Stopped by SCENIC Coffee + Brunch for the first time and was intrigued by their unique menu. I tried the black sesame latte and absolutely loved the sesame flavour. It was smooth, rich, and beautifully presented. For food, I went with the Yuzu Eggs Benedict, which was onsen eggs on a homemade southern biscuit, topped with yuzu miso hollandaise, and served with a fresh house salad and creamy Japanese potato salad. I added halloumi cheese as an extra, which added a nice salty bite that paired well with the tangy hollandaise. The biscuit was sturdy enough to hold everything together, and the eggs had a perfectly runny yolk. I also tried the strawberry mochi pancakes, which were fluffy with a subtle chewiness from the mochi, topped with sweet strawberry compote, matcha cream, and toasted almonds for a bit of crunch. Service was friendly, the space was clean, and the menu offers some creative flavour combinations you do not see everywhere. Overall, a nice spot to try if you are looking for something a bit different. I give it 3.5 stars so rounded up on yelp as 3 is too low.

Over the weekend, we walked over for brunch and was surprised at how busy they are over the weekend! We were lucky to be seated immediately. Between the 2 of us, we ordered a black sesame french toast and an okonomiyaki. Not many places offer black sesame french toast so I was excited to try it. They put black sesame spread between what appears to be shokupan. It's pretty delicious and goes as a nice dessert after the savoury okonomiyaki! The only concern we have is the wait for the food. Maybe they were short staffed that day, but the wait was longer than when we were last there. Overall, we are happy to have them in the neighbourhood and that they're busy!

Late brunch ! I think this is a new place in leslieville. I only came across it when my dear friend mentioned it. The service was great, our server was very nice and helpful. It was pretty quiet when I went, Tuesday mid morning time. I like it like that. I can enjoy my meal and conversation without interruptions. The food was good! And good serving size for me. It's so close to home, might just come back on another weekday brunch !

SCENIC coffee + brunch, nestled in Leslieville, expertly crafts coffee and classic brunch staples with a contemporary Japanese twist. Imagine yuzu eggs benedict and strawberry mochi pancakes. If you just want a nibble with your coffee, try their snacks like the okonomiyaki grilled cheese. Brunch

Good Japanese style brunch on the east end! My only complaint was that the menu is very paired down compared to the menu I found online, which I assume is the menu for the Markham location. I got the black sesame French toast which was delicious! Honestly it didn't even need the maple syrup. BF got the Benny and he liked it too. The rose latte is VERY good- would recommend. I would come back if they added more to the menu but honestly, nothing else really stood out at me.

Been here a couple of times now, and my wife and I have fallen in love with this place. Really enjoy the Japanese fusion take they have on standard brunch items. We've been making our way through the menu and have tried: - Yuzu Eggs Benedict: The biscuit is made in-house, and you can taste the difference. Like the onsen eggs which have a gooey texture to them. The side potato salad is really tasty. - The Scenic: While I enjoyed the eggs benny more, the beauty of this dish is the shokupan toast, which was thick and pillowy and milky. - Okonomiyaki Grilled Cheese: Standard grilled cheese that's made a thousand times more interesting with the contrasting flavours of the bonito and nori. - Black Sesame French Toast: Not a combination I'd ever seen but this definitely works. The thick milky shokupan bread sandwiches a generous spread of nutty black sesame. Again, the contrasting flavours elevate the dish. - Blueberry Mochi Pancakes: Airy pillows with a generous heaping of blueberries. - Mochi Cookie: Soft and chewy, with a nicely gummy interior. - Coffee: Have tried the flat white, cortado, and hojicha latte. The hojicha latte is definitely the best and most interesting one. Service is friendly and helpful. Prices are what they are these days. Space is bright and well laid out. Overall vibe is causal and welcoming. As you can see, really like this place and will be back for more.

I would give 10 if I could!! The brunch was delicious, the staff super friendly and the ambiance beautiful!!! I got the yuzu eggs benedict and tried the black sesame french toast. Thanks Leo for your hospitality, I can't wait to return and try the rest of your amazing menu.

