We've taken our dog here for a while now. We have a high strung 4 year old German Shepherd that doesn't love to be groomed and we've never had a problem until recently. Anytime she'd get groomed she would smell so great and that would last at least a week. The past two times she just smelled okay and would smell again after a few days. It honestly smells like they just sprayed her with something and her fur wasn't even washed. They do a good job trimming her nails and they often don't wash her face because she's nervous but it's not worth the money if she smells almost the same as when I drop her off. Also, they try to up sell you on some de shedding shampoo that doesn't work. The staff is great but something has changed recently. read more

It's apparently really difficult in today's world to find a reliable and consistent groomer. First of all, a Poodle's hair is like the easiest to cut. This was our second grooming with FURology. The first cut was closer to what we requested, but even after showing a picture of the desired cut the second time, they have missed the mark once again. Really bummed because the facility is nice, the staff are caring, and they go out of their way to connect, but its just not a flawless experience until the finished product. Case in point as seen in the attached photo. We asked to take our boys muzzle in tighter, yet he was left with several of these random long strings of hair. He was also there for 4 hours, which is a record compared to other groomers, and left smelling like "White Diamonds" by Liz Taylor. We've since given him another bath to remove the perfume smell he left with and have fixed his random muzzle hairs ourselves. Hope the team can take this criticism as constructive and work to be more thorough and precise. The search continues for us to find the perfect groomer. read more

We took our 8 month old Havanese Juneau to Furology for a full groom. From the time I set the appointment they were awesome. I explained that Juneau is pretty new to grooming and she will probably be pretty anxious. They took that into consideration when picking a time and day to see her. The day of grooming she was already anxious from the car ride and needed extra patience and care. The groomers at Furology took their time, didn't rush her into anything, and we're able to give her the full groom she needed!! Juneau looks beautiful and her Easter bows were so adorable! The best groomer in Santee. We've been coming here since it opened. They are all experienced groomers that are excellent with my 3 dogs. We go every month and they are always trimmed perfectly. They are very good with aged dogs and give them time outs to relax when they notice they're becoming stressed. I miss them so much as they are closed for covid. Our doggie, Belle, is a new SD resident. She was due for a nice grooming but I was nervous to take her to a new place. After our hike at Mission Trails on a Saturday, my bf found FURology on yelp and decided to call hoping for a same day availability. Tammy was so nice and luckily they had something available that same day. First impression: they have a cute area in the patio where doggies can use the restroom. They even have bags available to pick up the poo. That's so considerate of them! We walked inside and Tammy greeted us with a friendly smile. She took the time to ensure Belle was comfortable with her since she is a bit anxious. It took 2 hours for the grooming. Wow. This staff! Amazing! My dog is very much an old lady (15 yrs)! She takes the patience of a saint.... simply because she takes time, she needs breaks, and delicate hands. The girls assured me it was no problem and reassured me she was in good hands. The salon is very open so it's easier to see "behind the scenes" unlike alot of other grooming facilities where all you can see is the check in desk. This place is all about you being able to see the care that they take for your pet. I really wanted to loveit. But the last time they didn't schedule me and I waited 2 weeks to find out they didn't even book us. I've been so flexible changing my times and dates to accommodate them, not by my choice. The one time I needed to reschedule seemed to be a problem and didn't even book me. It was the same guy who remembered playing phone tag but he couldn't remember not taking the call. It was highly recommended I get Daisha not sure if I got her name correct but I don't want to deal with them the way they just didn't give a damn they dropped the ball and the few visits my times have been changed last minute to accommodate them especially when I schedule in advance. Every time I've been booked has been the same story change my time and rearrange my schedule the night before. the first grooming was awesome the second one no so much. But he's a puppy and can be tough to groom. Maybe they couldn't handle him not quite sure what the reasoning for not taking us. Wanted me to wait an additional 3 weeks out. No thank you! read more

From the plastic fire hydrant relief station in the parking lot to the adorable Decour inside, it really shows how much they love the animals they care for. They even have dog treats available for when your companion comes out as a reward. Every detail has thought and makes this place really stand out! During my first visit, I spent more time talking with the groomers getting to know the staff. Everyone expressed a knowledge about dog behavior. Damien greeted me as I walked in with my dog, Marco. Lindsey, the owner, also joined in and listened to my concerned regarding Marco's struggles with nail time. As they went to place them on the table for his grooming, they quickly assessed that the table was a trigger for his fear. Lindsay got down on the floor holding Marco creating a calming and loving environment as Damien clipped his nails. I have two young dogs and it is a giant pain in the butt to trim their nails. We have brought them to the vets and to a chain store to have them trimmed, but they only seem to trim just a little bit. It's frustrating because within a week we hear that toe clicking on the floors. I found Furology on Yelp, saw the five star reviews and gave them a call. Dominic was the person who answered, and he was so nice. He explained the paperwork we needed, and said they had an opening now if we could get there. Place is literally under a mile from our house! My paperwork, unfortunately, didn't say the exact rabies date, but Dominic called our vet and got the information. They were so nice, kind, and gentle to our dogs. Even when my dog decided to go number two on the table, it was not a problem - although it was an embarrassing moment for us, it was just part of the job and treated without incident. It was our first time here and the entire staff was amazing! I had my 9 month old with me so as I was going to get out the stroller, Dominic came running out saying it was ok and he could just check us in at our car! (Which as you mom and dads know- is super kind and amazing!) He completely knew exactly what we wanted for our King Charles Cavalier Spaniel and did such a wonderful job! He explained we could do curbside check out so I wouldn't have to get my daughter out of the car. When we arrived, we were greeted with another friendly face (I'm sorry I didn't get her name but she too was lovely!) She checked us out promptly and went to get our dog, Cali. Cali usually is panicked when we pick her up from her previous groomer which always made me a little leery. I've been taking my dog here for a few years. The last place he went, he was cut so bad he had to get stitches (I won't mention where but it rhymes with "metpart" ). He was really traumatized after that experience but the folks at furology are so great and loving with my dog. Domenic has always been our groomer and he is so gentle and sweet with him. Bonus is that they take debit/credit cards which is rare for a groomer in this area. The place is always so clean and it's open so you can see everything g that's going on. I was so happy to see FURology move in on Cuyamaca! I hate trimming my dachshund's nails because they are black so I brought him in to see Lindsay. First off it is absolutely adorable inside! They did an amazing job on the interior and it was very clean which is important to me. Normally Leroy (my dachshund) shakes and cries at the vet and groomer but he was only slightly apprehensive. It was very calm inside and Lindsay talked to him the whole time and did an amazing job! He didn't cry at all. I love that they dremel the nails too.
