Had a Restaurant.com gift certificate so we chose Fusion because I'm a cheap bastard. Showed up, was kindly greeted, and sat in the near-empty restaurant. The place looked like a mix between a hut in Apocalypse Now and a chic bar in the city - pretty cool. The manager waited on us and was super nice, like my grandmother, but more Asian. We ordered beef on a stick for an app and it was great. I went on my neverending quest to find the perfect pad-thai. Fusion's was quite good, not great. Had a heavy vegetable taste to it (meh), but the peanut sauce was yumzz. The lady got orange chicken and liked it muchly! The chicken wasn't over-fried and the orange sauce was orangey and swell. If I was reviewing solely for the food and expensive prices.. it's a solid 3. But an extra star for the little things. I'm not from the area and found myself starving at 10:45 on a Sunday. I was so pleasantly surprised that they are open late. I called in my to go order. The women that took care of my order was super sweet. I also loved the bright and elaborate decor. Now for the food... (Disclaimer: I would definitely consider myself a sushi snob. I have had the best from all over the world.) I got a spicy tuna roll which came with these interesting little crunch sticks. The fish was fresh and very good and I loved the little bit of crunch. Not overly spicy. I also got a shrimp tempura roll and I was disappointed. The whole thing tasted too sweet, there was mango in the roll, and the seaweed was also fried. I guess that's why it's a fusion restaurant. The miso soup was perfect. The Lo mein was average but I was starving. I also loved how the to go sushi boxes come with a warning that your sushi can grow bacteria after 4 hours at room temp and it should not be saved for another meal. Safety first :) read more

Fusion Kitchen! My favorite small hidden gem on the side streets of Taunton. They are always so happy to serve my friends and I and the portions are good, not overly large but certainly fill you up! I absolutely love their sushi and maki and my favorite thing about the chef is that there is a large tv above where the chef works, and you can see him hand rolling all the fish! It's a really neat and different feature to keep you entertained. Never mind the food, but their drinks...oh man. The BEST. No skimping on the amount of hard liquor used in their scorpion bowls and Mai Tais! We usually come here for dinner and start out with their delicious drinks before a night on the town, and its never a disappointment. They also have a frequent members card, which is a nice gesture for their reoccurring customers and went you use it, your get 10% of your meal put on that card and you can use it for future purchases. read more

