After our very underwhelming experience at the STC location, I decided to try out the new Pickering locations for breakfast with a few friends and it was much better. The ordering system was confusing as no one explained to us that we had to order on the tablet on the counter, so we sat and waited for the staff to acknowledge us after sitting down and waiting for 15+ minutes. Finally, one of us asked if they were going to take our order and only then we were told that we had to order at the counter. Geez. But after we ordered, the food came out promptly and cooked as requested and we dined in on delicious tater tots, eggs and fluffy Japanese pancakes. This was such a welcome change to all other breakfast joints in the area that only serve the traditional breakfast/brunch without much creativity. The water is self-serve (which was also not mentioned until we asked for water) as was the napkins, sugar...etc for your coffee. Very smallish restroom in the back was clean. Overall, our experience was good here so I would happily return to try their other offerings.

New menu items available featuring Japanese eats like chicken Karaage, pork katsu, udon noodle soup and sandos. Fuwa fuwa known for their souffle pancakes now have savoury dishes added to their menu. They also have special combo meals that include drinks like matcha and/or miso soup. This spot is open late for sweet tooth cravings. And service is always top notch. Come check out their new menu items

Great spot, cute/pretty food, bright and casual cafe vibes, family friendly. My family comes here occasionally, as I get salon services in the next plaza over. This most recent visit, we invited our parents for my little one's bday brunch. Fuwa Fuwa was her pick. It has a good selection of lunch options, not only sweets, as them being Asian and elderly don't really call for sweet foods lol. Food wise, I got the Chicken Karaage Croffle, and I wish it had more flavour, or a bit (more) salt in the chicken batter. The ube bubble tea was a delicious twist on an otherwise common drink. They also have a new games station, filled with family-friendly board games. My little one even enjoyed a match of chess against her grandma.

A great casual brunch spot in Pickering! I came here for a Sunday brunch with a few friends and it was a great experience. Since this is pretty pretty much considered a quick service establishment, you do place your order up at the counter and then they give you a number to take to your table and they bring your food out to you when it's ready. The pancakes are made to order so you're almost always guaranteed. very fresh food. It takes about 18-20min for them to make the pancakes. The service here was also great, especially from the owner. We were here on Thanksgiving weekend and he came to every table in the restaurant and gave everyone free keychains as a cute gesture for the holiday. The food itself was delicious, I got the classic souffle pancakes and they were so tasty! I loved that they were fluffy and not too sweet. it also came topped with a whipped cream which gave a nice texture balance and I also really liked that they gave maple syrup on the side in case you wanted it a little bit sweeter. Overall, I had a great first experience here and I will definitely be back!

I tried their new brunch menu and was delighted by the presentation & taste of the food. The croffle eggs benny & chicken karaage were made perfectly, paired with a salad to balance. I really enjoyed the egg salad that came on top of the chicken karaage croffle! We couldn't leave without trying their soufflé pancakes & their new ube flavour was amazing. The service was super friendly & I can't wait to return back with my family!! The interior is so clean & spacious, with very cute decor. The owners were super nice.

I love this spot! They have such a fun variety of desserts and the owners, who I've had the pleasure of getting to meet, have been introducing some items of their own too (I believe the ube pancake is exclusive to this location). The pancakes are my favourite of course... so fluffy and light. The croffles are delicious too. Their space has cute cafe vibes too, so it serves as a great hangout spot. I heard that this place gets busy on weekends, and they make their pancakes fresh which takes 20-30 minutes so be prepared to be patient.