Clean and quaint café. The sesame latté was unique in flavor to me and I ordered another one to go. I really enjoyed that hollandaise as it was not too rich and the compote was not too sweet. There's a delicate touch to the meals and very enjoyable. I do not live in the neighborhood but will go back again and again. I can't forget about the service. The staff were very friendly, attentive, and amusing.

Came here for brunch on the weekend around 230. The place wasn't packed so we got seated right away. I got the kinako soy latte and my partner got the hojicha katte to drink. Both are creamy and delicious. For food, we got the yuzu benedict with black forest ham, the classic breakfast with eggs, japanese milk bread toast, pea meal bacon, side salad and potato salad, and the blueberry mochi pancakes. Everything tasted fresh and flavorful. The toasts were my fav. Can't beat the milk bread with its soft, fluffy texture. The eggs were cooked to perfection and the side greens salad was refreshing. The pancakes were alright, a little dense for my taste but I appreciate the blueberry compote and little honeycomb pieces. Service was attentive. And it's a cute space inside.

The almond croissant, when you're lucky enough to claim one before nine, delivers a genuinely impressive balance of shattering, buttery layers and a filling laced generously with almond cream, more Parisian in spirit than most bakeries attempting the same feat across this city. Even the raspberry version, when available, carries the same confident hand in the kitchen. The coffee program deserves equal praise. A well pulled latte and a properly balanced cappuccino suggest a team that treats espresso with the same seriousness as their pastry case, and it shows in the cup. Where the experience finds room to grow is in the choreography of the space itself. The room is petite, charming in its cobalt blue framed way, but the flow between ordering and pickup can feel cramped during a rush, and seating fills quickly. The patio, however, is a genuine reward, a shaded perch worth claiming on a slow afternoon. This is a cafe operating with real ambition and skill, let down only occasionally by its own popularity. Arrive early, claim a croissant while you still can, and settle onto the patio; you'll leave understanding exactly why regulars keep coming back.

The line moved quick, even though it wrapped around, we waited for about 20 minutes only. The menu has some cool items, a few fusion dishes and trendy items. Awesome presentation and definitely Instagram worthy. I got the huevos rancheros, it was more like an egg burrito with beans, sauce and potatoes on top. The potatoes were probably my favourite out of everything. It was good but not the traditional you would expect. My friends sadly did not like their eggs benedict. The coffee was also average, not very strong or fragrant. Service was absolutely terrible. Our sever took so long to come, we see him just chatting in the corner. It was hard to flag him down for anything. It was not a nice experience. The menu does have some other cool items I do want to try (pancakes and french toast)... so maybe I will give it another shot if I am in the area one day.

Very friendly service (server was Crystal). Sat outside and still was attended to attentively - typically worried that patio seating gets less attention but that wasn't the case here. The menu excited me as brunch usually is a choice between sweet or savoury, but they have various options with both. Got the Indecisive with the eggs poached medium ( would recommend soft for future or sunny side up). The pistachio latte was yummy but with the matcha pancakes it became too sugary of a meal. Overall a casual yet put together vibe. Great for friends, dates, solo, or family. Washrooms not the cleanest, but the dining area was good. Did notice a few more birds than typical patios (tried to eat our scraps as we were waiting for the bill).

This place looks like a fairly typical breakfast spot, offering a good amount of seating, large menus for both breakfast and Lunch, and of course, a ton of different pancake options! I'm usually not someone who orders temporary menu items or specials, but the second I saw the S'More Toffee Lava Pancakes I almost had a heart attack, so of course, I ordered the stupid pancakes to avoid such an problem. The food didn't take too long to come out, and they looked even better in person than they did in the menu. Maybe I'm just a little over enthusiastic about these pancakes, but I can pretty confidently say these may of been the best pancakes I've ever had. They were big, fluffy, and this plate did not skimp on the toppings at all. Overall, Stacked Pancake & Breakfast has definitely become a go-to spot for me when returning to Toronto. The food here was phenomenal and even though it took us almost 30 minutes for someone to give us a bill and let us pay, the pancakes were too good for me to get hung up on that.
