We booked a luxury SUV with Future Limo for our recent trip to NYC. Sometimes when you're booking a car service, the most frustrating part can be getting a quote and scheduling, so I appreciated the ability to do it 100% online! A BIG tip for Future Limo- they should send out a confirmation/reminder e-mail the day before your pickup verifying they will be there. When we arrived in NYC, I realized that I hadn't actually heard from them since I booked several months ago and had a moment of panic standing in the airport. What if they didn't show?? Luckily, I did end up receiving text messages stating they were there. But man, when you're busy planning and traveling, these small things slip your mind, and a verification the day before would really ease stress on the customer. Since I had booked so long ago, I wondered if they may have forgotten about me. Otherwise, our driver Carmelo was very nice and helpful and the SUV was clean and comfortable. I also appreciated his willingness to crank up the AC on a very hot day! One of us had an injury and he even helped us get out of the car. I would use them again! read more

Love these guys! I've used them 10+ times and all but one time had an amazing experience. Theyre professional, always on time (early actually), courteous, nice/clean cars.. they're just great! And competitive prices! My one bad experience was handled wonderfully by their staff - I called to complain and without question the gentleman on the phone apologized, acknowledged my loyalty to their company, and refunded me completely. I'm not sure what the other Yelpers are talking about, but I have never had such a lowbrow car service experience. The guy shows up wearing a hoodie and steps out of a fairly junky Chevy SUV ( I'm not talking an Escolade or nice Suburban that you see people in - this was just a truck and not a nice one at that) I shrug it off and get in the truck to find that the entire center console has been replaced by a huge cooler( you know the kind with drink holders on the top?). I look around a little more to notice his steering wheel has a cover on it that is decorated with skulls and crossbones, and there are fake Hawaiian Lei hanging from the mirror...oh, and the smell of calzone was palpable. Anyway, you get the picture. If you want taxi service at a black car price, then this is your place. Otherwise, look elsewhere. Would love to hear any suggestions for legit car services that go from NYC airports to Jersey city. I will not be using Future again. On the plus side, the guy was very nice and did not want to chat too much (always appreciated). Actually, I feel bad having to write a negative review because the guy was very nice (Tom, I think). I research the hell outta things.... And on my most recent trip to NYC, my Yelp searching was on FIRE!!!! Dissecting every review to the T. Going to an unknown place on a tight schedule, I absolutely have no time for error, bad customer service or discrepant shady pricing..."Ain't nobody got time for that"!!! I researched about five car services and what blew me out of the water with Future Cab, was the upfront clarity in pricing and HONESTY of my driver. The price that is stated is solid and the same every time for the same trip. On my last ride with Future Cab, during my trip to the airport, I had accidentally entered a double tip(40 bucks!) and the driver immediately called me and texted me to let me know possibly if I may have made a mistake! Within five minutes my error was rectified and my driver sent me a screen shot to show the correction! Honesty....That's what I'm talking about!!!! On this trip, I had to be a bunch of different places within short time frames... I felt like I had a friend in the driver seat... always there amidst the obscurity of this trip. Hmm, had such a strange experience trying to book a reservation from South Brooklyn to the airport a week from now. Since it got such rave reviews on Yelp I figured it would be perfect for my early flight. But I couldn't make a reservation online or on the phone. First I tried making a reservation online. Each time I tried the page froze, then displayed an error message and locked me out of my browser. Tried on a tablet and it just shut down my internet. Weird. Then tried calling their number on the site. After being on hold, a message said no one could take my call and I needed to call back later. What? That's weird, you'd think they'd want to get your business and not make you have to waste time by calling back. Guess I'm going to have to stick with the crappy car service I've used in the past. We used Future Limo to and from JFK! Top notch, and on time service. They sent confirmation emails, text messages, and direct messages from our driver Sam. They do not charge your card until after your ride. Price includes all taxes, tip, and ride. Would definitely use this company again. Sam was very pleasant, and had great communication! I used Future cab for a ride from LGA to Park Slope and it went smoothly. They showed up on time and drove safely. They are about 30% more expensive than a regular car service, but I was willing to pay extra for reliability and nicer cars. I then tried to book a ride back to the airport, but this is when things went south. When I called no one answered, so I left a detailed voicemail message at around 6pm (my flight was the next day at 5pm). I called a few more times that evening, and still no answer and no one called me back so I used a different car service. I'm sure they will respond to this review by saying that there was an issue with their voicemail system, but they have used this excuse several times before and I don't believe it. read more

There was a mix-up and some further miscommunication at the airport and our car was late (no fault of the driver). So we had to über to westchester from JFK, as we had to get to a wedding and didn't have any time to waste. Fredy, one of the owners of Future Cab made it right though- he offered us a complimentary return trip to offset the earlier mix-up. When he didn't have any drivers available at the time we needed to go, he drove us himself. When a company makes an honest mistake, and then makes it right, it really erases the mistake. Customer service goes a long way and Fredy and Future Cab are all about that. read more