I went for a late brunch / early dinner with my bestie today. She's been here before but it was my first time. I had the blueberry and cheese pancakes and she had the mango. I also had a burnt coffee cheesecake. The pancakes were so light and fluffy. I gave them the full jiggle test and they wiggle wiggle. The candied lemon was a nice contrast to the blue berry sauce and ice cream. The portion was huge and I was so stuffed. The coffee cheese cake was delicious . Again it was a nice portion, played beautifully and super flavorful. I was so full I had to bring the majority of it home . I had an amazing experience and I'll definitely be back

Went on their grand opening day so it was busier than usual. Probably waited 30 minutes for oreo pancake with ice cream but it's to be expected because it's made fresh. I'm not a fan of whip cream and didn't expect the whip cream to have the oreo flavoring. I thought I was getting oreo ice cream on the side with whip topping on top. The pancake itself was tasty and airy. The whip cream was light as well. I probably wouldn't order this again because I'm not a fan of the whip cream, but the quality of everything was good. I ordered a refresher with no ice, but they gave it to me with ice. The service was friendly. Good place if you're a fan of the pancakes. I might try the croffles next time.

After seeing some reviews on Durham Region Eats posts, I had to check out this new Japanese-style pancake joint...glad I did! Be patient if you dine-in (not sure if you would want to take out as not sure how it would taste), as the pancakes are made to order...we waited approx 20-25min for our order. Since we came after picking up my kid from school, she did her homework while we waited. Fluffy and not overly sweet...I hate whip cream but loooove their's as it's freshly made and light! Would totally recommend to go when they are not so busy...whenever that may be.

I cant tell you how exited I am that Durham got its first Japanese soufle pancake location. I went with my little one and he loved everything. According to him and his mom this place has the best jiggly pancakes . The owner and staffs are so friendly. The store is super clean and cute. A perfect place to handout with friends and family and if you are looking for recomandation dont miss their biscoff and cream brule pancake. Again Congratulations Fuwa Fuwa.

The place was nearly empty - one customer already seated and eating, and a group of 4 people in line ahead of me to order. There was only one person doing cash and making drinks and doing various other tasks, it took forever for anyone in line to place their order. I waited so long I started downloading their app to try ordering that way, but it did not have a "dine in" option. We tried their savory croffles and a mini cheesecake (chocolate flavour). The food took forever to arrive (turns out one of their staff was out getting eggs and milk from the grocery store!). After a while I asked for the cheesecake first since that doesn't require cooking! The croffle was an interesting concept that works well - it's a croissant shaped like a waffle. The cheesecake was average and I would not order again. My main complaint is that they were severely understaffed and that the wait was unacceptable even though the restaurant was basically empty. If it was even half full you'd have to wait up to an hour for your food! If you want to try this place, get their app and order way ahead for takeout.

But it finally did open, so we were excited to check them out on a recent Saturday. The place is very spacious and clean-looking inside, and we snagged a nice table right by a window. Given that the place is called Stacks, I decided to grab a short stack of the Classic Pancakes ("Made the old fashioned way with real buttermilk, our fluffy classic pancakes are a breakfast staple. Topped with powdered sugar and butter on the side.") They showed up a little while later and they sure looked picture perfect. And, as it turned out, they tasted just as good as they looked. These are exactly what you want out of traditional pancakes, as they're just so light and fluffy and completely addictive. We also tried the Scrambler Wrap ("Scrambled eggs, cheddar & sausage on a white or whole wheat tortilla with 2 potato pancakes"), which is quite possibly one of the largest breakfast wraps I've ever eaten. But it's very good, with its plentiful scrambled eggs and loads of Vienna sausages (or something very similar to a Vienna sausage). The potato pancakes were the one weak spot of the meal, as they had a weird gummy texture that just wasn't too appealing. The service was great, too. All in all, Stacks is a very cool little breakfast joint that makes a very nice addition to this stretch of Dundas.

The pancakes were delicious and worth it. The staff helped us through the menu, showed us the size of the pancakes, and even told us of the most popular dish. We went with the tiramisu (most popular) and strawberry chocolate sauce. The size of the pancakes were pretty large and two come in each order, so it is definitely shareable. My favorite was actually the strawberry chocolate sauce. The flavor stood out to me. The tiramisu was good, but I did not care for it as much. The fluffiness of the souffled pancakes was great and they melt in your mouth. I wish I had one of these in our town. A bit expensive, but a definite treat!
