack of assistance made us decide not to purchase anything and leave the store. A better customer-service experience could have easily resulted in a sale.