A many-months-overdue review, but Future Limo was great! I was moving to NYC and arriving by train with tons of luggage and boxes, and needed a way to get to my new apartment. The name "limo" initially turned me off because I'm a no-frills type and was kind of freaked out at the prospect of traveling in a limo. But happily, the fleet is made up of nice yet normal-looking black SUVs, so all was well. Ironically perhaps, I actually chose Future over other companies because when I called up, the owner, Tom (I think that's his name?), suggested that I take an Uber instead of Future to save on costs. I really appreciated that kind of integrity, even though because of my move and quantity of luggage, I wanted something more reliable than a rideshare that could be scheduled ahead. Even so, the price was absolutely fair and reasonable. Figuring out a pickup place was a little challenging because of the traffic patterns and location of the station, but Tom was available to answer my questions from the time I first called for an estimate to the time my train arrived. The driver was prompt, incredibly friendly and helpful, and drove safely. He did ask at the end of the trip if I'd leave a review, and it always makes me uncomfortable when people flat-out ask for reviews, so that was the only aspect of the trip I wasn't crazy about. But I had every intention of leaving one, anyhow, because this company really helped make my move so much easier and smoother. read more

I tried this place because the Yelp reviews were pretty good. I was not disappointed! This place was great! I reserved a car on the phone and got a text message confirmation with my driver's name and number. My driver called 30 minutes before pickup to say he was en route. He arrived 10 minutes early and helped me put my bag in the trunk. Timmy, my driver, was super friendly and the car was clean. We chatted the entire ride to JFK, but it wasn't forced awkward conversation (like with some drivers). I will totally use this company again. It was smooth and easy! read more

When my daughter decided to go to school at NYU, we discovered Future Cab and have appreciated how easy they've made it for us, living in Washington State, to get her reliably to/from airports, and for us parents when we go visit her. I like how they track flights, have the driver arrive 30 min prior to pick up, cars are always clean and comfortable, and the drivers very professional - the drivers are truly great. Oh, and I wouldn't be typing this if we didn't think there rates were reasonable. I tried future cab for the first time going from South Brooklyn to the airport. Pretty standard rates. I got a personalized quote emailed to me through their website, and once I called, they immediately identified my reservation by my phone number. Booked it in a snap! Text messages are sent to you to confirm the driver is on the way 30 min prior to your pickup and again when they're outside. The car was clean and new. Tony was my driver. He was on-time, helped me with my suitcase, and was friendly, professional, and accommodating. They take credit cards also. I'll be using Future Cab again. read more

So I tried calling and got the automated service three times. To my surprise, five minutes later Tom, the owner, called me back. Booked my reservation with Future Cab on the phone with Tom. Tom was great. Funny and straight to the point. He gave me a good quote and agreed to pick us up on Christmas day (yes, we traveled on Christmas day). Our driver was not very talkative, but that was fine as we were both tired. He drove us to our destination quicker than we expected. The only thing, when we received our email with confirmation, the price went up drastically, this may have been a honest mistake, but had I not caught that, I'm sure we would have been charged that. Once I contacted them, they changed it right back without any questions. I think it was an honest mistake, but it did kind of scare me initially. read more

Where have you been??? For years, I constantly searched for a reliable car service for airport transport with clean, nicely maintained newer cars that show up on time. A driver that does not smell like he bathed in cologne, gave service to riders and does not have a hanging deodorizer tree hanging from the rear view mirror. I am not one to write a lot of reviews, but I just had to share my experience in using this awesome company! Mike is a breeze to work with any scheduling requests or questions. New cars always show up right on time, impeccably clean with a very professional driver. You even get text updates that they are on their way and when they arrive. Let's face it, not many of us have had the luxury of high expectations for car services. More like, I hope I get to my flight on time is the expectation. I needed to get to LaGuardia from Crown Heights at around 5am. After looking around, I noticed Future Cab. They have a fairly simple online reservation service, which did a much better job than other sites auto-filling my address. That was big for me. The other really nice thing is that they text you when the car is on the way, when the car is close, and when the car is outside. This level of feedback went a long way towards setting my mind at ease, needing to catch a flight and all. Finally, they got me to LaGuardia in about 25 minutes. Granted, it was 5am, but still. Awesome. I think you pay a bit more for the peace of mind, and that is definitely worth something to me. read more

