I requested service for my mini split A/C units through Yelp's project feature. FUSE was first to respond to my request and offered me an appointment within 3 days -- much sooner than any other company. Their technician, Alex, arrived promptly within the timeframe Fuse had provided me when initially scheduling. Alex was comfortable with my two dogs, and took his time troubleshooting both units before letting me know what was going on and what it would be to fix my issues. Fuse accepted credit card payment and fixed one of my units; when I noticed the other was still having an issue, I messaged Fuse through the Yelp app (late at night). They got back to me first thing in the morning and Alex again returned and found the problem with my second unit within minutes. They did not charge for their return on day two. Fuse and Alex were excellent and friendly to work with. Their availability was great, their prices were reasonable, their service call and diagnostic was thorough, and their customer service was outstanding. They were responsive, the quickest of the service companies I considered to get someone to my place and competitively priced (not cheap but no one is). They were flexible on a follow up call when the initial repair did not completely solve the problem and waived labor charge. Service tech who came was polite, friendly, patient with my building's onerous policies on service people accessing and exiting the building, and did a good job. Alex came to diagnose the problem with my fridge. He was very meticulous and thorough. After they got the part for my fridge Alex came back and finished up the work with a 90 day warranty which might not seem like much but this guy is so thorough that I am confident this refrigerator should last me for a very long time without having to fix another problem. They are also very professional and respectful to my property. He uses a shoes cover without being asked when entering my house. I think the value for the job was well worth it as Alex spent hours trying to find the problem with the refrigerator. DO NOT USE THIS COMPANY! We hired Fuse HVAC to repair our broken AC system, but after two months and over $10,000 spent, they were unable to fix it. We had to call in a different company, who resolved the issue in just one week. Fuse canceled appointments and showed up over six hours late without any communication. It took them almost two weeks to provide estimates, and they claimed they would contact our supplier for a warranty on parts we had purchased through them. However, they never followed through, and ignored our questions about the status of that claim--likely because it didn't exist. The technician and the owner gave us conflicting information, and it felt like we were being led on with no real solution in sight. During this time, we also had to spend an additional $6,000 on temporary AC units just to cope with the situation. They also lied and said that they had a fix that we turned down. This never happened, as it took 3 weeks to even receive an estimate for the final job, and by that time, we already hired someone else. Since we were so disappointed, I gave them the opportunity to make it right. I requested a refund for just one of the tests that didn't lead to a solution, and Fuse directed me to email them. I did, and after following up, I still have not heard back three weeks later. Overall, Fuse failed to deliver on their promises, and we were left with a huge bill and no working AC. They were reliable and they did fix the problem on the spot however be prepared to pay top dollar, they charged me $488 for total of one hours work including the assessment of looking at the boiler. it was a simple replacement part that cost $50 for the original and it took 20 mins to replace that part but the total bill for the work was $488 which is extremely high. I told them I'd never use them again simply for taking the piss and overcharging and referrals are the best thing in business but I won't be referring them at all. I was unfortunate enough to have an issue with my dishwasher and fridge pop up at the same time. I contacted a few different places that service Staten Island but decided to go with Fuse because of their quick response time to my inquiry. I also found their $99 service fee reasonable. A few of the other places I contacted wanted $130+ per appliance as the service fee. Aleksei, the technician, was extremely professional and did the work in a timely manner. He was able to see me right away so I didn't have to wait for my appliances to be fixed. Luckily there weren't any major issues with either the fridge or the dishwasher but the total charge for everything was much lower than I had anticipated. While I hope I won't have any appliance related issues for awhile, I will 100% use Fuse again if any issues should arise. read more

We called Fuse when our 5 year old LG refrigerator died. The initial service call came 24 hours after our call and it should be noted that they came on a major national holiday (July 4). The technician quickly diagnosed that the compressor had failed. He responded to our explanation that we were attempting to get LG to cover the repair (as it is covered by a class action suit on their compressors which often fail prematurely). LG shipped the new compressor and Fuse returned immediately and installed it in our refrigerator. LG was extremely difficult to deal with and refused to reimburse for labor but we were pleased to pay Fuse a fair service fee for a rapid, competent job of getting our refrigerator cold again. Fuse was a model of quick, capable, consumer friendly repair service. LG was an example of a company I would never patronize again. I will call Fuse without hesitation for future repairs on major home appliances. read more

Alex arrived to check out the burner on my stove. Before entering, he put on a pair of booties over his shoes. I was totally impressed by the care he took to keep my floors clean and free of dirt. Alex examined the burner's s igniter which needed to be secured, which he did so quickly, He then checked the calibration of my oven temperature to verify if it was operating properly. He checked it with his digital thermometer and assured me it was fine. Alex was courteous, professionally and very knowledgeable. Milwaukee Man came to my house and did a through inspection of my old mini split system. He diagnosed the problem, but the parts would have been almost as much as a new system. So I ordered a new system and he came to remove the old and install the new. He did a fantastic job of removing the old and installing the new system, quickly, and very cleanly. He did an excellent job of installing everything and then took the time to make sure I knew how to use it.
