For several years we had a worsening raccoon problem destroying our yard and pulling up the turf for grubs. This Spring it was a daily task spending 30-60 minutes trying to replace the turf in our back, side, and front yard. Our yard looked terrible and the ground was uneven. This led us to decide to get artificial turf as well as complete hardscape/paver projects we've had in mind for years. Out of 3 bids, Fusion Concrete (Pier) was the most expensive. Nonetheless, we selected Fusion Concrete. This was because Pier was the only person that insisted on a French Drain in our backyard where I told him we had drainage issues, and he insisted that we needed 8-10 inches of paver-base gravel to support a vehicle and avoid paver settling in the areas we were creating additional parking space. You could tell he wanted to do things right from the get-go. After work began, Pier was reasonable with managing changes to the plan or coming up with alternatives and solutions when we encountered some unexpected issues. Pier and crew were hardworking and the quality of their work is obvious from the pictures attached here (please excuse the privacy blurring). We have already referred friends to Fusion Concrete and if we have any projects in the future, we will undoubtedly be return customers! We started our patio paver project getting a quote from one of the big firms- Calling some office in California, and got a slick presentation and huge estimate. They even told us, they would hire subcontractors to do the work. We then saw work that Fusion Concrete did on a nearby property. We spoke to the home owner and they strongly recommended Pier. And now that we're done, I'm so glad we picked Pier and Fusion. When you work with Fusion Concrete, you work directly with Pier, the guy who does the work. Absolutely wonderful. Had them replace both front and back grass areas that entailed removing old sod and soil, bring in new soil and installing new sod. After the first cutting, the grass is still beautiful. Also, Pier installed a new stone walkway (50' x 4') along the side on our house and repaired an existing flagstone area in the back yard. Great attention to details and kept us informed as the projects proceeded, giving us choices and showing samples. The cost was well worth it for all the work they did. We liked their workmanship so well we hired them to do our yard maintenance. We will be having them do another project after the grass is well established.
