A group of us went here for dinner this evening. The restaurant and bar area are together. It's a good place to eat the ambience was very well done. The food was phenomenal. The chef's plating and presentation was on point! The portions are generous. We all commented on how well it tasted. No one had a bad meal. I had the blackened salmon. The house salad was excellent. The mussels were incredible and the sauce was also incredible the calimari balsamic was great. The service was great and the food arrived fast from the kitchen. None of the group were disappointed. Polenta and short rib dish as well as a fried cod appetizer that we split were outstanding. 4 of us had the stuffed Pork Chop. It was the best I have eaten. Tender. Jose is the owner and is very personable. He shows you what the many Specials look like on an iPad. That Pork chop looked good and was as good as it looked. Jose has been around as a server in the area for years and has used this experience to give you a great experience. Apparently he has been paying attention. Fusion 27 - Pork chop special - Latin American Near Me - Totowa, New Jersey

After viewing the menu and pictures we were very excited to try this recently opened restaurant and arrived on a Friday night. We were cheerfully greeted by a woman who would become our waitress. Sandra was engaging throughout the evening and demonstrated her elite wine opening skills. Jose the owner who we know from RSK nearby presented pictures on a tablet of the specials. All four of us ordered from the specials and along with them the strawberry salad, cappellini cakes and cod fritters. We thoroughly enjoyed the salad and the cakes and the cod was fresh but the oil may not have been hot enough when prepared and they were soggy. Two of us ordered the fish special, one tuna and one veal chop. We enjoyed our wine during the wait for the entrees and eagerly anticipated their arrival. The veal chop is massive and half of it went home, the tuna portion didn't quite measure up and the two fish specials which included one piece of fillet and shrimp while pictured broiled when shown on the tablet table side by Jose much to my wife's disappointment came out breaded and fried and as a result she barely ate any of it. We did mention this when the table was cleared for dessert but no apology was offered. We felt sure Jose would be interested in speaking with us about it but he did not get involved. We ordered the pound cake with ice cream and espresso and shared it between the four of us, paid our bill and left without another word being said. We realize the establishment recently opened and is still in start up mode and they are ironing out the wrinkles but if the pictures we are being show are completely different from the way the food is prepared then something needs to be done to straighten things out. I am including pictures I took and a screenshot of the entree in question for comparison allowing you to be the judge. Well it showed up severely burned and when I mentioned that it was burned and sent it back the idiot brought me the same steak and thought he would get away with it. I didn't eat it and this time he brought me a steak that wasn't cooked and was bloody. Do not order steaks from this restaurant. They don't know how to cook it properly. read more

Food is phenomenal from appetizers to desert. It's also priced well. The service is really great, the waiter or waitress greets well and make sure everything is to your liking. As soon as you're seated seated they will bring you this delicious warm bread an fresh olive oil infused with herbs which I couldn't stop eating. The food was delicious. Our party tasted the following items and we all loved our choices: Appetizer: Corn Dough Stuffed with Braised Short Ribs and Mozzarella Cheese. Entrée: Braised Short Ribs served with Brown Butter Gnocci. Grilled Bronzino over Roasted Chickpeas, Crumbled hot Sausage and roasted Peppers and Cauliflower Hummus. Prosciutto Encrusted Cod in a White wine, lemon and Capers over Sauteed spinach. Cannot wait to return to try other options! Not much to say about a place that you can just walk in on a Friday night without needing reservations. 3 months ago you couldn't get in but now the place is empty. Very limited menu so you have hope for good specials, and this night there wasn't much to our liking. Portion were small and the special had only 2 shrimp and 2 scallops, I seen more food from the kids menu. Appetizers were good but the mozzarella wasn't fresh. My family and I were looking for a place to sit out with some good food and I remembered how I had been dying to try this place for months. Called and Jose saved us a spot on the phone the same night. Although I don't think it's a place families with kids would frequent l (no kids menu or kids cups), they did have high chairs and were so accommodating as my kids split the gnocchi. My kids enjoyed it by the way. Was worried the meat would be hard to chew because I forgot my scissors for them but it was so tender and just fell apart with a fork. My husband and I shared the tower appetizer special - avocado, chorizo, shrimp and saffron sauce. Superb!! We ordered pasta for dinner because it's made fresh there. Loved everything! Service was also really good as they were really accommodating with our kids and checked on us just the right amount. Highly recommend and is our new go-to spot aside from a few places in Montclair. My husband and I dined for the first time on Saturday evening. Where do I begin? I would give 10 stars! The food, staff and atmosphere are over the top! Jose the owner is personable and accommodating. Sandra our server knows her job inside out and so pleasant with a great personality. Now for the food- I wish I took pictures. We had the scallops appetizer served in the shells, fried burrata over coconut polenta and our entrees homemade fettuccine bolognese and veal chop saltimbocca and fusion 27 special dessert. Everything far exceeded our expectations and can't wait to dine again and try more delicious dishes. We will become regulars at this great restaurant. Today The Boys visited an old friend and his brand new restaurant. We dined at Fusion 27 in Totawa. Spectacular would be understating it. Jose used to be front of the house at Robert's Scratch Kitchen in Totawa. Fusion 27 is fantastic with food and service to match. For appetizers we had Fried Calamari with a Balsamic Glaze that were crispy and melted in your mouth! We also had Long Pepers with fried potatoes that was delicious! Jose brought me a dish I had noticed on the menu. It was Grilled Shrimp atop a Seafood Cake and a Cappaleni Cake . Never had anything quite like it!. For our main , most had the Chicken special which was chicken stuffed with spinach, a potato croquette filled with three cheeses. Off the charts ! There was a Seafood special with mussels, Shrimp , and clams over pasta ! We also had the Burrata special which was homemade Burrata over Brussels sprouts . Wow !!