I have been using Future Cab for years every time I need to get to or from JFK or LaGuardia. Tom and his crew are always professional, constantly on time and excellent with communication. They are a car service, not a taxi, so you will need to set up in advance with them, but it's totally worth it. Most people automatically assume that something like this would be super expensive but in my experience, they are not much pricier than a taxi from JFK to North Brooklyn, not to mention gratuity is factored into the cost ahead of time and you don't have to wait 45 minutes in the taxi line at the airport. My company recently took a trip to NYC and I had to arrange travel for 6 people coming in from both JFK and LGA and going to different hotels in Brooklyn. I have to say, working with Future Cabs was the easiest part! Their online system let me book cars to/from the airport and hotels in a snap and let me pay for them with a credit card so my coworkers didn't have to worry about payment. Their website also makes it extremely easy to change pickup times and locations, even at the last minute. Even better, riders can make changes to their reservations as long as they have their confirmation number The best part is the drivers. Each driver sent a courtesy text to my coworkers as their flights landed, introducing themselves and letting them know to call when they're ready for the driver to pull around. One of my coworker's flights was early and she was pleasantly surprised when her driver texted her upon landing to let her know that he saw the change in her landing time and was already at the airport, ready to pick her up. In the past, I've used a few services that have asked for flight info so they can track the plane and make adjustments for you if there are delays, but very few have actually made changes on their own, resulting in some big problems with pickups. Future Cabs was totally on point!! Yes, Future Cabs may be a bit more expensive than other car services, but they're worth every penny! I'll be using them for all our future trips to NYC. read more

I was a bit worried about getting from JFK to Basking Ridge, NJ but Future Cab's owner, Tom, made all those worries dissipate as soon as he picked me up. I got in a bit later than expected because of weather delays but it wasn't an issue. Even made a pit stop @ White Castle when I asked if we'd be passing by one (us west coasters don't have 'em). Oh, I was picked up with a wifi-on-board, well maintained, nice, clean, pleasant smelling vehicle... extra yay for that. Will definitely book with Tom again. read more

This car service is great! Reasonable prices, about the same for me when looking at Uber or a cab. I was coming from brooklyn and had to make and extra stop. BUT THE DRIVER WAS FANTASTIC!! Beck was his name and he is the reason I am writing the review. He was professional, polite and even had a good attitude at 4:40am (5 minutes early!) when he picked me up. He had a pack of tissues and water bottles for us in the back seat. When we got to the airport, I was signing the receipt and added an extra tip to what I was being charged. I was a little upset that my previous e-mail had quoted me the price including tip, but I was being asked to add extra gratuity. I shrugged it off and didn't say anything to Beck, but he addressed it and told me I didn't need to pay the extra tip. The charge had already gone through, so I told him not to worry about it, because I was impressed by his honesty. He even offered to reimburse me with cash as an immediate solution. When I landed in Chicago, I saw I had an email from him and futurecab that the extra tip had been refunded. This was after Beck had turned around to return my cell phone that I left in the back seat of his car. Fantastic service! read more

Excellent service. Our flight from California to JFK was delayed 4 hours. Original arrival time supposed to be 9:30pm. We arrived at 1:30am. By the time we collected our luggage it was closer to 2am. Jack from Future tracked our flight and was in contact with us as soon as we landed. He was there waiting for us. This limo service it's top notch! Here in NYC and have been using them to get around with my family of 7. They are on time and all the drivers are great! Yes, I could save a little $ using 2 taxis but the extra $ is totally worth it to keep us all in one car that is clean and the drivers are reliable and professional! The pros with future cab were that the price was very reasonable, the driver arrived at my apartment at least 15 minutes before the scheduled pickup time, it was a quick drive to JFK, and both the driver and the person I talked with on the phone were both very nice. The car was also extremely clean and didn't have a smell of smoke or anything else unpleasant like I saw with reviews of other car services. The only reason this isn't a 5-star rating is because it wasn't really made clear to me that a gratuity was included in my price. It wasn't until I I got the receipt emailed to me the next day that I saw there was a 20% gratuity included. Overall, I'd definitely use their service again. I just probably wouldn't tip as much in the future. Note: I found the website a little confusing. I used Future Cab for the first time in April for a trip I took from CA to NYC. I'm a former New Yorker, Brooklyn born, and I did not want an unpleasant experience. I read the reviews on Yelp and I took a chance on Future Cab. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTED.....These guys are the best...Off the plane at JFK and my driver was right there on the phone with a text. He knew where to pick me up and found the best route to Brooklyn on a Friday get away traffic day. So...I over tipped him and asked him to pick me up for the return trip. Why? It was a seamless, entirely stress-less, experience. I WAS NOT DISAPPOINTEd. He was at the Brooklyn address early. He was diligent and attentive and courteous. Need I say more? -- New car. I booked Future Cab to take a coworker to the airport, and they just plain didn't show up. Then when I called repeatedly I just got a message saying 'we are helping another customer and it is outside normal business hours so please go to the website to make your reservation', then sent me to voicemail (it was the middle of the afternoon on a Wednesday, when the hell are their business hours?). I booked them because I've used them before and they were extremely reliable, but this is inexcusable.
