I would not recommend Furry Babies. I purchased a Pekingese from this location almost 4 years ago and unfortunately this has been one of the worst experiences I've ever had with a pet purchase. From the beginning, this dog has been extremely difficult and unsafe to manage. She has never been successfully potty trained, and more importantly, she has shown aggressive behavior, including biting a child, biting me (the owner who feeds her), and biting my nephew (who also feeds her). This is not normal behavior, and it has been heartbreaking and stressful for our household. I have owned several dogs in my life and have never had an issue like this. My dogs have always been well-trained, loved, and properly cared for. This is the only dog I've ever had ongoing problems with, despite doing everything right. I have spent over $3,000 purchasing her and an additional $7,000+ on vet bills, sedation, grooming, and professional training in an effort to correct these issues and keep everyone safe. At this point, I cannot continue to keep a dog locked up or constantly separated from children just to prevent another incident. When I contacted the store, Jessica initially told me they could not take the dog back. Later, she called me back and said they could take the dog back -- but with no refund and no accountability for selling a dog with these severe behavioral issues. I purchased this breed believing they were friendly and good with kids, and I was told that at the time of purchase. After doing my own research due to the aggressive behavior, I learned that Pekingese may not be ideal for children -- something that should have been discussed honestly before selling a puppy to a family. I'm leaving this review to warn other families: please do your research, ask hard questions, and think twice before purchasing from here. read more

We got a golden doodle puppy from here. He was three years old and died suddenly of a brain disease he was likely born with or got while here from horrible care. Never buy a dog from this place. My family is heartbroken our dog was our life. This has been truly horrible. I know that he is in a better place now with Jesus. read more

Good idea and a good location, unfortunately you're not able to pet any of the dogs unless you are considering adopting them and then you have to go into a specialized area that's more controlled. Understand we live in a world of lawsuits and germs and bacteria and they're trying to avoid that. Several times dogs were peeing in the cribs, they were pretty quick to clean it up unlike other people's complaints. Still just doesn't feel right that they're not able to get proper walks to relieve themselves. I still think you should adopt from a shelter or someone who's a professional breeder as opposed to a place like this. No idea what the pricing is like, never asked but I'm pretty sure it's expensive. read more

Amazing! The staff were very welcoming, we came in shortly before they closed and they let us stay late and play with a couple puppies. The staff were very friendly and knowledgeable and took great care of the puppies. They supplied us with all the paperwork such as vaccines, parental history, etc for the baby before we made a decision. After deciding, the staff told us how we should be crate and potty training her, how to feed her, and helped us pick out a harness and crate. The inside of the store was so cute and comforting too! The dogs look so sad here. The place smells like fences, they don't even clean after the puppies :( The workers are also very rude, as soon as you enter they have an attitude. You can't touch the puppies. How can you expect to buy a dog when you can't touch it? Also the prices are also crazy!! read more

Workers are taking care of pups way better than before. Management definetly changed a bit and you can tell. Not sure if they are selling from mills again....but there are some rescues that come in from time to time and I love it. Hate the fact that I have to "adopt" a 2 year old for $2000. Just absurd. I can't speak to their service however my friend and I stopped in to look at the fur babies and there was one puppy literally biting and malling another puppy in the crate with him. The puppy that was under attack was whining clearly in distress and the workers did absolutely nothing. It was in that moment I decided if this is what happens when customers are in the store I can only imagine how they are being treated when no one is watching. This puppy shop has the cutest puppies! The shop is super posh and super cute but could definitely use more variety. Besides edible chewy treats, there's really not much to shop for if you happen to have a larger dog. The staff is reserved, meaning that they did allow us to walk around and engage with all the puppies. However, they did not initiate any conversation or ask if we had any questions. As far as prices go, I will say that I've been to other places, and they are selling similar designer puppies for around the same price if not more expensive than this place. Overall, I believe that this is a reputable seller, but would recommend that you research these kinds of establishments or visit your local paws shelter considering that there are many pups that are in need of good homes. read more

I had mix feels about rescuing and purchasing. I knew there are plenty of furry animals in shelters needing a home. Its been 2 yrs since my 20 year old sheltie went to doggie heaven. We rescued my sheltie, i finally decided to get my new fur baby from hear after much debate bc someone made me realize that they also need a forever home. I also wanted to grow w this fur baby . So chipping is outside the price and a bag of food is also part of the cost. I didnt ask if i could opt out of the food. I took it bc I figure he was on it , if that is one thing i can keep consistent with the transition. What we dont discuss is everything noise and object is new. Luckily i am older and know that patience and how we communicate is going to set us up for our life together. I did follow there advice for training and it has been helping. One week in and he is starting to understand the routine The staff was nice, i didnt feel pressured but I knew I had to be ready for this life long commitment. I suggest, ask about the dog personality, i went in for one specific type but he had gone to a home. I did find a similar breed that has the quality. The best part is so far his personality matches the energy level I have . What I would suggest to the store is to start more info regarding the mare and sire personalities bc that is also passed down. Dont buy a dog here. They will lie, commit fraud just to sell a puppy. I did a DNA test after I had my puppy for about a month. She was not the designer dog I purchased, she is a 6 different breed mutt(mostly poodle). Sorry but I dont think its fair to give fake/false paperwork & charge someone over $4K for a mutt!!! Sneaky about telling you a upfront price of a puppy. 3-4 Sales reps go and whisper to each other before one comes back and tells you a price. Worse then a used car dealership salesman. Beware ! Looks nice from the outside but if you know your stuff and watch the workers they will push you out with a fake "clean up" if you hang around the cribs or try to snap a pic. I was a customer clearly interested in only looking and I wasn't entertained at all. Not that I needed to be but politeness would have at least been appreciated. Walked into the mall for some wine glasses and walked out with this cutie! The staff were more than helpful and patient with my many questions. My only critique is that they were extremely short staffed to the point where I had to wait almost an hour if not more to finish the process. I don't reccomend this place. Unfortunately no reputable breeders would ever sell puppies to a pet store - anyone can take one home. They are from puppy mills and sadly come with lots of health issues. read more

I looked at all the pups and was totally into rescuing a pup until I saw that they wanted $3500 for a puppy! Went to a PetSmart down the street and fell in love with a beautiful little rescue mix. We filled out the paperwork and made a check out for $350 and picked up our puppy the next day at the shelter location a half hour away. 4paws4u4ever Best shelter around but there are many others where the pups range from $250 to $400 per adoption! It's a SCAM! We usually adopt our dogs from local shelters but we saw Ginger and couldn't resist. She was so adorable. BUT we never got her docs that show she's purebred which is their selling point and that was back in Octobe- it's now May! I called on multiple occasions and was told I would receive the paperwork but due to COVID everything is delayed. Ok fine. Why is the financing supposed to be 340 for a $3000 dog but when you get the bill it's over $7000! You have to pay the dog off to avoid paying all of that interest. And the finance company is a scam. If you add your bank info they will take unauthorized payments out...I read reviews on them too. They're very sneaky. The dogs are cute and they use these young girls to appear as if everything is innocent. Save yourself the trouble and go to a shelter. You can pay 300 to save a life and a headache. read more

Yorktown, how can you let a puppy mill store operate in your mall? They had "rare" colors of Frenchie and English bulldogs that should not be bred because of the congenital defects these poor dogs suffer.
