Jose and Miguel, a father-and-son team, are superb landscapers. They bring expertise, integrity and thoughtfulness to the job. They are also fairly priced and work incredibly hard. We have a large backyard with a steep slope that makes landscaping difficult and extra hard work to haul out. It was a mess after a couple of years of neglect. In one day, these two guys excavated our garden, removed a ton of debris and pruned what was left into impeccable loveliness! They also had good ideas for future plantings. We signed up for an annual contract immediately and our neighbors have hired them for a retaining wall. Another friend says they did a great job building her fence. They do it all. In the past, we had an unpleasant guy who clearly relied on a rotating team of unskilled day laborers--who were most likely paid nothing while he gouged us. I strongly recommend this business. They listen to my concerns, help me prioritize the work to sequence it correctly, and strategize to conserve both natural resources and expense. They operate with the utmost integrity and care. When they commit to a project, they are on-time and on-budget. Jose and Miguel have been working with me to re-furbish my landscaping, work around my energetic and destructive dogs, and make the most of my yard space for the past 2 years. They have made a number of improvements. This year, I had a disastrous flood in the finished basement that cost tens of thousands of $s to dry out and demolish. Before committing resources to a rebuild, I got a number of opinions on how to best diagnose and prevent water from continuing to get into the basement. I am so glad I asked Jose and Miguel to give me input. Fire Pit Landscaping proposed a staged project to diagnose and prevent water getting into my house. Once again, they prioritized the phases of work to do the most critical work first and to save on costs. Further, Jose and Miguel dug the first drainage trench under my porch and through existing landscaping without disturbing mature trees or precious and delicate shrubs. They worked through some of this summer's hottest days to complete the most critical phase. We tested and retested and the basement has remained dry. We have mutually agreed to test and watch to ensure there are no further entry sites. I will continue working with Fire Pit Landscaping to improve my landscaping, and to diagnose and install any further drainage. Multiple landscapers told me there was nothing they could do about it, at least not without removing my beautiful maple tree.
