Since my last visit, I've also switched from coffee to tea, and my order included English Breakfast. I was wondering why it took so long to arrive, my thought was, "It's just hot water and a tea bag." Bzzzt, wrong! I was actually brought a heavy duty porcelain teapot with the English Breakfast leaves steeping, and they did not deliver it until it was ready. Well done!! The portion was so generous I ate half of it myself. Both meals came with fresh buttered sourdough toast, and we splurged on fresh-squeezed orange juice. Our server was fantastic, keeping our coffee cups perpetually full--and when he noticed how much we loved it, he sent us off with to-go cups as we left. That's service. The place was packed and buzzing--understandably so on one of Montreal's first warm weekends after winter. The patio opens onto a pedestrian area and was completely full of people soaking up the sunshine. It was a bit loud with the crowd, but that's the price of popularity.