This place is a rip off. I had food delivered to my place but was splitting the cost with my friend, they charged both of us $3 delivery charge. I called back and the lady that took the order was nice and said will put it back on the card. The owner then called and said if I would like to use it as a credit when I go back because it's too much trouble to put 3 dollars back on the card and all I would have to do is give my name and telephone number. The nice person I am I said ok that will be fine. Well went there the next day ordered a drink and food and both the waitress and the owner never gave me my credit. This place is bad bad bad. If I were to review based on food, I would've given them 0 stars if possible. Service was decent but I would never return to this place again because of their food. It was a friends birthday and he wanted to find a place for dinner before heading over to round 1 so he settled on Fusion Kitchen. It was terrible. We started off with some crab rangoons and scallion pancake. The crab rangoons were just filled with a glob of cream cheese. I really think that they just cut up squares of it off of a large block and then wrapped it with a wonton wrapper. Yes, crab rangoons are usually filled with cream cheese but not 100% cream cheese. If it is usually filled with 100% cream cheese, why not call it cream cheese rangoons instead? For my entree, I ordered a Vietnamese noodle dish, grilled beef with vermicelli. Awful. The plate only contained small slices of beef, which wasn't marinated enough and the rest of the plate was filled with vermicelli. Their fish sauce (aka "house sauce") that came with the dish tasted like salt water probably because they took regular fish sauce and just diluted the crap out of it with water. That is not the proper way of preparing fish sauce. They clearly did not put any effort or time into this dish. My friends ordered their sushi and thought it was edible. So I guess the take home message is...if anyone wants to take the risk of ordering from here, then order the sushi. If you want something other than sushi? Go somewhere else. I was skeptical at first due to mix reviews and nobody was there (it was also Monday night so I wasnt expecting them to be busy) My daughter takes music lessons across the street and we had an hour wait so I decided to get something to eat with my 8 y/o. We got the $15/$20 voucher too so why not? I wasnt too crazy about the decor but the inside looks clean so Im ok with that. I ordered the Fried Fish Thai Curry. My daughter had fried rice, seafood dumplings and chicken fingers. I wasnt expecting much especially a fresh fish but what a pleasant surprise. The lightly battered fish was so fresh it melts in your mouth. The Curry was perfect and veggies were fresh. Presentation is outstanding. My daughter raved about her chicken fingers, it was not your typical Chinese take out chicken fingers but it was really good! Talk about great ownership/skill/passion for what you do! I was having a craving for sushi this past weekend. I had no idea what I wanted and although, I more than occasionally eat sushi, I can never remember what anything is called ( I do have a toddler and have since then lost my mind apparently). I'm newer to the Raynham/Taunton area and no one I know had good recommendations for a great sushi spot so I performed my own search. I ended up ordering out from Fusion with help from a lovely lady over the phone who gave all of the perfect recommendations (including cooked sweet potato sushi for my toddler). You can also watch then create your order on a monitor in the waiting area- Its like artwork! I can go on and on about the true passion every employee took in their work, presentation and demeanor which, let's face it, is pretty difficult to find in the Greater Boston area. For Taunton, this is a great place. We were pleasantly surprised. My sisters, sister-in-law and friends met here last Saturday (10/8/11) for dinner and drinks. The sushi was amazing (though the Black Jack Roll was not nearly as spicy as I would have expected) but all of it was fresh and tasty. The drinks were excellent and the value was great. Our waitress was awesome and the owner even came over later to give us a $10 gift card. We had so much fun. The restaurant is beautifully decorated, simple and clean. I am eating the leftovers from last nights dinner at Fusion. I have lived in the area for years and thought I was going to Dragon Lady for dinner last night. I was blown away by how nicely the inside has been renovated. The sushi was fresh, well presented and tasty. The "traditional" chinese food we got was a step above what you get at your run of the mill joints. I will be back. Only real turn off was the scorpion bowl. Have been to the Fusion Kitchen a few times and was a patron when it was The Dragon Lady. The owner is always there to greet the patrons. Tonight we went for my Fiancé's birthday and we sat at the bar. We were there a few weeks ago and the waitress at the bar remembered what we had on our previous visit (that is a very good waitress in my eyes). While we were at the bar we could see the Sushi Chef making meals. What an art that is. No wonder it takes time to get Sushi. It takes time to make a pretty meal like that. read more

Food got me Sick, I've driven by this place off and on for awhile, so I decided to stop in last night. Got a Pu Pu Platter for 2 and house rice, it was 32 dollars which I thought was a little much, evidently they only sell one size rice which is 11 dollars. I got it home and 5 minutes after I ate all the food, I had a stomach ache instantly and was sitting on the toilet going for 5 minutes. I had something else in my house besides their food and felt fine, 20 minutes later, I ate the rice again....and.......BAM, within minutes, back in the bathroom. Not much had a lot of flavor, beef sticks were tiny and the meat wasn't tender, nothing really tasted good. Hong Kong City is the closest thing to Kowloon's in Saugus. It's not even a contest. So sad, the woman at the counter was so nice, but there's something wrong with the food, I'm calling today for a refund, and I'm going to see about taking this food and going to get it tested, I GUARANTEE it's bad. I'm a healthy eater, yesterday I had oatmeal for breakfast, brand new fresh salad and vegetables for lunch, so it's nothing else I ate. Sorry Fusion, but, Hong Kong City beats anyone around here hands down. Ordered chinese food for pick-up, pu pu platter for two and as I ordered I repeated three times no shrimp my mom is serverly allergic...went and picked up the order for 31$ which seems pricey and on the receipt it even said "no shirmp" when we got home and opened the food their was shrimp, my mom has a epi pen thank god, because after eating the other food she got violently sick and started having a allergic reaction. The food was disgusting we called to complain to get our money back and the owner said no refunds if she had togo to the hospital they are insured. Not even an apology!! The sushi is artfully crafted and very fresh but more often than not when we arrive the owner says they are "out of sushi". Last time I went we got there at around 6:30 p.m. and our food did not arrive on the table until about an hour and a half later. We overheard the owner say that they decided to not serve sushi to any other customers (dine in or take out) after us. Then she proceeded to send away at least 4 groups of people coming for sushi for dinner claiming they "ran out". The problem may be that they only have one sushi chef on hand and the demand is too high for him to handle in a timely manor. I just think the business management is poor and it is no secret that the customers leave unhappy.. not with the food but with the service. Its a shame that this is the case because otherwise I think their business would be thriving considering they are one of the few sushi restaurants in the Taunton area. read more
